I am about to give-up !

Question

I've been working on this since 1 AM... So i've been trying
for more than 12 hours now !!!!
I "JUST" need to create a "valid" horizontal navigation
bar... (i.e. Valid = that shows active buttons when corresponding
page are active)
I tryed the regular navigation bar, the spry one.... nothing
works.
Can someone point me to a tutorial or help page where i can
finally learn how to do this ??????

P.S. I would like that navigation bar to be placed in the
Template file and not copied in each html pages. (I have a lot of
them)
Also, i would like images and not text items for the buttons
themselves.....

There are a number of manual ways to do this, each requiring
manual
addition of ids to each menu item in the Template, and then
either
adding a special id to each Child page's body tag or a unique
css style
block to each Child's head.
Since you said you have a lot of pages, you might prefer a
quick and
easy solution - my divaGPS DW Extension. Within minutes you
can have
all your page's current menu item highlight automatically.
If your menus are one level deep then you could possibly also
use
divaGPSfree. If there are submenus then you'd need divaGPS to
use its
Parent highlighting option. You may contact me offlist to
discuss how
your site's folders/files are organized to see if this will
work for you.

Best to that with css background images rather than trying to
using
image tags.
