I am asked to reduce my iCloud storage even though I don't have iCloud
Hi,
I received several emails saying I am above the storage limit and I have to reduce the space. However I am using OS 10.5.8 and it does not have iCloud. I took both my iPhone 3GS and 5 to an Apple retailer, and the assistant said that I am below the storage limit in both phones.
So I am really not sure what to do or what to delete in order for my email to keep working.
Please help.
If you used to subscribe to MobileMe, then here's what's happening...
A year ago you received an email from Apple, saying that in addition to the free 5GB of the new icloud service, you would be getting an extra free 20 GB for one year. That year ends on Sept. 30. After which your account drops back down to 5GB unless you buy more storage (the free storage you've been getting is about to go away and if you need it, you'll have to pay).
You should have gotten emails from Apple recently telling you that you are currently using more than the initial free 5GB (but under the total 25 GB). But when Sept 30 arrives you will be in a situation where your total usage is more than the amount that will be allowed for your account.

If None is not available - On your computer launch iTunes and click "iTunes Store" in the left navigation pane. Click the "down arrow" next to your name at the top right side of the page and click "Account." Enter your username and password and click "View Account" to log into your account information. Next to your Payment Type, click "Edit." Select the "None" button and click "Done." Confirm that your card has been removed by returning to the Apple account information screen. Under Payment Type, it should say that there is no credit card on file.

hello. i am having hard time with my iphone 4s. actually, i did set my passcode using the tamil keyboard. my passcode was 'ka' and 'lai'. there's no such alphabet in the keyboard. in order to get "lai" we've to tap "la" and "i". so, it will transform into "lai". i did this in my settings. and when i locked the phone and tapped the word "ka', "la" and "i', this time the two alphabets are not transforming into "lai". it keep remains as two different alphabets. so, i couldn't unlock my iphone 4s. then, i decided to factory reset it via itunes. but, there's a problem again. when i tapped the restore button it is asking me to update iphone software even though it is up to date. and yet when i clicked the download button, it will start the downloading process but after sometime there will be an error in downloading. so, until now i couldn't unlock my iphone. i hope there will a reply as soon as possible.

My iphone asked if I wanted to update and I hit yes. It said to plug into ITunes so I did. My only option is to "restore". It didn't ask if I want to backup first. I don't have service on phone and I don't want to restore. How can I go back to "not" restoring?

A bug with your phone carrier both of those are carrier features, contact your cell phone provider.

If you ever synced your phone with iTunes, you can find your serial number by doing the following:
Launch iTunes on your computer.
Hold down your Control key, then on the menu bar in iTunes click iTunes>About iTunes (Mac) or Help>About iTunes (PC).
Any previously synced devices will scroll in a pop-up window; press the space bar to stop scrolling so you can write down the serial number. -

Hopefully, you use a passcode to unlock your lock screen. It is that passcode that is required to update IOS. See Settings > Passcode.

I have downloaded the recent apple tv update however it is now asking me to connect to iTunes via USB. I don't have this cord and have never connected to iTunes this way before. Only even via wifi. Does anyone know how I can bypass this
No, you can't by-pass it. If you are getting this error message it mean something has gone amiss with the update and it needs to be connected to itunes to fix it. The USB it needs is a standard Micro USB to USB cable, the kind used by most digital cameras and readily available from any electronics or discount store.

Asked to insert my password, from a keychain I don't have?
I'm trying to log in to my Microsoft Lync account, but I get a notification asking for my password from a keychain I don't have. So how am I suppose to know the password? The problem is that I can't even find that specific keychain (or Lync in my keychain, because I haven't added it to the keychain), and I can't log in to my Lync.
Look in Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access for your keychain. You can look for the password the. Run Keychain First Aid.

Sorry can't do anything more than offer support. We have been having this problem for months and support is clueless. Do you also have the migrating homepage issue? We can have 3 or 4 different homepage set-ups throughout the day. Between Verizon and FIOS, there isn't an employee in the corporation who cares about customer service. Since the failed email migrations dating back to Spring of 2011, we have had this login situation constantly. Our normal login count for a day is 12. We figure they are regulating traffic by having customers constantly login.

Why does my iPhone 5 keep saying "cannot download" "There is not enough storage to download 'Facebook'. (Btw, I already have fb on my iphone 5, just trying to update it). You can manage your storage in Settings... Well, in settings, I have plenty of storage left that I bought... called iCloud! What's up with this piece of $500 junk I bought from apple, that it won't allow me to record memorable moments in my life!!! Should I go back to android, which lets me record hours of video/audio/pictures, without ever "CHARGING ME EXTRA", never even a dime!!! What a waste of time, energy, resources, etc. I miss Steve Jobs... He wouldn't have screwed his customers over like this!
Go to Settings>General>Usage and see how much available local storage you have available. You can also see what apps are taking up the most room.
You say that you paid for more iCloud storage. That's for back ups. You can't download apps to it or steam media from it. In order to take pictures you have to have space on the phone itself.

Blu-ray Error: "not enough free storage" - even though 800MB are free
I'm trying to burn a Blu-Ray, about 2h20min worth of VBR 2pass HD video exported therough Premier 5.5 via the "Queue" (Media Encoder). Using the Blu-ray mpeg preset with the target bitrate slightly reduced.
Anyway, point is that Disc Info in the Build tab says 24.18 GB used, 818.9 MB free, yet when I go to burn I get "Blu-ray Error: 'not enough free storage', Code '25', Note: 'Not enough disc space.'" I've had problems with dual layer DVDs in the past, but I have successfully burned blu-ray before (but with not as much content). So I tried doing my workaround for DLs, which is burning to a folder with the intention of going through ImgBurn. But when I try to do a Blu-ray folder I get 'Blu-ray Error: 'device not ready,' Code '3', Note: "File can not open.(F:\Encore Projects\Geprges and Julie Bluray\AuthorScriptHDMVSessions\Gerpges Julie export 1 bluray 2pass high.m2v.00_28_02_22.9.2011_UTC_04_00DST.ves.)- "
("Georges and Julie" is name of my file and project.)

This error code 25 would come when you burn to the Blu-ray Image and not with Folder and Disc.
And regarding the error code 3 that came while burning to folder, this is because sometimes with multiple burning attempts of the same project causes the session files of the project go corrupt. So FIRST TAKE A BACK UP OF YOUR PROJECT (save as your project to some other place to retain a copy of it) and then clsoe the project and delete all the session files from the project folder. Delete the session files and Not the Sesson folder.
Reopen the project and build. This should work.

Shuts down when held with one hand or tilted
