I am absolutely confused re folders!
I just bought PSE8. I have spent a very long time searching the web and still have no idea of what I should be doing.
I wanted to import (could not find the 'import' on PSE8) my 'folders' from Vista Pictures. I have spent many years organising over 20,000 pics into these folders. I finally just went to File' >Get Photos > From Files and Folders. Now my pics are there, but mixed up........and no folders.
I found the following and thought that would work. I went to >Edit > Preferences > Folder Location View > .......I tried both buttons, but nothing happened.
''If you have a system of folders on your computer that you want to continue using for organizational purposes, you can use the Elements Organizer’s Folder Location view to view your files as they appear on your hard disk. From the Folder Location view, you can also instantly tag your images with their folder names.''
I like the way I have them organized! How can I display them in PSE8 that way. Please remember there are a lot of pics and I do not want to go through days worth of work to tag them just yet. I can do that as I go along, I just want to access them now as I have them.
If I don't use Organizer, than how do I use PSE8? Do I just move one picture at a time into it to edit? If so, does windows sync with PSE8 so my changes will be saved to it?

Yes, you use Editor. You open one or multiple files into the Editor. When you save your changes in the PSE Editor, Windows knows about these changes.
The primary value of using Organizer, in my opinion, is that it gives you better tools than Windows for organizing. Specifically ... a photo can be at most one folder. However, a photo in Organizer can have as many tags as you want it to have. Thus, you can better describe a photo with tags than you can using folders. And this leads to a greatly enhanced ability to search for photos. When I want to see the photo that contains the Winery in the Finger Lakes surrounded by beautiful fall foliage, I don't have to remember what folder it is in. I need to select tags "Winery", "Finger Lakes" and usually that's enough for me to quickly locate the photo. I could also select the tag "Fall Foliage", if I wanted to. Another area where tags are superior to folders is that searching for a specific tag allow you to search across all of your folders. If I want to see all my pictures of Churches, I click on the Church tag and there are all of my church photos, regardless of what folder they are in.
These are just a few of the organizing advantages in Organizer compared to using folders.
Although others have pointed out details about Folder Location View in Organizer, I still don't think you will derive any value from Organizer unless you use its other features. If you simply use Organizer as a replacement for browsing in Windows, I think you are (to be blunt) wasting your time.

Multilevel Categories Dropdown - Absolutely Confusing development by SAP
Dear Friends,
On service request page, we have Multilevel categories ( multilevel from category modeler ) in DropDowns.
Now the Value -Key pair for the dropdown should have been CODE and CODETEXT from the Subject-Configurations.
But, for Categories , this is Code text is the subject code text but the KEY is some GUID.
Earlier in CRM2007, we used to have BTSUBJECT and related things to handle the SUBJECT and Reason codes but from CRM7.0 , this Category Modeler new things is introduced.
I dont understand why SAP has made it so much complecated.
Now my requirement is when a perticular category is selected, i need to show some messages to the IC AGENT, but now as the KEY is some GUID, i am unable to find what category is selected in the dropdown.
For example, say when category selected in 1st dropdown is - Emergency Maintainace , display message
" High Alert : Advice customer to call manager" ,
Technically "Emergency Maintaince" is stored in system as KATLOGART - ZM, CODEPROFILE -ZM1 , CODE -Z508 , CODETEXT- "Emergency Maintainace" ( table - QPCT),
but on WEB UI in Category Dropdown, for every text, they are assigning some GUID...this is insane !! because, if for code-text SAP would have maintianed codes only , like for dropdown DDLB-key = Z508 , DDLB-Value = "Emergency Maintainance" then i could have easily put my code as IF ddlb-key = 'Z508' . """"""DO SOMETHING""""""" . but now since SAP is maintaining it as DDLB - KEY = '4BF0414ED9D93D0FE10000000AF03717' (ie some guid) & ddlb-value= 'Emergency Maintaince' , I am unable to compare and put my code which is dependant on category selection .
Does anybody know , how can i retrieve the subject code (Z in thsi example) from this guid ? How how can i find what category is selected at runtime ?

you are right - this use of the GUID is in this case not needed and confusing.
In our company we had the requirement to prefill the category with a default value.
For this we set the GUID in UI development - so we work with the GUID in coding. As we import our categorization schema from development to production the GUID is the same in all systems.

