Your music will only be where you put it.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup cop of your computer.
Certainly you did not have our computer serviced without making sure your backup copy was up to date.

Able to log into Hotmail but unable to read emails

So basically, what's happening is that I'm able to log into my hotmail account and see the inbox and all, but I can't click on my emails to read them. It's really frustrating cos I've tried using Firefox and another computer, but neither works! Please help me I'm kind of desperate!

if you r desperate, get a gmail account and have it send and receive messages as your hotmail account. to anyone who you send an email to, it will seem like you are still using hotmail.

My iphone is disabled, it says plug into itunes, but it says to type in the passcode.. how do i fix this?

I cant plug it into my itunes because my laptop is being fixed.. but even if when it comes back all the data will be lost so if I restore my iphone everything will be lost because I have no backed it up with icloud. I need a way of fixing it without losing the data in my phone.. if there is one.

Have you just created the Apple ID? If so it's possible you may need to activate it after receiving an email? Have you checked for an activation email? I can't be sure if it does send one or not as did mine ages ago.

You do realize that the apps for the iPad cannot be used on the Mac, right? They are two different operating systems. iOS apps for iOS devices and Mac Apps for Macs.
You can only store iOS apps in the iTunes libraries on a Mac.

If you are trying to download apps over 20MB in size, you can't do it via 3G. You can download them via WiFi.
When you go to iTunes on your computer, from the menu at the top - go to Store>Check for available downloads.

I wish that had worked. I logged off from the setting on the mini and on my main computer. I got the same message that it cannot log into the store. I was able to log back in on my computer though.

I purchased a new Windows 8 PC and installed the latest version of iTunes. I can connect to the iTunes store but when I attempt to log in I receive the following error message "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.". I receive the same error message when I attempt to authorize the new computer. I have uninstalled iTunes completely according to the instructions from Apple support then reinstalled iTunes but I still have the same issue. I can connect to iTunes without issue on my other computers/iPad/iPhone on the same network. I ran diagnostics and it can connect without issue. I have also tried disabling my firewall and I still get the same error message. What can I do to resolve this issue? I can post the diagnostics report if you wish. OK, so my friend was able to log into iTunes on my computer so we know everything is working. I was able to log into iTunes on another computer just fine. So this looks to be an issue with me account on my laptop. What could cause this? Any suggestion are appreciated. Thanks.

Cannot log into iTunes account after reinstalling Vista

I just reinstalled Vista on my friends laptop, and now it wont let me log into iTunes. It just keeps saying that the network connection is down, and to check my settings. ANyone know what the problem is?

On the Netgear
The Access IP is normally 192.168.0.1 and the User ID is admin and the password is password when the pop down appears.
----Under SYSTEM PREFERENCES>NETWORK It shows Airport Connected to "Netgear 192.168.1.3" do not see User ID or password on the screen?
In the menu on the left the last (or near last item) is UPnP.
Check this is Enabled.

About two thirds of the way down the menu is WAN Set up
In hear Disable the Port Scan Line (It will read DOS (or SPI) and Port Scan)
There is another Line about "Blocking Responses to Ping on the WAN port" this needs to be Disabled as well (IChat sends a Ping to confirm where the Visible Invite went to is where the SIP stuff (In the Log about the error) is coming back from).
On the DNS info.
This should be two IP address normally that are on the Internet.
These should appear on the RCA if it is accessible in a web Browser but more likely on the Router's Set Up pages (or Some sort of Summary page).
A 192.168.x.x address points to the Router (I would guess in this case) and whilst some routes can be DNS servers as well it is not that common and is only really useful to link a MAC (Ethernet and/or WiFi Card - Media Access Card Address) info to a Name for the Computers that are attached.

If the Computer can do Wifi as well as Ethernet it should not have both Connected to the Router at the same time. (iChat "Sees" it as two Connections to the Internet).

Go to keychain access. Go to preferences. turn Online Certificate Status Protocol and Certificate Revocation List both to off.
You should now be able to log into iTunes.
The repairing of Keychain is a wasted step and has nothing to do with this issue. This is another issue.

You can remove just one saved User ID, Email Address, or Password on Firefox the same way you do it on IE.
Click on the form that you have your saved User ID, Email or Password for. Press the down arrow key to bring up the username for the form that corresponds to the password or ID or Email address you want to delete.
Highlight the username by pressing on the down arrow key again or just highlight what you want deleted and then press the "DEL" or "DELETE" button on your computer.
This should remove the one you want to delete.
I did this with a User ID on Firefox that I had accidentally spelled wrong. It works.

If you are trying to download large apps over 3G on your iPad then there is 20 meg limit. In terms of iTunes on your computer try either Store > Check For Available Downloads or just (re-)download it from the store : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 and then sync it to your iPad.

I'm currently using Wifi with my 3rd gen iPad. iOS 6.0.1. I'm not home so I don't have access to my iMac (actually currently at 30k ft somewhere over Virginia :) ).
Anyway, I can log into iTunes, access the App Store, sign out of those, log back in. No prob. I used my appleID and pass to write this message. But I cannot get into Imessage, and I can't figure it out!
I get an error saying: "could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again." If I try to make a new appleID, imessage thinks and thinks...nothing happens.
This isn't a new issue, it's been like this for quite a while, since upgrading to iOS 6 months ago. How can I get into imessage on my ipad? For what it's worth, it works fine on my iPhone.
