I already have a router. Can I use the TC as storage only?

I moved into a house that already had a wireless network in place. I also had recently purchaced a time capsule, but never set it up. So now, I'm trying to back up my computer without dismanteling the existing set up. Can I do this? I've plugged in the TC and it has a flashing amber light (I'm assuming that it is because it is not connected to the Ethernet).

You will want to configure the Time Capsule (TC) to "join" your existing wireless network. (ref: AirPort Utility > Manual Setup > Time Capsule > Wireless > Wireless Mode = Join a wireless network)
I would recommend using airport utility 5.6 to accomplish this, which can be found herehttp://support.apple.com/kb/DL1482
You will also need to push <Option> key while clicking on the wireless mode selection.
It might be easier to connect to it via an ethernet cord while you are setting it up to join versus being a router.

Extending using a wireless connection always results in a performance compromise.
If the Express is going to extend using a wireless connection, then the Express will need to be located about half way between the AirPort Extreme and the general area where you need more wireless coverage. The more that you have line-of-sight between the Extreme and Express, the better the network will operate.
Remember......the Express can only "extend" the quality and signal speed that it receives, so it needs to be located where it can get a very good signal from the Extreme. Although Apple cleverly uses the term "extend", a more accurate term for the Express would be "repeater".
If the Express will extend by connecting to the Extreme using a permanent, wired Ethernet cable connection......highly recommended for best performance.....then the Express can be located exactly where you need more wireless coverage. There is no signal loss at all through the Ethernet cable, so the Express gets a full speed signal no matter where it might be located.

Can I use the black ink cartridge only, & quit replacing the color cartridge when it's empty?

I have an HP Officejet 6210 all in one printer that takes color ink (#95) and black ink (#94). I only want to print in black and white. The color cartridges are more expensive and since I don't want to use them, I don't want to replace it. Can I have the printer bypass the color cartridge (and the notifications that come with an emply cartridge) so it will allow me to use the black cartridge (#94) only and let the #95 sit there empty? (ie it tries to print from there and I get the blank sheets...want to default it to the black ink cartridge 100% of time.) I waste too much money on ink and wish to use the cheaper cartridge (#94) always.

Can't agree more. HP's strategy of getting more sells of its cartrige is notorious. It really drives consumers away. I am ditching my HP printer and getting a Brother instead.

How can I use the Time Capsule in only 802.11b/g?

I think I am getting interferences on my 5GHz phone from the time capsule, which I have running in 802.11n mode with b/g compatitibility. I assume if the Time Capsule was running in 802.11b/g mode I would not get the intereferences?
The Airport utility does not seem to have a setting to use the Time Capsule in 802.11b/g only. Is there a way to accomplish this?

Currently, only Apple apps (Pages, Numbers, etc.) can back up
data to iCloud. There is no way to use it to just simply backup any files.
There are some workarounds to get some data stored.
PDFs and any other document that can be read by Preview
can be backed up in iCloud. Load the document into Preview,
select Export..., click on the directory dropdown, then select

Only if you get a family pack license newer than the installer disk which came with the computer(s) can you install it on multiple computers. Check your license agreement.

Not sure what you are asking here. The AirPort Extreme is only going to be as fast as the Internet connection that it receives.....which is 75/75. It cannot take a 75/75 connection and make it go any faster.
If you locate the AirPort Extreme in an area where you need more wireless signal coverage, the AirPort Extreme would deliver 75/75 in that area. But, keep in mind that the AirPort Extreme must connect to the FIOS router using a permanent, wired Ethernet cable connection.
If you are asking if the AirPort Extreme can wirelessly connect to the FIOS modem router, and extend the FIOS wireless network, the AirPort Extreme would not be compatible with a FIOS product for that purpose.