Forgive my ignorance of solaris and Unix, I'm still new.
I complete the setup process for Solaris 8 7/01. I installed it on c0d0 on my ancient P100 with 96M ram. Worked fine for a while, corrupted it. Reinstalled it to c0d0, boot screens come up looking at the proper devices through the device configuration screens.
This is where I get lost, I'm assuming that the mini root boots up and mounts all of the slices during the boot process. I get several errors telling me things such as /dev/c1d0s6 or /usr cannot be found in response to the mounting process. Yes I got the correct controller number on this error.
Why is c1 being listed as the mount where I assigned this? The default boot disk during setup was the hard drive located at c0 and I booted to c1 (the cd) for the install.
I can reinitiate the process of the installation, while in the installation I can verify that the slices mount to the correct device. Where (and how) can I go back into the configuration and tweak the mnttab (or what ever configuration file) to assign the correct controller?I found it. I don't understand it, but I found it. I screwed up my original diskette that came with my 7/01 release after a couple of successful installs, so I downloaded the diskette from this website. During the install process though, I discoved that not just the boot disk, but both disks if I use two disks are reversed in the vfstab file. So before I reboot in the install I have to vi it to change all mount points and slices. Rather interesting but not impossible to work with. Anybody seen anything like this before? Is there something I can change on the diskette to change this behavior?

Absolute confusion....MSI K8MM-V Keyboard issues?
Okay so here's the setup...really basic...
PSU: 300W ATX Power supply
CPU: AMD Sempron 64 2600+ (socket 754)
Memory: 512mb PNY "Optima" PC3200 (DDR400)
Mobo: MSI K8MM-V
Biosrev: W7142VMS V 1.8 011806
Keyboard: Everyday run-of-the-mill PS/2 Keyboard that has been confirmed to work on another system, and that has been plugged in PROPERLY in the purple PS/2 Port of the mobo
The problem:
"Keyboard error or no keyboard present"
What in the world is going on? I thought initially that maybe I got a bad motherboard...but I went out and bought another one of the exact same mobo and lo-and-behold I'm having the exact same issue! The keyboard is plugged in just fine and it's not even getting powered up (the lights don't turn on). I tried using another confirmed-working keyboard (the one I'm typing on now) and still no dice!
I'm beginning to wonder if there is some sort of hardware incompatibility or something? The funny thing is, the error message sometimes interjects itself within the text of the IDE detection.
I hope someone can provide some insight on something here. Thanks in advance.Yea, I don't think it's the mobo either...but I'm kind of lost as to what it could be.
I've tried many different keyboards and I'm having the same problem...
The setup I'm using is totally barebones as well...
And yes, I tried a more powerful PSU and I had the same problem again.
I'm going to try out a different brand of mobo...if I have the same problem once more then I know it's some other piece of hardware. Otherwise maybe it's just my poor luck.
My only other guess is that I'm using DDR400 RAM that isn't listed as compatible on the MSI website... I don't see why this is a big deal because DDR400 is DDR400 so we'll see.

Can I delete menu options such as Zencast and TV from my Zen?
I never installed the software, I copy and delete files from Windows 7 My Computer.
The TV and Zencast folders are write protected.....how do I delete them, I don't use them, don't plan to use them, just want to remove the clutter from the menu.

I know accounts cannot be merged. The @gmail account has existed for years before the @me account.
I haven't been able to set up my phone yet because I have absolutely no idea how this will affect me, when it was quite clear before.
How will this affect me in the future? What about when my @me service expires (I had just under a free year left)? What email should I link? What should I be worried about if kept separate or the same as they are now?
I still don't even understand what exactly iCloud does yet. If I set up my phone with whatever my iCloud account is, is it locked in? Since no credit card info or applications or purchases are associated with it, it will be of no use in that area.
I am absolutely confused on what I should do, and after spending 4 hours attempting to update my phone, am still stuck on having a useable device.This point I don't quite understand. It is clear that:
1) your additional 20gb are available only up to next summer
2) the migrated account will be downgraded to a free account then.
3) the purchased music and apps do NOT count in the 5 gb.
So, I don't know what you need the 20 gb in the "unused AppStore account" for. Your documents and emails are all on the 25 gb account.
I think, you can log into your non-me.com AppleID and change your e-mail address there without loosing what you purchased. So, I wonder what would happen if I put the me.com address there...

