If you downloaded the app in iTunes on your computer, and synced the iPod touch, you can unselect the app in iTunes, in the iPod's sync settings for Apps, and Sync the iPod again.
If you downloaded the app directly on the iPod touch, tap and hold on the app's icon (on the iPod's screen). The icons start to "jiggle." Click the X next to the app's icon, to remove that app from the iPod.

My daughter made a $49.99 in-app purchase of 1400 gems for Home Design Story. She says she does not know how she purchased it. Is there anyway to remove that from my purchases?
Apple allows apps to list themselves as "Free" if the initial download is free, even if the app has kid-oriented inducements for costly in-app purchases. The in-app purchases are almost always ridiculous, over-priced game accessories, of which your example of "1400 gems for $49.99" is right up there. It is way too caveat emptor for my taste, but each consumer can form their own opinion on that.
To Apple's credit, they have a good record of granting refunds providing you explain the extenuating circumstances (purchase by a minor) and only ask once. Contact iTunes Customer Service.
As roaminggnome notes, you need to place restrictions on the devices. The restrictions are off by default, so you need to take action to do this. See this document: iOS: Understanding Restrictions -

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

I downloaded 2 apps that said "FREE".
One of them was OmniFocus which cost 39.99 dollars
and the other one was Things which was 19.99 dollars.
I'm sure that both of them said 'FREE' next to them when I downloaded them
because usually when you have to pay,
they tell you once more about the price and if i really want to buy it or not.
But both of the times, they didn't ask me anything at all.
When I clicked Free, it turned to Install and when I cliked Install, they were downloaded right away.
So i thought I got them for free but later I got a mail saying that I had paid for those 2 apps!
I did sent a mail to them but can I actually get my 60 dollars back?
There was nothing that I did wrong in the process so would it be possible to get my money back?Do a doublecheck, access the App Store from a different computer and see if you see 'free' instead of a price. Also, check the reviews, if something wrong is happening then it's probably not only happening to you.
The terms of sale for the App Store is that all sales are final, however that may not always be the case.

I searched the App Store and what I saw was several free omnis, but the omnifocus did have a price on it. Perhaps you clicked the wrong box? -

Without knowing what app you are talking about, no one here can explain what happended. We can however, make certain assumptions.
Many, free games include "in-app" purchases.... items that you can buy within the game that let you unlock other levels, or use to enhance the game experience. Some free games are lite versions and if you agree to upgrade the game, you may have to pay for the upgrade.
So like I said without knowing what game you are talking about and what you might have done during game play, we can only guess. But .... You should have been required to enter your password when you made any purchases - unless you had already entered your password for another reason - maybe to download a free app perhaps.
Once you enter your password, you can download continuously without having to re-enter the password for a 15 minute period of time so if that's the case, only you would know what happened. If that's not the case, more details will be needed from you for a further explanation. -

Open the App Store app, go to the Featured pane, swipe to the bottom, tap your Apple ID and sign out. Tap again and sign in. The App Store will be changed to the store for which your account is authorized to make purchases.

PowerPC refers to the processing chip used by Apple before they transferred to Intel chips. They are very different, and applications written only for PPC Macs cannot work on a Mac running Lion.
You could contact the developers to see if they have an updated version in the pipeline. -

How do you backup your contacts? If via Backup Assistant, you can edit them via your on-line MyVerizon account. If via g-mail, you could edit them via your gmail account.

iTunes Store menu > View My Account...
Sign in and select "See All" in Purchase History.
You can only see them in "batches" of ten. As far as I know there is no way to obtain a comprehensive summary.
The prices are tabulated in that list. If they were supposed to be free, and they show that you were charged, then click the arrow next to the suspect purchases and click "report a problem". -

Free means Free....
As both Johnathan and Demo have indicated, if it says Free there is no charge associated with it. If you upgrade to a "Pro" version, or if you do in-app purchases, then it is no longer free....but when you initially install the app, you do not pay anything if it says "Free".
And "Yeah? I'll show you" does not help us to understand what you are talking about. If you want help, then provide specifics and we will help you to figure out your misunderstanding.
