I would also be certain that you get enough memory to keep nursing books. I remember the books my sister had in nursing school and they were very heavy in pictures and graphics... which means they will take up a lot of memory space. Be sure it can hold all your books.

Same here, I have Logic Studio 8 and wouldn't mind staying with that version, except that the installer won't run on my new Macbook Pro as PowerPC apps are no longer supported. That's the message I get in any case.
I use to run Logic on a 2006 Macbook Pro.
I guess that makes me a very unhappy Apple user! I've been using Logic from the Emagic days, bought every upgrade only to see Apple kill what used to be one of the best Pro Audio application. Imagine if they had done the same to Photoshop, there would be a lot of unhappy designers out there
Paying the full price for years to slowly see your daily app go down in price & efficiency until it's given away at $199 for semi pro users. Well, at least ProTools is stil alive & kicking so I guess that's the way forward now.

My wife is already in the foreign country and using the phone with a prepaid card from a local carrier.
Sprint said that the phones will be shut down once they deactivate our accounts.
What can or should we do ? Is there a way to get the phones to work overseas ?

Sprint is a CDMA carrier. You can't take a Sprint (or Verizon) iPhone to another carrier. The SIM slot can be unlocked for International travel, but that's it. Without Sprint service, it's an iPod. Nothing more.
For what it's worth, that is not what Verizon said when I asked them this very question. According to the Global Support Team, once the Verizon phone is unlocked, it will continue to be unlocked and will continue to work on GSM networks outside of the U.S. even if the Verizon service is discontinued. I have no way of testing this as I do not plan on discontinuing my Verizon service at any time in the near future. I realize this is not useful information for the OP but it might be of interest to someone. -
I would like to upload my music library from my PC to the Cloud through iTunes Match. I also will be purchasing a Mac in the near future and would like to download some of that music from iCloud to my Mac. Will I have compatability problems?

My iPod touch 4th gen. Won't charge with a enercell charger that I've used since December. It will only charge with the apple USB cord that came with it. And even the takes it about 6 sec. To realize its charging. Help me fix this?
Yes, I've been using it for months. And I can charge other devices with it. (my iPhone) but something weird just happened..... I kept on pluging it in the iPod and sometimes it would start to chàrge then sometimes it won't charge. Charges every time with the iPhone though.

I currently use Adobe Standard CS 5. It was bought with the Education discount. I would like to upgrade to Creative Cloud and see that they have special pricing for existing customers that use past versions of Creative Suite. I am no longer in Education, so I will have to buy a full version. This is fine, but it won't accept my serial number for the discounted pricing. Is there something else I should be doing?

I live in Japan but I would like to use my US credit card to make purchases in the US Store.
I had no problems with this previously, but I recently informed my US bank of my Japanese address and changed it (had to).
There is no way to input my Japanese address (so that it matches the bank information) in the fields for the US App Store (which has no foreign country fields, you are limited to having to fill in the US state field, flags me for phone number area code differences, etc.).
When I hit the change country button: A) It took me to the Japanese App Store; B) I could not use my US credit card there (despite my Japanese address).
Yes, I may want to make purchases in the Japanese App Store in the future (I am bilingual), but the selections are different depending on the country.
Now I can make purchases in neither country.

(The world should be getting smaller, more interconnected, and more convenient with the Internet --- not the opposite!)Well, I can certainly understand the licensing argument if I were using a Japanese credit card with a Japanse address and making a purchase with Japanese yen from the US Store from Japan.
When I am making a purchase with US card from the US store with US dollars, the argument becomes a bit suspect (I know it is Apple's, not your argument).
it is just kind of a paradoxical situation and I am hoping Apple will offer some sort of solution. We can always hoe, right?

I have had my iPad for 6 months. We recently had a power outage and my iPad was plugged in with the adapter that came with it. Since then I can not charge iPad with adapter, however I can charge it SLOWLY on my computer. Do you think the adapter got fried? Also do you HAVE to have iTunes with an iPad, they were charging me alot of fees for games I did not download NOR give my password to have them downloaded so I cancelled iTunes because fo too many fees. Could this have anyting to do with the battery not charging?

Well, something's definitely wrong if it won't charge from a wall outlet. Make an appointment at a Genius Bar or take it to an Apple certified repair provider.

Every time I start PS I get several quick command screen flash on and off (dos boxes). One of those boxes stays on (eok_lvalue_adjust) and I get the message clc.exe has stopped working. This happens again a few seconds later with the same message.
If anyone knows what clc.exe is and how to solve this issue I would be grateful for the solution.Update your video card driver from the GPU maker's website.
If you can't update for some reason, disable GPU drawing in preferences and restart Photoshop. -
Will Apple only void all warranties if it's jailbroken? Since mine is only unlocked, I was wondering if I'd be taken care of.
Anyone have experience w/ this?The camera problem is commonly a Hardware Problem covered by Warranty or AppleCare Coverage. I would take the iPhone to Apple for Warranty Coverage. If the Genius decides to replace your iPhone, you will get a like new replacement iPhone 4 in perfect condition. Apple will not repair the iPhone, you will get a completely new to you iPhone. If the Genius determines you are out of Warranty, then you go home with your iPhone same as it currently is.