Regarding the me.com AppleID, you should make sure you have a secondary email account added there, otherwise it might be difficult to recover that account in case you cannot read the me.com email anymore. Interestingly, when I tried to put my non-me.com address there, it complained about that email already used by a different account. So, I guess if you try to put your gmail account there it will complain. So, you probably need a third independant email account.... -

this can be due to my incapability to work with technology but my Skype To Go does 'weird' things: i got it registred on my Finnish number (which is one of the countries you can use STG to call) and got Skype numbers to call different people (that i put in the numbers of on the website, to activate).
When i call one of the Skype numbers i got by text, this goes to the UK, i either don't get a tune and get cut off immidiatly.. Or it keeps on ringing with echo for ages (the person i'm calling does NOT receive any missed calls).. Or i got the option to go to my voicemail but that's from my Dutch number which has nothing to do with any of the above?! STG isn't even available in the Netherlands.
I got charged for all the calls i tried to make while none of them came through. I'm very dissapointed seeing as now in Finland i could finally use STG! Please, please help me out. Why do the numbers Skype gave me not work?

Times and dates.. (I tried MANY times!)
I change my Dutch and Finnish chip from time to time so unfortunately I cannot see data from past calls. I got STG the 10th in the evening (at about 21.30) and tried calling the English number after several times. Also the Dutch number but only twice / three times. She got missed calls a day later with different times than to when I actually called. The 11th that Voicemail stuff happened and I tried calling the English number again. None of my calles came through as he has 0 missed calls. Yesterday (13th) I called the English again but the number on my account this time instead of the one I received by text.
I'm absolutely confused, the calls on my Skype account don't match the calls I made, not even close to it!

First off I have a 3tb fusion drive.
I created a 200gb bootcamp, I tried deleting the bootcamp because I thought I messed it up and googled how to delete a mac partition which told me to use Disk Utility, did that and then erased it and somehow it got locked and wouldn't let me do anything to any partition on my hard drive (everything was greyed out)
After looking up and googling for hours I found a post saying the only way to fix it would be to go into CMD+R and go into the terminal window and type out disklist and then find the first UUID number and do something along the lines of disklist delete (UUID) i forget the exact formula. I did this, and then I had 3 separate untitled hard drives.
One in the size of 1.9gb on in 800gb and one in 121.3gb (which is the SSD), I put my time machine backup onto the 1.9gb untitled and now my computer is booting slowly (because it's no longer running off of the SSD and the original bootcamp is still there.
To be honest I am absolutely confused on what else to do!
Is there anyway I can fix this?How do I go about deleting and then re-adding the hard drives? Completely lost on how to make it back to being a 3gb fusion drive.

So Close...Can Almost Taste It
I'm so close, but this last bit has me absolutely confused...
For those just tuning in, I'm trying to set up a podcast using Garageband3 and iWeb.
I created a podcast in Garageband3, sent it to iTunes and converted it to an .mp3. Then I created a podcast page in my iWeb application and dragged the file from my media window into the open space. Then I published to a folder and used my FTP client, Fetch, to upload to godaddy.com and the internet.
So, I've finally gotten everything set up with .mp3 files and set up the website right. In fact, the podcast plays directly from the website (www.andrewhollinger.com) just fine.
When I test my feed with iTunes by trying to subscribe to my podcast using the Advanced menu, I enter the URL: http://www.andrewhollinger.com/Podcast/rss.xml
The name of the podcast, and the title of the individual episode appear. But when I try to "Get Episode" I get this error message:
<<There was a problem downloading "Podcast Test".
The URL "http://www.andrewhollinger.com/Hollinger/Podcast/3989A67E-AE86-4FAE-8F5D-1C667 67E0021files/podcasttest.mp3." could not be found on the server.>>
I tried using Feedburner and got the same result. How can it work fine online, but the file not be there? How do I fix this so I can finally get my podcast up and running?
I also ran www.andrewhollinger/Podcast/rss.xml in that Feedvalidator, and it said it was a valid RSS feed, but there might be some problems with iTunes. But I don't know how to fix those. Is there a way to open up the source code in iWeb to copy and paste a working code?

