I am being denied acces to intranet at my college, password denied. message says browser may not understand request
I type in my name and password, but access is being denied. Message says 'your browser doesn't understand how to apply the credentials required. This has happened sinnce switing to Mozilla Firefox Beta 10. Could acces it on ordinary Firefox. Just changed IiMac over to beta 4 and the same thing has happened and the web page sare now also slower to access
That is a generic warning message that you get if you submit a form via a normal HTTP connection (i.e not in via a secure HTTPS connection). That warning pop-up probably has a box to suppress this message in the future.
If you exchange data with your bank site then there should be a secure connection.
You can verify that by clicking the Site Identity Button (website's favicon) on the left end of the location bar.

You need to check the ZoneAlarm website to see if they have an update of their software that is compatible with Firefox 4.0.1

Help.
After being forced to upgrade to 6.5 since my version would not work after upgrading to Mavericks OS I get the "Access denied. The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem." error on one of the sites I manage when trying to publish an edit to a page.
I have looked at prior fixes but none seen to apply to version 6.5
I have uninstalled, reinstalled and now have a fresh install on a new computer and still the issue persists.
I'll appreciate any help to resolve this issue.

KortI encountered the same error message, then remembered I had changed the name of my hard drive. I changed the HD name back and was able to access. Now trying to figure out how I can change the path to my local files so that I can re-change my HD name.

Nobody can tell you anything without knowing exact site and server specs, but I would suspect that naming the folder "html" wasn't the brightest of ideas, since that's usually a default (invisible) folder name existing somewhere on the server and the user not having privileges to overwrite it.

Trying to post my question and being denied, why?
I had an incident happen on my MacBook Pro and needed help with it. I created my question and clicked POST. After I clicked POST nothing happened and it appeared my question did not post. I thought something went wrong with posting my MacBook Pro question. I checked my activity page and looked for my new entry and it was not listed. I went back and tried to post again. This time I was sent a pink banner that read "You are not allowed to create or update this content." At the bottom of my question box it said "Auto-saved" with the date and time listed. I am confused now. I have searched all over looking for my question. It's no where. What has happened to my posted question? Why am I being denied access to it?
The Forum is haunted with glitches, you ran in to two. If you get the you can't post message first refresh the page if that doesn't work try a little later. If you get the message auto-saved versions etc,. tap recover or type a new question. If you find your question is in the wrong Forum reply to yourself and ask if someone will ask a host to relocate your post.

My in app purchase keep being denied. Why? They were working for the past, uh, 2 years. Now they don't. I can't fix it on my own apparently because I'm sent to a rather unhelpful support site.

Why am I being denied access to Behance when I've been a member since April 2013?

IF its intermittent errors on Web then you might need to adjust the java settings for FR .Also If this is the issue is on the Reports client then you want to make sure that path for css.dll is being added to system path -

Sometimes what occurs is third party software will keep records of what is what on your drive and since you restored from TimeMachine it might have moved things around thus causing the crash.
Also check with the developer that they are updated to work with 10.8.4 as its a recent release.
TimeMachine restores work, it's just they haven't been all that reliable at restoring verses a bootable clones.

Now our friend Thomas might not have figured out why your restoring + using a cache cleaner, but I do.
IMO your better off using a virtual machine operating system that runs in a window on OS X.
VirtualBox is FREE, and Linux Mint is also FREE and the most newbie friendly to install, includes Flash etc., so it works on sites. When your done surfing, you revert to the last saved "Snapshot" of the guest operating system (Linux) and all your troubles are gone in seconds.

I don't have a specific User Tip how to setup Linux in VirtualBox, but will likely do so eventually. It's not hard actually.

Iphoto on my macbook pro has stopped working. It comes up with a message saying that the library is either being used by another user or it is unreadable. Any ideas why I should be receiving this message?
"Your photo library is either in use by another application or has become unreadable"
Offered solution doesn't work:
Shut down and restart your computer, and then open iPhoto again. If the problem persists, try rebuilding your photo library. To do this, quit iPhoto, and then reopen it while keeping the Option and Command keys pressed. You can also try restoring your photo library from a backup.
I have already copied my photographs to the a library manager but when I tried to reuse iphoto and import the photos back into iphoto, it would not let me.
I can't download photographs from my iphone or my digital camera.
Any ideas on how I can solve this problem?
There is a possibility that when I went to update applications that I started to install Mavericks which I then interrupted and cancelled. I am not definite that this caused this problem but it was at about the same time as when this problem started.

You can't "copy" your photos to the "library manager", there is just no way to any such thing.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

It's not an iTunes login / password issue because sometimes one or two of the Apps will download and the others stall with the blank progress bar. The internet connection is working fine in all other respects.

Hi, I went to update my iphone using my itunes site, halfway through i got a message saying reset, make sure that your network is active and try again, the network connection is fine. it will not allow me acces to my phone unless a recovery is done. I have not done any back ups and obviously dont want to lose any information. Please can anyone help
