I am debating how much memory I need to get on my Ipad? Any thoughts

I am interested in getting an Ipad2 but do not know if I need 16gb or 32gb memory? Any thoughts? I would probably have 20 to 30 apps running on the Ipad2.

Your answer is irrelevant and wrong. The question was how much memory do I need for my ipad? not how much ram or is it future proof through upgrade. What you term as storage is flash 'memory' and the other, DDR is indeed RAM. The difference with this application being one is volatile & the other is not. Its obvious he is talking about flash memory so why post for the sake of it?
I used to own ipad 1 64GB/3G device (bad WIFI experience & returned the device). However I initially used it for web browsing, watching catchup TV, books & some apps. As I have other devices for music and films I really didn't benefit from the additional expense.
HD films typically consume ~2GB, single 128 bit song of ~4mins is about 4MB, most books do not comsume a great deal of space. Given films have the greatest impact it largely depends how many films you wish to carry around. Given they can be swapped in/out very easily with itunes its not a big deal. Additionally there are many tools that permit you to lower the film quality to reduce the file size.
Having some idea of file sizes and how many of each media type you wish to carry around you can extrapolate the most suitable memory density for you.

Just wondering how much extra RAM should I get to get the most/best out of photoshop I am really hoping my files files a bit quicker. allround.

We'd have to know something about the kind of images you work on to answer that well.
8 GB actually does quite well for all but the largest (multi-gigabyte) images.

KC eh? I live near the area :P anyway, I would recommend 16GB. I'm debating as well but I'm going to get the 32GB version as I plan to watch movies/TV shows on mine. They do take up some space. I've been getting by on my iPhone 3G which has 8GB but now I wish I had more... I think this would be the case for me and the iPad as well so I'm getting 32GB.
As for you if you're not planning on watching movies or tv shows (not using Netflix) then I suggest 16GB.
The iPhone OS uses a little less than 2GB so you'll havel ike 14GB to play with.
but if you can spare the extra $100 I'd get 32GB.

I want to find out how much memory is left on my macbook pro. I need to know steps to find this out.

I had a problem today as my computer would not save a file for me. A box stated macintosh HD was full and I would need to clear some files to make room. I realized that although I had deleted emails from mac mail, gmail had not deleted these and all still remained on my macbook pro. I went to gmail and finally deleted all the emails, and there were thousands. I have been able to save a file as of now but want to know how much memory exists on my macbook pro. It is confusing when I go to the Apple icon in the upper left corner of my laptop as that states my computer has 4gb of memory, two in each slot. It does not tell me how much as been used. Any help with this issue is greatly appreciated. M.

Imaq 3.0 Driver, How much memory do I need to run Snap.vi?

(1) When I am using ROI in the Snap.vi, the array should be in order of Left, Bottom, Right and Top to work it right, which is different from what Help says, that is, Left, Top, Right and Bottom. Which one is right?
(2) How much memory do I need to run the Snap.vi? 3.0 Driver seems to need more memory than 2.5.1 Driver did. I have 255 MB RAM on my computer, but in reality, the memory usage is used over 255 MB to capture 640*480 picture.

(1). The help menu is correct, the array should be Left, Top, Right, and Bottom for the ROI input.
(2). I am not sure exactly what behavior you are seeing with the memory problems in 3.0. You should be able to run an image snap no problem, the memory useage will vary, but will be much less than the RAM on your computer. Be sure that you are not running an IMAQ Create.vi inside of a loop.
Try running the example VI called HL Snap.vi, which can be found by going to Help&#187Find Examples. . . and browsing by directory structure. This VI should not be taking up too much RAM on your computer.

How much memory do I need for iPhone?

Before I purchase an iPhone 4s I would like to know how much memory I might need. I will have some songs though currently I use only about 2GB on old iPod. I will no doubt have some pictures and perhaps a video and, of course, some apps though I really don't know how many. I tentatively planned to buy 16GB. My daughter is shooting for 32GB. Hi, from what you have said above, the 16GB iPhone 4S seemsmore than enough space for a user with the outlined above, bearing in mind youdo not necessarily get 16GB, as there is the operating system and otherprogrammes that use memory, for example I have a 64GB iPhone 4S and it comeswith 57.42 GB or storage.
If you purchase a 16GB and you do seem to be running out ofspace, you can always back up your data to a computer and it can be deletedfrom your phone - meaning you have more space. If you are worried about havingthis problem 32GB will probably be the best option and will be more thanenough.

Download from the Internet OmniDiskSweeper (free) and open it. It will show all of your files and the respective sizes. Delete and transfer what you do not want or need on your HDD.

I'm doing a research work about analysing the main memory usage in SAP ERP systems.
I would like to find out the space that a simple webservice's call occupies in the buffers, but there is always something occupying the buffers. I know that my call to get the values occupies memory, that's why I use a webservice to get them (to avoid the SAPGUI), I call first $SYNC and I use a BAPI similar to the transaction ST02.
So could someone help me to find out the way to mesure the memory used by a single webservice's call (it's a very simple, just to create a material)? Thanks in advance.

The key to successful use of edge fill is to ensure that you've got all the memory allocated to PSE that you can and that the file that results after you merge the panoramic is not too big. When PSE 9 first came out about a year ago, I fooled around with file sizes and I think that on my particular computer the merged file had to be no larger than 20 megs for edge fill to work. Buy an external hard drive on which to save your media. The drive should be large enough to handle your entire iTunes Library plus how much you would anticipate adding to the library over the next few years. Then backup your existing library to the external drive: iTunes- Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive.
After you have backed up the library to the external drive you can configure iTunes to use the library on the external drive in iTunes > Preferences > Advanced. Change the path to the external drive. Once you do that quit and relaunch iTunes. It should now be using the library on the external drive. Now you can delete the library on the internal hard drive to free up the space.

If you're on your Mac OS, click on the little Apple sign in the top left corner of the screen and select About This Mac. Then, if you have your external HD plugged in, go to Storage, and there you should see all HDs (internal and external, USBs, etc) space and how much you have left on them. On a Windows OS, just go to My Computer to see.

I believe your model iMac can address 3 GB RAM; the minimum for Lion is 2 GB - however, that is an absolute minimum for very light use. You would be much happier with a minimum of 4 GB.