Also, I'm new to the podcasting thing, so I'll need a little help with step-by-step and vocabulary...I guess I kind of understand that.
But I made the website with iWeb, so I can't imagine where the issue is.
In my iWeb, I have the name of my site, "Hollinger" and then under that about 8 pages. My podcast page is the only one that has sub-pages.
This is getting so frustrating, because I don't know how to improve on it.
Do you know, maybe, of another website that will host podcasts (preferably for free) where I can upload the .mp3 there and tell iTunes THAT URL. Maybe that would just be easier. (I think maybe Blogger-.blogspot-does it, but I don't have any experience with that.)

Lack of useful components for application developer :-(
I want to share some remarks about our rewrite old Windows application to new AIR/flex application.
If any Adobe staff will reading this it will be great :-)
For colorfull web application with exotic buttons is Flex undoubtedly great choice.
But there is many developers (and firms like us) who looking for something little different.
We got bunch of Windows application written in Delphi. And we want (must) to move to another technology.
AIR is superior in language, runtime, simple move-to-web, blazeDS, tools and ecosystem growth is promising.
The only bad thing about Flex/AIR is UI. Yes, you hear right. UI is our biggest show-killer. And I am afraid that even with spark it will not be better.
We wrote application not coloring-book.
So we want only basic but state-of-the-art UI-standard componnets.
ToolBar, CoolBar, Button with three states, Button with icon and auto-disabled-grayed-icon, etc..
1) I found on the web three technique how to add icon on the spark button. Two of them include skinning. Absolutly confusing!
2) No useful CoolBar. How long it takes make CoolBar like in Adobe Acrobat Reader or MS Word in my application? This is matters for me!
I dont want two or three full-time developers extra for making basic components for us.
In this point Silverlight got 100% lead. No doubt.

Help understanding what I have in my New GT70 and what can I do with it.
In the last few days I received my new gt70 from amazon. I must say I love it. Absolutely. I plan on building a supercomputer one day, but this laptop more than sufficed my immediate needs and I can save some money for a year or so. Anyways, I bought the second most expensive one right under the dragon edition bc quite frankly im not a huge lover of the color red or dragons.. (I did when I was much younger) However i went with the second most expensive bc its all black and seems to have enough on it to keep me happy.
Problem is that I really like the SSD's mine came with the 2 in raid 0 for a total of 256gb. Then I have this 1tb HDD. Now for the related questions. Can I replace the HDD with a huge SSD? That would kick ass. Also, could I or is there another slot for a 3rd SSD? What do the 2 128's look like? I want to do this without needing to remove the existing SSD's bc Im not that savvy on how to do it all. Maybe I can bring it somewhere. Im in the New Orleans area. As a side note/question. Of my 256gb a ton of space was used when I got the thing, (before adding anything) I understand startup programs and all.. and the SSD's are C: drive.. the 1TB D; HDD is missing 100gb and when u open the drive there are absolutely ZERO file folders in there.. Is everything really on my SSD's ? Whats preloaded on my HDD to take away 100gb and wheres the files?
Bottom Line I want more SSD. Money isnt a big deal.

