At this point, you should try reinstalling OSX.

You can split a project in two by doing this.
1) Go to the Project Library View.
2) Select your project, and click FILE/DUPLICATE PROJECT. Give it a name like "your project name - part 1".
3) Do this again. This time name it "your project name - part 2"
4) Open Part 1 for editing. Delete everything in the second half.
5) Open Part 1 for editing. Delete everything in the first half of the project.
At the end you should have your original project, plus the same project in two parts.

There is no "world apple warranty" on iPhones. As paulcb points out, the warranty is only valid in the country of origin. You will have to bring it to the U.S. or send it to someone you know there to get it serviced.

RE: "Access Denied" question following install of Firefox. I have same problem. Details follow: I tried opening in Safe Mode which did not work. I have Administrative access. When I click the general tab in properties I get a message that "firefox.exe" does not exist. Neither that file nor any other "install" type of file appears in the Mozilla Firefox directory except for "uninstall". I have downloaded and tried to install seven times from six different sources, including Mozilla, all with the same results. I've also tried a number of solutions from the web for this error message with no greater success. I tried, first, doing an upgrade then deleted the older version of Firefox and have done "install" since. Avast, Malwarebytes and Threatfire have found no malware.
I have never had a similar problem with Firefox before and I've used it for years. Anyone have any ideas I haven't already tried? I'm tired of using Internet Explorer! RE: troubleshooting information below--Windown will not open the downloaded file.

Other solutions to this have been to uninstall and use CCleaner to clean up any old registries. However this will loose data from the profile.

Can't update iMovie because I have low storage, how do I fix this?

Hey, so I just recently got a white iPhone 4s 16gb and I love it! Before I had a black 32gb iPod Touch 4gen. My iPod touch was almost fill. When I transfered everything over to my phone, I got rid of the extras, like pictures and certain apps and podcasts. iTunes says I have 0.29GB left. When I go to update an app on my phone, like iMovie, it says I don't have enough storage and prompts me to click a button to take me to manage storage. When I go to manage storage it says I have 5Gb of storage avaible on iCloud. It also says I can buy more storage. It said Doodle Jump was using storage so I deleted the storage. I deleted iMovie, but it won't let me re-install it because I still don't have enough storage. I have no clue what to do! Anyone?

Icloud sotarate has NOTHING to do with it.
You need storage on your device if you are trying to update an app on your device.
You need to delete some stuff from your iphone.

Since installing Time Capsule, all other devices have problem with their internet connection

3 or 4 weeks ago my sister bought herself a Time Capsule to use with her IMac and since we have a big house and the Wifi Connection is pretty weak at her room, she connected it with our devolo dlan ethernet(which makes a connection between the time capsule and the router via electrical cables). I also use the same system for my xbox360/ps4 and never had any problems, but since she no longer has her Imac connected directly(WLan from her Time Capsule) something is messed up. If I don't unplug her Time Capsule I'm not able at all to connect with the Internet with my Xbox360 and with my Ps4 I'm only able once in 6-10 trials and only for about 5-30 seconds. But this isn't even all, my Laptop which has top Connection to our home network and also to the time capsule network sometimesneeds me to change between them for about a dozen times till it finally is able to make a connection with the Internet and even then it loses the connection to the Internet from time to time.
So my Question is, is it possible that the Time Capsule screws up some of the routing of the router and what can I do about it?
My Sister is happy because she finally has a good wifi connection in her room, but it got unbearable for me because it screws up the internet connection of every single electronical gadget I own and I don't want to have to unplug my sisters' time capsule every time she isn't in her room.

Yes, the TC can be messing things up. It is in router mode and is providing the dhcp in the wrong network to clients in the wrong places..
The TC should be in bridge mode.. is it.. ??
Go to the setup of the TC in the airport utility and check the setup.

Help! Can't update iwork and imovie because "You have updates available for other accounts".

I recently purchased Macbook Pro with iMovie, iwork keynotes, pages and numbers preloaded in the machine. Now the App Store icon indicates that I have updates available. So when I open up app store and click update, I got an warning stating " You have updates avaialbe for other accounts - to update this application, sing in to the account you used to purchase it".
I called tech support. I was told that I must have had another account. But clearly I don't have another account. I'm not alzheimer. If I had another account, I would have remembered it. I used the same account for ipod, iphone, itune for many many years. So I went on the support communities for help. I read some post saying I should add my hard drive to spotlight privacy, then remove it. I tried it, it didn't work. Some said I need to enable something by entering a script to the terminal. I followed the steps, it didn't work. Then some other post said that I should delete the apps, then reinstall it. So stupidly enough, I deleted keynotes to "TEST" if it works. Guess what? I completed removed keynotes from my macbook. I can't even recover it?! At least before I deleted it, I had the old version of keynotes although obsolete, still functional. Now I removed it, I don't even know how to reinstall it.
So, I'm so update and dying for help. Can someone please teach me how to make my Macbook understand that I only have one account and let me update iMovie and iwork? Also, how to restore the accidentally deleted Keynotes?

iTunes version 10.6.3 was released June 2012 and works with Lepoard OS 10.5.8. If the version of iTunes on your MacBook is older then you could try updating to version 10.6.3.

