I am a nurse, I use Firefox for MUMMS charting. I am not able to enter, or look at a new admission. Please help!!!

I entered an admission in my computer, and when I closed the visit and syncronized the visit, the admission for my patient disappeared---forever!! I did this twice and then did the admission on my husband's PC. When admission was completed, I closed the visit and syncronized the visit. I was able to view the admission on my husband's PC, and my coworkers were able to view the admission on their computers. I, however, was NOT able to view the admission on my laptop. When I bring up the patient's name I see a chart with nothing in it. I also show another visit for that patient that is opened with nothing in it. On my husband's computer I have no additional opened visit. I can chart on admissions already in the computer with no problem. I MUST use my laptop because I am a hospice nurse and I am on the road all day. MUMMS can be entered offline and then syncronized later. I called the teacher for MUMMS and she said this is a technical issue and thought that you might be able to connect into my computer to see what is going on. Hi Vicki, when you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
This may take a few minutes if you have accumulated a lot of cached files.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first) using the following dialog. While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page and logging back in. Will the data load?
Note: this is a public site, so definitely don't post information on connecting to your laptop here!

You can't back up to iCloud until you update to iOS 5 or higher. You will have to back up your iPod on your computer using iTunes. Update iTunes on your computer to the latest version, then connect your iPod to your computer, open iTunes, if iTunes give you a pop-up asking if you want to update your iPod, decline. Then click on the name of your iPod in iTunes, go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases to transfer any purchased media to your iTunes library. Next, go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click on Back Up Now to back up your iPod on your computer.
When it's done backing up, click on Check for Update (or Update) on the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings. Allow your iPod to update, and leave it connected to your computer. At the end, it will restart and give you the option to restore to the iTunes backup you made earlier. Choose this option to restore your backup and sync your apps and other iTuens media to your phone.

Now the first question is, when you are saying connecting to personal hotspot, have you always been using the iPhone to connect to the internet? Are you someplace where the only place to connect is available via tethering to the iPhone's celluar network? Or do you have other options?

Easiest way is to transfer the photos to your computer. Then copy them to your ad card. You should be backing up all your photos on your computer anyway. Having them only on your iPad is asking for trouble should something happen to your iPad.

If you are having permission issues, then that would be with your operating system. If you are using linux, mac or xp I can help, but I'm not familiar with Vista or Win7. (sorry)
abhinavn94: have you tried a stable (non beta) version? Are you still having the same problem?
AmberL: what operating system are you using? I've seen threads about back button problems but haven't looked at them. Give them a look over. The solution for that might be the same for the bookmark problem. (generally, if back doesn't work, its because there is no previous page to go to in that particular tab for that session, but I'm sure there are quirks that could cause it not to work) If you are running Vista or Win7 the best I could suggest is to look into Control Panel or whatever it is called now and look for Users & Groups. There you should find something to adjust security or permission levels. You can play with that and see if that helps, but I'd wait for someone who is more knowledgeable about permissions on those OSes to chime in first if you aren't comfortable mucking around with it.

When I click on a tab in the toolbar the tab flies off the screen to the right. Suddenly after using firefox for years I cannot load any pages

I'm using Windows XP. I've used Firefox for years but in recent weeks I've had the following problem. When I endeavour to open an internet site the tab appears in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen instead of loading the page. When I click on the tab it appears to fly across the right of screen and disappears from view. Fortunately we've left an internet page OPEN so that we can redirect our search via that. Today we had a power cut and now I cannot get Firefox to load anything. At the moment I'm using Explorer to write this. We've made no changes to our system and we're continuing to use the same virus checker we're had for years. (Kaspersky)
One last point. When I try to load any site in Links the tab changes to the correct name but then flies off as I've previously mentioned. When I right click on the tab and choose Max or Min I have no reaction. I've tried rebooting the computer and turning it off but this does not fix the problem. Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Check out why the site is untrusted and click "Technical Details" to expand this section.
If the certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided (sec_error_unknown_issuer) then see if you can install this intermediate certificate from another source.
You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.
*Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"

Several sites will not respond any longer when I type or click on them. I have been using Firefox for years and all of a sudden, nothing.

I have been using Firefox for many years now and have been going to several sites on Firefox. Now, after an update around two days ago, I can't do anything with the sites. The cursor stays an arrow, and doesn't click anything. It's like a blank page with print on it.

I'd try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting-extensions-themes Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide ] and the [[Troubleshooting plugins]] article as well.

The support page is ridiculous, it assumes you already have Firefox and that the install went fine. I am having trouble with an update to Version 4. I have an ibook G4 running OS X. I have used Firefox for years. When I downloaded the update, the Firefox logo thing that you are supposed to drag to the Applications folder has a white circle with a line through it. I have rebooted many times and have updated all other software.
