however, if you're using firefox on your laptop and your android device as well, you can easily sync your stored passwords and other useful data like bookmarks and history across those devices.

I got a new ipad2 for Christmas and I am unable to get it to accept my password for my wifi. I am using the same password that I have always used for all of my other devices. Can somebody help me????

I had the same trouble today, I kept entering the sky password but would not accept, my iMac and iPod work ok but just could not get my iPod to work. But I found the fault, the password is case sensitive and mine on sky is in caps, the up arrows on the keypad put the caps on,but after each letter you must put the caps back or it wil revert to lower case, I hope this may help you -

Rebooting your iDevice
Hold down the Sleep (On-Off) and Home buttons together for about 10-15 seconds or until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears - then let go of the buttons. The device should begin to start up.
Now try entering the information again. See if it works now. -
I have an Ipad1 and an Ipad2. The Ipad1 cannot connect to my wifi and indicates the password is incorrect even though I am using the same password for the Ipad2??
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

It sounds like you are not able to join your Wi-Fi network with the correct password on 1 out of many devices. I recommend the troubleshooting from the article named:

Restart your iOS device.
Update your device to the latest version of software.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware2. For AirPort Base Stations, install updates using the AirPort Utility.
If that troubleshooting does not resolve the issue, I would next try these steps from further down the article:
Unable to connect to a Wi-Fi network
Verify that you're attempting to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Make sure you're entering your Wi-Fi password correctly. Passwords may be case sensitive and may contain numbers or special characters.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including:
previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords
recently used Bluetooth accessories

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

When yu try to update an app, look at the Apple/iTunes ID email address above th location where you enter the password. It sounds like the you have apps on your iPod that were purchased with more than one iTunes account. Yu hav to besigned inot the account that pruchased them to update them. If more than one app needs updating and they eere purchased from different accounts yu can't use the Update All. You have to update them individually until the remain apps were purchased from one account.

I was on the phone for almost 2 hrs. yesterday because I had so many passwords I couldn't remember the one I used for itunes. The fellow helped me get it all straightened out but it still wouldn't let me get in because I couldn't remember the questions and answers. He was going to take care of it at that end and told me to wait 24 hours. So I'm at it again. I got into itunes but when I try to retrieve my previous apps,it wants me to put my password for that as well and then I'm in the situation with it not accepting my password so when I try to change my password it then wants me to answer the question and answer so now I'm thinking I have more than a seizure disorder and it's driving me to the point of no patience. Can you help?

Its really absurd to even ask this in light of the information that you have been given already. The "old fashioned" way is gone. It's Apple's store, Apples's rules and IMO - its a wise decision on Apple's part.
You do not have to comply at all, but you will not be able to purchase from iTunes anymore, but nobody is going to force you to do something that you do not want to do. -
I have no problem getting on the internet on my macbook but when I try the same network with the same password on my imac it says that the password is invalid. We have tried resetting the router. Resetting the PRAM, resetting the network to default settings. It happened yesterday and I haven't been able to figure anything out. Please help.
Try resetting your login keychain in keychain access. sounds like a keychain issue to me

My wireless router in my home has failed. I purchased a new router, but it will not allow some of the characters which I used for my old password. Therefore I cannot access the internet with my ipad mini or my ipod touch. I am unable to change the password on either device. Just set up iTunes for windows but when I try to sync my iPhone to it this is what it says, I have another iTunes library on my power book. It than asks if I want to erase this iPhone and sync with this iTunes library. I used the same password on this windows pc system same log on etc..I don't have anything loaded on it. All I want is for the info that's on the power book in iTunes and my iPhone to snyc/update etc on the windows pc. How do I do this? My power book is dead to the world.
