my ipod seems to be frozen. it turns on ok but freezes as soon as it displays something.And Ive already tried the 5 r's

Right... might be time for a trip to an Apple store to see if the guys there can help. Might at least prevent you damaging the wall...
Seriously, have you left it overnight, powered it down, etc, etc? What do you see on the screen when it is frozen? Is the click wheel making any noise?

I am just about ready to give up on itunes

I have had so many problems with itunes in the last week. I first tried to update to itunes 10 on my laptop with no luck, it just kept coming up with different errors. I was then told to completely uninstall itunes and download from scratch, I did that and it wouldn't even download so I was left without itunes. Giving up on ever getting itunes back on my laptop, I spent hours transferring all my music over to my partners laptop. After backing up my iphone and then syncing it, more than half of my music 'could not be located.' Even all the music I purchased from itunes I can't access. Can somebody please help me?

there are various windows-based third party packages that might work for you, but i don't have a lot of experience with them. (TBird is good at this, but i haven't seen him/her around much lately.)
it may be worth checking in over at ilounge or ipod garage forums for testimonials for and discussion of the other packages.

Don't worry, just follow these steps to fix iPhone stuck on Apple logo
=> First of all Start your Computer and then connect with Internet connection, now Download the latest version of the iTunes application
=> Now install the iTunes application in your System and connect your Device with computer via Data cable
=> Now connect your Device with iTunes application and then Tab on summary option, see in the left side bar of iTunes
=> Now Select restore option from iTunes and then confirm the Restore Message for better results. After this unplug your Device and Restart it

I figured it out! We have a modem (the new one that was given to us when we signed up with Comcast) and a wireless router. The network names on the two are different, so I called Comcast and they confirmed that the new Comcast modem puts out a wireless signal and that our network is connected to that one, not the old wireless router. So I checked to see if that network was available to connect to on my iPhone and it was! I entered the new password, forgot the old network, and it works!! Thanks for the suggestion to call Comcast!

I am using a dell laptop running windows 7 and have tried changing the file location to run the update in all of my iTunes files as well as when I've tried reinstalling it.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.

The point is that there are four i product users for one computer in my house, and not everyone wants the same music on their device. Like I said before, the ipod is not syncing to the new library even though I plug it in when the new itunes library is pulled up. It keeps syncing to the old library...

If your phone is locked to a particular carrier, you must contact them to request they unlock it. Once they've taken care of that and you've followed the instructions to complete the unlock process, you will be able to use the phone elsewhere.

If you have carefully follow ALL of the steps in that article, you are using a USB port directly on your computer and not a USB hub (don't use a front port on a tower or desktop either, as they are an internal hub) and you installed iTunes correctly using an Administrator ID and you have tried disabling your antivirus and firewall then there is no hope of it ever working. Look at the tip again, and go through it carefully, not skipping any steps.
Note, BTW, that an iPhone will not show up on a computer, only in iTunes. If there are photos in the Camera Roll then it will appear in Windows as a digital camera only.

The entire DVD containing Quick Time movies (Final CutExpress project) and slideshow was done in iPhoto. The Final Cut project was rendered prior to export to QT, the slideshow was sent to iDVD withoutrendering. The slideshow with most of the pictures from my still camera incombination with stills from movie clips and some downloaded from the Internet.After burning, the movie playback is perfect but the slideshow is not. The slideshow containing 3 differentkinds of pictures; those from my still camera looks OK; the stills from themovie clips and from the Internet are not. I don’t have much knowledge in this game, but I think NTSCwith frame size 720x480, and the downloaded picture Item Property shows most ofthem are between 400 to 500 x 300 to 600, may be both of them are not suitablefor TV screen while the stills from my still camera looks OK because they are2048x1536. Because your computer sees your phone, as it would see any digital camera, as long as you have photos in your camera role. Since you state you don't sync with this computer & have a passcode on your phone, that's why you get that message. The only way to prevent that message is either start syncing with this computer; remove the photos from your camera roll prior to connecting; or first turn off your passcode before you connect. Either that, or you live with it.
You shouldn't be storing photos in your camera roll anyway. iPhone camera roll is not designed for photo storage. You should be regularly importing them.

Assuming you bought the song at the iTunes Store, you can go here

and follow one of the "paths" to get what you need or to an Apple customer support employee. One path is to click Contact Support at the bottom of the list of choices, and use the Express Lane.
The iTunes app also has a way to report a problem with a purchase. Select iTunes Store in the sidebar (of the iTunes window). Toward the upper right corner, click on your Apple ID. This gets you to your Account Information screen. Find Purchase History and click See All. On that screen, you can select a specific purchase with that problem, and Report a Problem.
If you want to try to figure out WHY that song does not play on your iPod shuffle, please post back...
