You need to purchase the retail version on a disc with a black face and a big X on it.  Do not buy a grey-faced version, that would be machine specific and won't work for you.

  • How do I get Photo Elements full version downloaded

I purchased (for $129+) the FULL Version of Photo Elements 12 & Premier Elements 12.  Photo Elements 12 all of a sudden stopped working and said my TRIAL had expired.  I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled the program and it still says my TRIAL has expired.  Any ideas?

  • I need a prior version of firefox...version 1.5 because my payroll department software is not compatible with firefox 6.0... how do I get the other - older - version ??

my payroll department uses eSAP payroll program. It is NOT compatible with your new version...6.0. I need your older version 1.5 so i can access my payroll records. I am currently being forced to use Internet Explorer and I absolutely HATE that software.
please help !!! How do I get the older version? Version 1.5 - thank you.

I would hope the problem is that Firefox 5 is not compatible with some of McAfee's additional add-ons. It will be rather worrying if it has a problem with the McAfee security programs themselves. Please state exactly which software and version you are having problems with.
There are known issues with McAfee's Site Advisor [/questions/839953#answer-205178] but it is hoped McAfee will solve that in a few weeks.

  • HT1899 I am trying to install Windows 7 via new Full version disc on Macbook Air via Bootcamp.

I have downloaded the installation guide but am not able to get past the partition stage. Windows partition to 20GB hit install but I get "installation disc not found" continually. I can "see" the Windows DVD on my Remote DVD on my IMAC.

Sorry I'm a little late, my e-mail notifications died, I was wondering why it was so quiet. Here I thought I was getting better at this.
Have you tried the USB thumb drive W7 installer way? I know 10.7 has an option now for installing a W7 installer iso onto a USB thumb drive but I don't know if 10.6 does. Search Google/yahoo for more information. Basically just make an iso of the W7 installer and copy it to the USB drive and it will boot via USB.
At least I think yours can? Not sure which models work.
Have you tried one of those CD disk cleaners? I bought one years ago and worked like a charm. (if it's dirty) It has a row of real fine bristles.
Other then that you may have a dying drive?
As far as games, make sure they are updated to run W7, other then that, that's Windows for ya.....

  • How do I set the options to check for newer versions of stored pages so I get a new refreshed version every time I visit a web page?

I can do this in IE easily but can't find any place in Firefox for this setting. Every time Firefox starts and/or I visit previously viewed pages I want Firefox to refresh the page. It used to do this before I downloaded a new version of Firefox within the past couple months. (I wish I had not installed the new version, I really don't like it as well and I lost features I used.)

    See:
To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />
*Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
*Preferences that have been modified show as bold(user set).
*Preferences can be reset to the default or changed via the right-click context menu.

  • Upgraded full Version to new full Version

    Hi,
I have two Creative Suite versions (CS5, CS6). These where upgraded over many years.
Now I wan't to sell one version. I wan't to make sure that neither the buyer nor me has trouble with installation or the serial number.
I remember that it often was necessary to have the version to upgrade from installed on the computer.
    (is it still necessary?)
How can i get a serial number that an upgrade works without the older version installed (i made sure the upgrades always where legal) .
How do i make sure there was nothing mixed up in the path of upgrades.
( It is hard to track back as one version was upgraded from Photoshop 2.0, another one as a sidegrade from Macromedia Studio MX and even another one from a Photoshop version 5.0)
    Thank you in advance,
    Patrick
P.S.: wow too bad i still got trouble after using Adobe Products after twenty years! Where is the general support?

no reply yet? how do i contact the support again?

  • "upgrading" from 3.6 to a full version of 5

Hi. I just purchased a new full version of LR 5 (because it was cheaper than buying the upgrade version) and am wondering if it will still move all my work and presets to the full version from the 3.6 version that I currently have on my pc.
    Thanks

I found my answer after browsing through the Lightroom Facebook page. "The  upgrade version is the same program as the non-upgrade, the difference  is just pricing of how you get a license to work with the application."

  • CS5 Full Version Update Issue

Originally, my CS5 was an update from CS4.  When this CS5 was installed as an "update", it appeared to install properly.  However, further updates to this install returned "error in downloading update", with a indication that "This serial number is not for a qualifying product."  Adobe's solution was to issue me a "full version" serial number.  CS5 s/n was deactivated, CS5 was uninstalled, PC was rebooted and the new "full version" was installed. Further updates still returned "serial number not for a qualifying product."  Solution???

    GARFERS,
Yes, I told you that they sent you here because they perceived your questions to be a technical question about an unsupported version.  You need to present it as an installation issue, not a technical one.
Only CS6 and higher are still supported.  You are three or four versions behind in the eyes of Adobe, and they only support technical issues in versions that are currently being sold.  Yours is not a technical issue, but an installation issue.
The forums are precisely for technical issues in older versions.  We are not here to teach Photoshop step by step as you insinuate.  But we have now established yours is not a technical issue.  We cannot help with Customer Service issues at all, as opposed to Adobe Tech Support issues.
Your screen shot DOES NOT show the destination I would be taken to if I follow ALL THE STEPS in my post.
This is where I just landed:
If this link doesn't work any longer, then Adobe has changed it and there's nothing I can do about it. Sorry.

  • Full version vs OEM ?