I would like to upgrade to the next step, but because I have many problems with the version 10.4.11, I'm worried that upgrading would create more problems.

Due to a misunderstanding with [email protected] in September of 2010, many of my applications and important files were put into the trash during a cleaning. The trash hadn't been deleted, so a CleanApp rep told me to drag my important files to a folder on my desktop. They were unable to help me with anymore advice with the exception that if I followed the pathway of the application, I could manually restore it to its proper location.
This was asking a lot of me because I didn't have the experience or knowledge of undertaking such a massive restoration. However, I did the best I could. What had been put in the trash was not just a few files -- there were hundreds of files or apps that I discovered in the trash. As I said, this was a misunderstanding. I was left feeling devastated at what had happened.
Since then, my iMac Intel Core Duo has been running on its last legs. I'm surprised I can even get to my email. As far as using the software that I bought with my iMac, I can't. I just do the basics.
What I have been wanting to do is to upgrade to the next level. However, I worry that if I upgrade a crippled OS X 10.4.11 Tiger, I would be creating more problems than what I already have. Do you agree that an upgrade would make matters worse?

It won't necessarily make it worse, but may not make it better. I am not familiar with the utility you usedm though anything that cleans or maintains your Mac should be avoided unless you know what you are doing and what it does. Probably re-installing software from the official sources (download or CDs) is the best way to ensure missing parts are all replaced.
If this is a core duo and not a core 2 duo then the highest you can go is Snow Leopard 10.6 Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac", then "More Info..." Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present).

Installing XP on a macbook - I have a problem can anybody help me?

I have a macbook running Snow Leopard and I tried to use Bootcamp to install Windows XP.
Bootcamp runs ok and I was taken through the partitioning but when I get to the "Welcome to Setup" screen with the following options ....
To Set up Windows XP now, press ENTER
To repair a Windows XP installation using Recovery Console, press R
To quit setup without installing Windows XP. press F3
the keyboard won't allow me to do anything - I can't press enter, R or F3 and I have to turn the computer off at the power button.
Does anybody have any idea where I am going wrong?

Are you installing Windows XP (32-bit) SP2 or higher? SP1 is not supported; wondering if you've been trying to install Sp1?
Also if you're using a wireless keyboard and mouse, try connecting a USB keyboard before powering up and hopefully WinXP installation can be repaired.

Installed Mac OS Lion and now have internet problems??

So, I've installed the new Mac OS Lion on my MacBook Pro and now can only connect to the internet using Firefox - no Safari, no app store or anything else for that matter. Has anyone else experienced the same problems?
I've never had this problem on Snow Leopard and when I go through the Network Diagnostics it says that the internet connection (Wi-Fi) is perfect?!
What's going on??
I'm now having serious doubts of why I upgraded...

Ever since I upgraded to Mavericks the Finder freezes up on me all the time. Does anyone else have this problem?

I recently upgraded my 27" iMac from Mac OS 10.6.8 to Mavericks 10.0.1. Now my finder freezes all the time, usually when transfering a file from one folder to another. Most recently I simply double clicked on my Macintosh HD icon and got the spinning beach ball. I then am forced to force the computer to shut down, and start up again.

Sounds like the backup you're using to restore from is corrupt. Restoring from a corrupt backup will continue to restore the problem. I'd suggest you start fresh and delete all of your current iPhone backups(there should only be one). You can delete them here: iTunes>Preferences>Devices.

In order to run a PERL script under Windows NT the iPlanet Web Server needs to know where to find the PERL interpreter.
follow these steps :
1) Make sure Windows NT knows what a .pl file is. In file Manager click on file and choose associate from the menu. Check the "files with extension" drop-down list for pl - if it exists verify that it is pathed to your perl.exe. If it is not already on the list click the "New Type" button. In the Filetype box put pl. Choose open from the Action drop-down list. In the Command box specify the full path to your perl.exe interpreter (Make sure to use short filenames, rather than long filenames.) Click the OK button. Then click the Close button in the main Associate dialog box. Double click a .pl file to test - it should automatically launch the PERL interpreter and feed it your .pl file.
2) Create a directory to contain your .pl scripts.
~server_root\shell-cgi is a good choice.

NOTE: Make very sure that this directory is NOT part of the document root, it should have it's own directory (preferably at the same level of the docroot).
3) In the Admin Server select Programs.
4) Choose CGI directory (normally) or WinCGI directory or ShellCGI Directory depending on ur choice from the Programs menu.
5) Put the URL Prefix you would like to map to your Shell-CGI directory into the URL Prefix field.
6) Put the full path to your Shell-CGI directory in the Shell CGI directory field.
7) Click OK.
8) The save and apply changes page will display your changes and give you the opportunity to verify them. If they are correct click the Save and Apply button. If not Click the Undo button and go back to step 4.
(9)You can then call your .pl scripts directly by referencing the directory mapping that you have just created. For example:
http://my.server.whatever/shell-cgi/ myscript.pl
this should work now.