Im pretty much cool with everything else. I have the 780m (i think is the best available at the moment) and the best cpu from MSI.. MAJOR QUESTION!!!>.... I cannot understand why this is happening to me, but I play games on steam. I tried downloading a game overnight last night and when I came down my computer was off. I rebooted it up and took a shower came back down and it was off again.. All the settings in the power management are set to NEVER shutdown or sleep. Im not running hot, as I had my fan on, AC on 60, Fan in the room on, and a fan pad thing under it on. I didnt downgrade to windows 7 yet, and my not, and this is a legal copy of course.. Unless im running a benchmark or playing a serious game i idle, surf the web, and download, around 30-40 Degrees Celsius. It still shuts down though. Ill let it run again and see it the problem persists and let you know. -
Feedback on Adobe's Term of Use Policy
Have you ever read the terms of use that you agree with when you install or download something? I'm one of those people who actually go ahead and reads the Terms of Conditions, or Terms of Use before signing anything. Not that it ever matters in most cases, I need the service that I was about to install anyway, but I always like to know what I agree with before I use it. And I’ve been doing it for years with all services that I use.
I'm a Dutch designer and I use Photoshop, Bridge, Illustrator, Reader X, Flash, Flash Player and Premiere. And after the last time I checked the Terms of Use for the Flash Player I feel I had to contact Adobe and give them some much needed feedback. However, if you wish to know the actual feedback you have to read and agree with the Conditions below… No just kidding, let me start off with a short summary.
Short sumary
If you want everyone to use your products please cater your services as simple as possible. That means that you should communicate your service in such a fashion that even those who have little to no experience with legal practices can read your legal documents and understand them.
This requires that you do the following every time you want a user to agree with your Terms of Use:
Directly link the user to the right document that they have to agree on, if they have to agree to several documents offer them several links and specifically state that the user agrees with all these documents at the same time.
List all possible languages that your service communicates with in the same document, that way you are always sure that, no matter what, everyone that you cater your services too can read your legal documents.
Start every Terms of Use document with a Table of Contents that lists all languages that you communicate in so that the user can easily find to the right language and the right page it is on.
Start every Language chapter with a title saying what language it is and then provide a table of contents that lists all the sections of the document so that all sections of the document are easilly navigatable.
Provide a short summary of the entire Terms of Use so that everyone knows what the document will be about and that even laymen who have no experience in reading contracts kan know what they agree with. (Albeit, be it in short terms.)
Provide a way that your user can contact you or your legal department in case your documents contain spelling errors, or in case the reader has questions about the document or the service that is attached to it.
And finally, if you insist on sending your users to one central website that lists all your documents, provide a “frequently used documents” section at the top of your website so that your most populair services can be found directly when needed.
So why do I say these things and why do I think Adobe needs to change his current policy? Let me tell you my full report using the example of Flash Player 12.0.
Product licenses and terms of use Website
In my experience Adobe is the absolute king of terrible terms and conditions. Now don’t get me wrong, this isn’t because their Terms are terrible or evil or anything. It’s just because most modern people have at least two Adobe products on their computer at all time and you'd expect Adobe to take a little responsibility because of this. I'm talking about the Flash Player, for YouTube use , and the Adobe Reader, for reading .PDF files. Adobe's products have regular updates that requiring you to accept the terms and conditions every time. So this is rather annoying if you actually read these terms and call me crazy because I always do.
Allow me to congratulate you if you ever clicked the link that you get when you have to agree with the Terms of Use. My guess is that hardly no-one ever does or obviously no complaint has ever reached Adobe, because the link that it provides is absolutely confusing. It links to this website, http://www.adobe.com/legal/licenses-terms.html and it’s a horror to behold, considering you only want to read the Terms and Coditions of this one service that you really want to use.
To many scaterred documents
If you’ve never seen it, the Terms and Conditions website is a large list of .PDF files that you can only access if you have an active internet connection. Now, note how all these files I'm talking about are .PDFs. Meaning that anyone who wants to read the terms and conditions of the Adobe Reader - before opening a .PDF someone sent him - probably has to already own a functional .PDF reader in order to read the terms and conditions. Be it madness, irony or a false assumption, I don’t know, but it’s a funny thought to start off on this website.
Can't find the right content
Well, there's that. But imagine you are like me and you want to update your Flash player to the new 12.0 version. You click the Terms of Use link before you tick the "Yes I agree box". You go to the website and then you look at this enormous list of documents. And you realise that there is not just one document that you have to read. You quickly spy there are several documents called “Flash” and only one of them is probably the one called "Flash Player version 12.0". But don’t forget the very important “General Terms of Use” of course. Because next to your Flash Player license you also accept Adobe's General Terms of Use. Now nobody tells you that you have to do this, nor is it written on the website itself, you just have to assume this. Because if you ever actually read a Software Terms of Use document before you know that most of them require you to also accept the General Terms of Use.
General Terms of Use may aply
The General Terms is the first document on the website, so that isn't that hard to find.

