I am a lost Photoshop Soul....

Ok. I could not open my NEF files. I looked at what version I was using and it was 4.0
I shoot with a Nikon D300.....so I need the 4.3 version or above. This much I know. But when I pull 4.0 onto my desktop and replaced it with 4.3 (tried 4.6 but thats a whole other story) photoshop didn't show it in my help/camera raw. Infact it showed nothing for camera raw. I can see my images in bridge but I still get an error message when I click it to photoshop. Can someone help me please before I cut the cord on the computers life......its that serious!! Haha

4.0 what? You must mean ACR. Replaced it with downloads of what? Where did you put them?
You have to remove previous versions of the ACR plug-in and put the new one in its place; you can't over-write it.
I recommend you remove all copies of the plug-in, download the latest and follow the instructions on the download page exactly.

Photoshop 7.0 only goes as far as 10.4.11
If you have a drive, you can put 10.4.11 on it or a partition of it
and save some money.
I am not convinced the upgrade is worth it,
but I just do simple things.

Lightroom 1.2 has lost Photoshop CS3 as external editor

In Lightroom 1 I used Photoshop CS2 as external editor and lightroom has found it with the first choice of external editors.
In Lightroom 1.1 I used Photoshop CS3 as external editor and lightroom has also found CS3 in the first choice of external editors. CS2 was deinstalled.
Now I have Lightroom 1.2 and this version doesn't automatically find cs3. I have only installed lightroom 1.2 and have nothing done with the installation of cs3.
How can I solve the problem, because I want to have two external editors?

Try the following link. The upgrade to 1.2 lost track of CS3 for me too. I fixed it by editing the registry as outlined in the article.

Lost Photoshop Elements 5 CD, but have serial

I need to reinstall Photoshop Elements 5 on a new computer, but I lost the CD. I still have the CD case with the serial on it. I also registered my copy when I first bought it. Does anyone know if I can install the software online somewhere?

Lost Photoshop CS4 when hard drive died. Is is possible to download it again?

I purchased Photoshop CS4 and InDesign in 2008 as a student as a download. My hardrive recently died so I lost all of my installed software. I purchased these so long ago that I no longer have the e-mail receipt or serial number. Is it possible to somehow download CS4 again so I don't have to pay for PS again?

A couple of days ago I upgraded from CS4 to CS5, and all was well. Yesterday, I uninstalled CS4 and lost the link between LR3 and CS5. When attempting Photo>Edit In, Photoshop and all Photoshop related options are grayed out. It worked fine when CS4 was there, but as soon as I uninstalled it, it was gone. All of my plugins are there, but no Photoshop. Any idea how to get it back? Please, keep in mind that I am not a computer nerd.....I'm a photography nerd. Thanks in advance.

Easiest is to uninstall/reinstall CS5 (see also this Adobe KB article).

Lost Photoshop Program.

My computer crashed a few months ago and had to be repaired and completely reconfigured by Apple. I lost my Photoshop program along with anything else. I have moved twice since I purchased Photoshop and now I can't find the program ANYWHERE. Is there anything I can do?

If it was registered, it's listed on your user account and you can download it or at least call support based on teh info there. If not, well, then you will probably have to buy a new license of whgatever "Photoshop program" you mean.

Lost PhotoShop CS4 File Associations!

I just uninstalled CS3 on my main PC as I already have CS4 installed on it and no longer use CS3 and needed the HDD space. After I did so, all of my files associations that I had to PhotoShop have now been blown out! How to do I get all of them all back easily? I do not want to have to do a reinstallation and I have no idea what all of the file types are that are associated with CS4. Thanks in advance for any and all help provided.

In Bridge there is a file association menu, check the make sure this is set for CS4. Otherwise this is probalby a windows thing. If you have Vista go to control panel/default programs/associate files. Click on the file and and browse to select CS4 as default program.
In Windows XP I believe you open windows explorer and click on folder options/details