I am about to buy windows vista home premium i cant decide on which to get though the Full Version priced at $195 or the OEM priced at $95.
    Questions
1.my real question is what are the differences between these too?
2.I heard OEM can only be used to install once, so will it be possible for me to reinstall the OEM if i need or want to one the same computer?
3.With the OEM version can i run Windows with Bootcamp and then run the same version in Parallels?
4.Basically can I use the OEM more than once on the same computer?

Another difference between the retail an OEM versions I believe, is that the OEM version contains either a 32bit version or a 64bit version but not both.
The retail version has both allowing you to later change your mind and reinstall the other option.
The main issue I would worry about is that if you think you are going to regularly upgrade your computer, then the OEM version would have to be replaced each time (it is tied to a single logic board - the one you first install on), whereas the retail version can be uninstalled and moved to a new machine (the license allows you to do this). If you might only change once then the much cheaper price of the OEM version means you could afford to buy two copies, if you might change three times, then it might become cheaper to have the retail version.
Hardcore gamers, who constantly rebuild their custom machines would probably benefit from getting the retail version.

  • How to get back all the old sync data in new sync version?

How to get all the back up data from old sync version to the newer sync version?

hello, you could try this "hack" to get a new firefox version to connect to an old sync account:
enter '''about:config''' into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up), right-click somewhere in that page & create a new string preference named '''services.sync.username'''with a value like '''fake'''.
afterwards you should be able to connect to the old account through the firefox options > sync panel. if this worked and you could import your data successfully, please migrate to the new sync afterwards: [[How to update to the new Firefox Sync]]

  • Updating from trial to Full version, can't get rid of Trial Overlay on the Video.

    Hey guys,
I just bought the Premier Elements 11 full version and installed it. I had made a video on the trial, and was hoping that when I opened that in the full version, the overlay that says "Created with Adobe Premiere Elements" that hangs out there for the whole video would disappear. Is that not the case?? Is there anything I can do to the file what will get rid of that...or do I simply have to re-make my video??
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ben

    BenjaminGWS
Thanks for the follow up information on what you observed trying to get rid of the Premiere Elements 10 tryout watermark in the project.prel from that 10 version in the purchased Premiere Elements 11. You say that the watermark was not removed automatically by the purchased Premiere Elements 11. I had never heard "automatic" to be the case until I tried this myself with Premiere Elements 11, not 10, tryout and then the purchased Premiere Elements 11. Unfortunately, I do not have access to the Premiere Elements 10 tryout to make a comparative test between
    Premiere Elements 10 tryout
    Premiere Elements 11 purchased
    vs
    Premiere Elements 11 tryout
    Premiere Elements 11 purchased
But I have seen my observation verified independantly by at least one other.
But there are a lots of things here that SG and Adobe need to help us clarify.
    a. Can you really remove the watermark from the Timeline once exported as a file (.mov, .avi, etc) from the tryout or is he and Adobe referring to removing the watermark on files still within the project.prel file.
    b. Classically SG has said to go Timeline Menu/Deleted All Rendered Files as the route in the project.prel of a purchased version to get rid of the watermarked video still within the project.prel from the tryout. The Rendered files are .avi files for SD project and .mpeg for HD project. It is my understanding that there is a fundamental difference between "Rendered Files" and "Conformed Video" files, the latter typically having the file extension of .mcdb. So, when SG says
"You delete the Media Cache by going to the Preferences (under the Edit menu on a PC) and, on the Media page, clicking the Clean button.
That should get rid of all of your render files -- and the watermarked video along with them."
I would ask him to revisit that statement. If you are doing anything with that directive, you are deleting conformed video files that are found in Local Disk C\Users\owner\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\Media Cache Database Folder. That information is clearly available in the Media Cache Database dialog in that Common Folder. The "Rendered Files" are still alive and well with their companion .xmp files in the Adobe Folder (default Documents\Adobe\Premiere Elements). This is true for Premiere Elements 11 and 10 Windows 7 64 bit.
I do not see where the question that started this thread has really been answered. And the latest SG comment forces to ask for a clarification on that.
We will be watching for your results.

  • Trial to full version problem on lightroom mobile

I used a trial version of lightroom and lightroom mobile. within a few days of the trial expiring I used a credit card and bought a serial key from adobe.com to upgrade from trial to full version. but for some reason lightroom mobile on my iPads says my trial has now expired and i need to sign in with an id that has a paid version. i have already done that! how do i solve this problem? i can't use lightroom mobile yet i have full version on my desktop. please help.

In order to use Lightroom Mobile you must have a creative cloud subscription. Lightroom Mobile worked for 30 days because you are given a trial period. But beyond that trial, Lightroom Mobile cannot be used unless you subscribe to a creative cloud package. The most common one, I believe, is the one that includes Photoshop/Bridge, Lightroom and Lightroom Mobile for $9.99/month.

  • Win 7 upgrade or full version (what's the difference anyway?)

I mean, if you get the upgrade version you can also do a clean install so you have this brand new computer again (if you wish to go that way)
This will be the same as with a full version, will it not?
the only difference being that an upgrade will be cheaper or free because you already have a licence number.
I don't get the fuss, maybe it's my shortcoming???

The functions that comes to mind that the upgrade from Lenovo has that the RTM/Retail doesn't are Lenovo provided discs, RnR, and the Lenovo Care Blue Button.
