You cannot customize the Safari toolbar on the iPad.
What you can do on the iPad is go to Settings>Safari>Always show Bookmarks Bar>On and that will add a bookmarks bar on to the Safari browser.

I have a Virgin Media Super hub and would like to know what firewall settings to put it on, low, medium or high or whether it makes any difference? I am trying to make my network and Mac as secure as possible and need help, i've always had PCs.
The Mac operating system has very good firewall built-in to Apple menu -> System Preferences -> File Sharing.
That said, if your hub has 802.11g or higher WiFi, be sure to use WPA2 security, and see if there are settings to prevent ping attacks.
If your hub is only ethernet, find out what settings to ues to prevent ping attacks.
802.11b WiFi is fairly insecure, and you are better to use ethernet instead, if that's all it provides. -

One iPad per purchase, assuming the iPads will be used by different users. If the school wants to purchase an app for multiple iPads, they have to have one license for each iPad. In the US, there's an academic volume purchase plan:

I would like to know what recommendations people have for poster software? I have a mac osx 10.6.8 and would like to know if there are any versions of photoshop that would be suitable.
Any help appreciated. Thanks.I wouldn't use Photoshop to make posters, though of course I'd use it with the photos that are part of the poster. For text work I'd use Illustrator or InDesign as appropriate.

I have had a great experience with UPAD. You can take notes on PDF files as well as use your finger or a stylus to take notes on a variety of blank page backgrounds. You can then email your notes as a PDF if you want. I know there are other features, but those are the ones I typically use.
What I really like is the writing interface. You can pick line color and thickness. Whe writing area is magnified so you can write easier and the text appears normal size on the page, though I believe you can write without the magnified area to if you want to. You can easily move the writing area where you want it, and it is easy to keep uniform indentation for lists and columns.
It's easy to start using in minutes. I got my iPad last year right before a huge national conference where I wanted to take notes in a lot of educational sessions. I also did not want to lug all the handouts with me across the country. I found UPAD after some research and decided to give it a try. I downloaded all the handouts right before I left. I was able to figure out how to take notes on a PDF as well as create a new notebook for other content during the speaker introductions. And when I got home, I sent some notes to a colleague. All very easy.
I'm sure the description in the app store is much more helpful, but I wanted to share some examples. -

We're just fellow users here and have no access to any information about your account. Nor in most cases will Apple be able to give you such information. If your credit card is being charged for purchases that are not showing in your iTunes Store account's Purchase History, contact your bank and report the charges as fraudulent.

I have an unauthorized purchase and would like to know how to go about it.
I have two pendings on my bank account for 14.99. I have not purchased anything and would like to know why I am being charged. Also I have not received any emails stating that I have purchased something. Could someone have hacked my account and purchased this? Nothing is showing up in my account history either.

I use Preview to edit photos, and would like to know if there are any updates to this program in the works. It seems Apple is constantly updating its software, except for Preview. I find it crashes all too often, and also takes forever to "catch up" with me (as in spinning beachball of death) when I'm editing a lrge amount of photos. Yes, I know I should be using Photoshop or somesuch, but it's just too **** confusing, and I don't have the time to figure it out. Thanks!!
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
Step 2
In the Console window, look under User Diagnostic Reports for crash reports related to the crashed process. The report name starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report and post the entire contents — again, the text, not a screenshot. In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.) Please don’t post shutdownStall, spin, or hang logs — they're very long and not helpful. -