And on February the 17th, in 2014 this link downloads a English-only Terms of Use .PDF document that was last updated on October 16, 2012. That's right, it's two years old and English only, so it was written before the United States presidential elections of 2012. Oh and good luck to those abroad co-workers who really like to know what they have to agree with in order to read that necessary .PDF you just sent them.
But all silliness aside, download it, you open it and you read it and it's an OK terms of use document. Disappointingly enough there is no short summary at the start, so be ready to read all of it. And I mean be ready because this document takes about ten to fifteen minutes to read.
Not easilly accessable
Now, back to the main website, and directly notice how it doesn't provide Adobe’s most used Terms of Use documents at the top of this website. Instead one actually has to look up the specific document at the list of licenses below the General Terms of Use. And let me tell you that that is a long list on the main page, so better be smart enough to pop-up the search function or else you'll be straining your eyes to find what you're looking for.
I looked for the words "Flash Player" and this search function got me six different results called "Flash Player". The first one is hidden under the "downloads" tab of the website - you'll never see it unless you put a little effort into it - a third hit is the same as the second hit and the last hit is the same as the first hit but this time it's a "Download" tab at the bottom of the Website.
But the first interesting hit is found under the title "Services" and is listed as "Adobe Premium Features for Flash Player", which surprisingly enough links you to an actual website instead of a .PDF file.

This takes about seven to ten minutes to read and it's another fairly standard Terms of Use document. Again with no summary at the start of the document and again only in English, and also it probably isn’t necessary to read unless you got the Premium version of Flash Player.
Terrible to navigate
The third hit for "Flash Player" is a link just called "Flash Player", in this case listed under “Software Products” and it notes to be version "12". This is probably the most important document for anyone agreeing with the Terms of Use for their new Flash Player. Clicking the link downloads the following PDF file:

And if you don't open it in Internet Explore or in Chrome browser, but, let's say for instance in Firefox or just download the document and open it on your desktop, you start at the absolute top of the document. Which is in some form of Arabic... And there is no Table of Content to help you out... And the entire document is enormous and in different languages... And the search term "Nederlands" - that's how Dutch people call their own language, and me being Dutch I’d like to start there - doesn't give any results. Where the search term "English" however has just two results, both in the same sentence of rule no.12 of the English version of the Terms of Use. And not at the top of the actual English language version...
This is again a fairly standard Terms of Use, but this time there is allot of "you can't use this product under these conditions" language used. Reading this document takes about seven to ten minutes and it also doesn't come with a summary at the start.
But search a word in your preferred langauge, scroll to the start of the chapter, read it, agree with it in your mind and go back to the main website because there is still one more hit under the search term "Flash Player".
To many documents with the same name
The last actual document that is linked is listed under the title "Mobile, runtime, and touch app products" and links to "Adobe Flash Player". Implying that there is a difference between Adobe Flash Player and just Flash Player. And also could start off a lot of confusion if I searched "Adobe Flash Player", instead of just "Flash Player". So this document isn't of any interest to you if you were looking for your Flash Player 12.0 update Terms of Use. But if you happen to open it, prepare yourself for the same problem as the last document. Because it also starts in Arabic, has no table of contents, it gives 4 results of the search term of English in the middle of the English language chapter and again no results for the term “Nederlands”. This document takes about seven to ten minutes to read as well.
No form of contact
All in all adding the time it takes me to find and read and agree to ALL documents that are somehow linked to the Flash Player Terms of Use it would costs the average person about an hour to find and read everything. And to me this is allot of effort to know what the hell you are agreeing with when you just want to tick that little box you had presented about an hour ago. And every time my Flash Player, or Acrobat Reader or support tool for one of my Adobe designer Software asks for a update I have to go through this time after time after time again. And I’m assuming that no-one ever does this because else any sensible company would put some effort into changing it.
So that’s why I have decided to write this three page long document and emailed it to Adobe. Since I figured someone has to be the first. But that is until you discover that Adobe doesn’t have a Customers support email address. Everything that they do that involves Support is directed to their Adobe Community Forums. For which I need a account to access and post to, for which I need to comply with another set of Terms of Use, (10 - 15 minutes of read)

