I am currently trying to instal the new Mac OS X. I have fully downloaded the software and in the process of preparing the installation the loading screen goes down to 1 second remaining before the computer is restarted and then stops. It will not restart and begin the installation process.. i would really appreciate some help here.
* Ive gone through all the updates
* ive made sure that i have enough room for installation

Trying to install the new itunes update and it keeps saying error could not install itunes. Currently I am running windows 7. Any advise to fix this problem. That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer? -
I tryed to install the new version of itunes, but when it was downloading a pop up popped up and it said 'the older version of bonjour can not be updated. please contack your support group.' what do i do?

(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -

I tried to install the new version of itunes. it didnt download correctly. i uninstalled itunes and tried to download it again but I keep getting a message that the "apple device support " didnt download correctly and keeps showing me "windows error code 1114.

If it's saying it can't find the iTunes.msi or iTunes64.msi, we should try the following procedure.
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page).

After clicking one of the circled links, you should be taken to another page, and after a few seconds you should see a download dialog appear for the msicuu2.exe file. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like for me in Firefox:
Choose to Save the file. If the dialog box does not appear for you, click the link on the page that says "CLICK HERE IF IT DOES NOT". Here's a screenshot of the page with the relevant link circled:
When the dialog appears, choose to save the file.
(2) Go to the Downloads area for your Web browser. Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. Hi everyone! I tried to install the new iOs 7 on my iphone 4, but it wasn't completed (showing error 4005). Now, my iphone is stuck on the itunes' logo with the usb cord, and I can't use my phone. And itunes doesn't detect my iphone when I connect it on my computer, so I can't put it in recovery mode or someting like that... What can I do?? I tried everything they tell me to do in the apple support but nothing seems to work. Thank you!

Update: my PC USB hub was connected to a USB 3 port, I connected the 30 pin cable directly to my PC, And the restore worked just fine. Restored phone from iCloud backup and seems to be working fine. -

If you don't have the Apple ID and password, how did you get Mountain Liomn in the first place? Without the Apple ID and password, you'll need to buy it to download it.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards? -

Trying to Install the New Itunes
I'm trying to Install the new Itunes cause the old one won't work with my ipod, but eveytime, it finishes, then gives me an error message that says it wasn't able to finish because an apps file or something was not located. Help! I am so frustrated!

I Keep trying to install the new 8.0.1 to my iPhone 5s but keeps saying I'm not connected to the Internet.

They will release it's replacement, iOS 8.0.2 "in the next few days".

After you have downloaded the update, attach your iPad to your computer, open iTunes and select your iPad in the devices list. Press & hold the Option/Alt key and click the Check for Update button. Browse to where you downloaded the update and Choose it. iTunes will handle the rest. -

There are two ways that a backup can become encrypted:
You chose to encrypt it, then forgot the password.
If you have company-provided MS Exchange access your IT department has the option of requiring your backup to be encrypted. The first time you backed up or synced after installing MS Exchange you were prompted for a password. That is the password you need.
If you don't have the password any longer there is no way to restore the backup. -
Currently trying to install the silverlight program
currently trying to install the silverlight program onto my macbook pro to enable the computer to stream Netflix properly. I cannot fully install the program, silverlight continues to download as "silverlight.pkg" and tries to open itself with quicktime. Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
