Do you have Extension Manager for CC?
Adobe - Exchange : Download the Adobe Extension Manager
You cannot use .ZXP extensions with any other extension manager.

If you still have an issue you may have to see about using the iTunes version (application) included with Snow Leopard 10.6 from the installer or an another one if available online, and see if that will install.
Sometimes you may have uninstall the bits left in your system by the earlier (or later) iTunes installers; as they all leave a trace and these can stop a different version of iTunes from being installed.

Adobe reader (11.3.2) PDF's on ipad and getting error that the file is corrupt!!

i have the latest Adobe reader from the app store (11.3.2) however i am struggling to open PDF's on ipad and getting error that the file is corrupt!!
any help or suggestions welcome

Would you describe how you transferred the PDF file to your iPad and iPhone? Did you send it as an email attachment and open it on your iPad and iPhone?
The file may have been corrupted by Apple Mail, which is a known problem. Please see Problem #1 in the FAQ document How to avoid known PDF email attachment problems.
Would you try some experiments so that we can troubleshoot the problem? During the experiments, please use cloud storage (e.g. Acrobat.com, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.) and avoid sending the PDF file as an email attachment.
Rename the corrupted/damaged PDF file on your iPad. For example, add "_damaged.pdf" to the file name.
Upload the corrupted/damaged PDF file to the cloud storage of your choice.
Download the corrupted/damaged PDF file from the cloud storage to your Windows or Mac desktop computer.
Open it in the desktop version of Adobe Reader XI for Windows or Mac.
Does Adobe Reader XI on your desktop computer display an error message?
Upload the (good) PDF file on your iPhone to the cloud storage.
Download the (good) PDF file from the cloud storage to your iPad.
Open it in Adobe Reader on your iPad.
Does Adobe Reader on your iPad display an error message?

Trying to import any photo I get message "There was an error opening the file." This is new. What can this be about

Please see if the file is a valid one (try opening the image in any other image editor/browser). What is the extension and source of the image?

Hi Anil, I experienced the same issue when uploading the file. I resolved this by removing the " characters contained when pasting in the new values.

I get error message " The file "Print.ai"is in an unknown format and cannot be opened"

I receive that message when I try to open a new document. My others such as Photoshop and In Design are fine as far as I can tell.
I'm using CS4 on Windows 7.

You can try this:
Place the .ai file into InDesign then exported it as an .eps file and then open it on Illustrator.

I installed windows 7 recently and also Adobre reader XI, and now I cannot open any of my previously created pdfs. Every time I get the message: Error opening the file. Access denied. What is going on?

Recently I had to install windows 7 in my notebook because XP doesn't have more support. Before installing I backed up all my files to my external HD. Now that I instaleed windows 7 and also installed Acrobat Reader XI, I just cannot open any of my pdf files created prior to installing windows 7.
Looking for help online, I found the solution of security and giving me access as an administrator to all my files, but it still keeps the same...
Can some one please help me out?? I really need to work on many of this files ASAP.

Can you start Adobe Reader?

I downloaded an album and only half of the songs will load on my IPod, I get and error saying the files could not be converted

I downloaded the Beatles White Album I am getting errors saying the file cannot be converted next to each song that will not load on the IPod 16 songs were loaded and the will not, I restored the IPod twice and still get the same errors any help appreciated, I checked convert the higher bit rate songs to 128 kps this is the first album that will not load for me

Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.

If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

External Hard drive getting errors when copying files?

When I'm copying files to my hard drive I keep getting errors that the file is in use. It was originally stopping at around the 167.8MB mark everytime when I try copying files over and giving me that error. As this is a 1TB HDD I have no way of backing it up until I get to the US (currently studying in Australia). So just wondering if anyone had ideas.
Things I've done:
- Tried using HDD over Firewire/USB and with other Macs still same errors
- Tried Disk Utility and sometimes it I get no errors with the disk when I do Repair/Verify Disk or I get an error where the disk can't be unmounted
- I get that error of unmounting when I normally unmount them and I have to unplug the HDD for it to be readable again.
- I try copying files from it or to it, and sometimes files copy to my Computer entirely even 2GB ones, but other times it stops at random intervals, and it always stops when copying files to the HDD that never works, usually stops at random times. :\
Any suggestions, help, or programs I can use for HDD repair would be great!

I am trying to open a file in my BDC program and get the following error "error opening input file". Its a text file with continuous data. No delimiters and hence character count will be used to parse the data.
I am using the following statement to open it..
OPEN DATASET p_file FOR INPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING DEFAULT.
but sy-subrc is set to 8 !!

This is pretty confusing !!I would explain to you my exact issue !!
I have a program in which there is no GUI_UPLOAD call but just a direct open dataset statement !!
This program runs fine for my collegue who has the file in a server (not the application server). She gives the full path name as
servername\foldername\filename.
I tried doing the same but as I did not have access to that server, it failed. So I received that file from her and stored it in my local system. So on program execution, i gave the path as c:\filename and I got the error message "Error opening the file"
Find below some code extracts..

If I make work in Premiere CC but lose access to CC, do I lose the ability to open the file and edit my work?

I'm currently using Premiere CS6. Premiere CC looks appealing in terms of the updates, but not the payment model. If I can't pay for CC for a while, or switch to another program one day, will I lose the ability to open any of my Premiere CC files? It's shocking how often I go back to an old project that was made in an ancient program that I no longer use, but because I forever own that software, I'm always able to open the file up and make whatever changes necessary so I can bring the file into a more current program. Is this workflow lost if I lose access to CC? If this is the case, I may have to stick to CS6 just because I have the disks and know I'll always be able to install the programs and access my files.

Error opening fla file.

Hi,
I am a relative newcomer to the world of Flash, so I apologize if this issue is a bit mindless for the veterans.
I am working with Flash CS6 on a Macbook Pro and recently encountered a problem when trying to open a file. An error message pops up, saying 'there was an error opening the file...'. No further details are available.
Looking at the file information, there is still data there, as the size is about 300MB.
I've tried some amateur sleuthing online for a solution, mostly involving changing the .fla extentsion to .rar and repairing the file that way, but nothing I have tried has resolved the issue.
Am I essentially out of luck, or is there a reliable solution for this kind of problem?

I had actually previously zipped and unzipped the file and ended up with a folder full of stuff that I didn't know what to do with. Again, this is where my amateur understanding comes into play.
In the unzipped folder, there are 'bin', 'library' and 'meta-inf' folders, as well as a 'DOMDocument.xml' file, a 'MobileSettings.xml' file, a 'PublishSettings.xml' file and finally a file called 'mimetype'.
Should I be encouraged by this?
I'm pretty clueless at this point about how I might proceed from here. I see that the 'library' folder contains all the sound files for the project (it's a soundboard), but is there a way to go from this point to recovering the project as it was before this issue came up? Or am I stuck with starting the project all over gain?

Looks like. I tried in the TextEdit format tab to set all the combinations while opening the file, like plain text, rtf and html without success. Always I get the same signs.

Since you've shown us the folder contents it's a good bet it isn't in use (no lock file). And it doesn't look like the file is mis-named as there doesn't seem to be anything else there that would be the .indd file (but just in case, open it in TextEdit and paste the first few lines here so we can see what the file header says), so the most likely case is the file is damaged. Is that on a removable device of some sort?
You can try the tool at Repair corrupt InDesign Adobe files on Mac OS X or send me a link to the file by private message and I'll try the recovery tool I have for Windows.