And with their “Privacy Policy”, a link that directs you to a preselected language website and offers you another seven to ten minutes of reading material.
Postface
In conclusion I’m going to make a final bold assumption here. Because no-one ever bothers to read the Terms of Use, Adobe couldn't be bothered to make these contracts presentable in a user friendly fashion. Instead whenever you want to download a new update, Adobe just offers a link to the main Terms of Use website and hope you just tick the damn “I Agree” box already. And that is just an absolute disgrace for your company’s legal face, especially for a company like Adobe that frequently presents large and serieus Terms of Use Documents to it’s user base and demands them to agree or get out.I'm not being a smart alec, but... have you ever had a lengthy conversation with an copyright attorney... about what they do?
I know two personally. One because we went to school together decades ago, and the other because he is on retainer for a client of mine.
What you see in the terms of use (End User License Agreement) IS the revised version... I've never seen the FULL thing, but I'd assume it could hold it's own with the Affordable Care Act, in three areas:
1. The overall number of pages.... necessary or unnecessary.
2. The amount of sense it would make to the average person.
3. The number of people in the world who have actually read it.
I've read nearly all of the license agreements for every product I own from Adobe. Mostly because I have to answer questions about things like Norton, McAfee and Google Chrome being bundled and people say they never agreed to it... Well, by installing anything downloaded from here... they did.
BTW. You can'T install ANY legal, legitimate software from ANY company at all without agreeing to terms of use.
Here's where I will be a smart alec... If you have a problem with that... then you need to stop using computers immediately and permanently, or you're going to have a stroke from the self inflicted stress. -
Two trim selections in source monitor time ruler. (Premiere Pro CC2014)
I'm really confused by this apparent new feature, or glitch, in PP. I'm working on an old project that has been upgraded from CS6 through CC, and now to CC2014. Several of my clips have shifted to a different point in the source media, so the clip is still the same length on the timeline but contains a completely different part of the footage. When I double-click the clip in the time line to open it in the source monitor I get two trims on the time ruler like this:
I am absolutely confused by this, I've never seen it before. More importantly I don't seem to be able to relocate either of them independently to get the correct section of the footage into my cut, and I can't seem to delete one of them.
Is this something that's been caused by the upgrade, or is it a changed setting/preference in CC 2014. I haven't had this problem in any other project prior to installing 2014 earlier this week and now I'm hesitant to open any other projects in case it makes a mess of them too!The blue part is the video the green part the audio (this has been always been in Premiere)
If you check Linked Selection (next to the wrench) it probably will 'merge" when you double click on it. -
Issue with iPad air trade in promotion.

I aruged briefly with her but she insisted that was how it works because the promotion can only guarantee a minimum trade in value of $200 and since my iPad 4 has a trade in value of $246, it will not be considered as an eligible tablet. I have to say I’m rather bummed that I don’t have an older iPad model to trade in. With the gift card and coupon provided with this offer, you could potentially get a new iPad Air or mini at half price (or close to it)! I’m disappointed to hear that our Rego Park location wasn’t quite up to speed with the promotion though, leaving you absolutely confused and without a cool new iPad. According to our Trade in and Trade up promotion, you should have received either a $175.00 or $200.00 gift card for your trade in. Because your iPad 4 was worth more than those amounts, you were correctly offered more than the guaranteed minimum. This shouldn’t have disqualified you from receiving the coupon though. As long as you were intending to purchase the item listed on the coupon, it should have been provided with your trade-in receipt.

My mac got too slow within certain minutes

I've got a huge problem with my iMac: -
iMac from 2012
8GB Ram
3,4 GHz i7 Quadcore
1 TB hard disk
AMD HD 6970M 2GB
- within only minutes, my mac got unbelievable slow. Way too slow.
Certain examples:
My mac isn't able to show the clock on the dashboard fluently, that means, the second hand does two steps, and then the mac stops for 10-15 seconds. The again two steps, then it stops again..
My mac is useless. After every click with the mouse, the colored circle comes up, and I have to wait for 10-15 seconds.
I didn't change anything when this problem comes up. On the harddisk is more than 25% free space.
I am absolutely confused and frustrated.
I should tell you, that my windows partition on the Mac hard disc works without any problems, so actually the problem cannot be any hardware issues... I think..
Please, Please help me, I need my mac.

TimLaunch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
