Can I give my daughter my old phone when I upgrade w/o any additonal fees, penalities etc on our shared plan?... She has a 4 that we can sell or donate. Can we keep our old numbers?
You can do this. She will need to get a new SIM card (they are free) for the iPhone 5 and activate it on her number, but it's entirely doable.

App purchases are permanently tied to the ID with which they were purchased. They cannot be transferred to a new ID.
You will have to enter the password for that ID or delete the apps and re-purchase them with the new one.

I have an Apple ID and trying to sign in for the 1st time on iTunes. When I do, I get the message: "This Apple ID has not been used with the iTunes Store. Please review your account information." When I do, it brings me to the same AppleID login window, and I get stuck in the same loop. I never get to the following screen to enter my account info. What's going on?? This is MADDENING!

My wife absolutely hates her phone. She has mentioned she would like the iphone, but she isnt eligible to upgrade until December of 2011. Does anyone know of any way to get around this?

You can actually upgrade at ANY time. If you have not completed enough of your contract, though, you will not receive discounted pricing and will have to pay full retail for the upgrade.
Just seems to be a question of "how much your wife hates her phone, how much she wants the iPhone and how much you love her". -
I am trying to sync a iPhone 3GS (I have 4 phones on my account) and I haven't sync'd it since October? (It's my brother's phone and he doesn't use a lot of the features and wasn't willing to give it up for me to do so) anyway, I have over the years had to get new phones (replacements and such from Apple) so when I plugged this in it ONLY gave me the option of my phone number. There was a list of other "Andrea's iPhone" but if I click on them the phone number still doesn't change to the one that matches his phone! Hence I am scared to death that my entire phone is going to load on to his and I have the 4S! I have NO idea how to fix it what to do. Do I set it up as a new phone? I mean how do I back it up and get the new software on it and everything? Any and ALL help appreciated! Will be grateful for anyone who is wiilin to answer me !!! Thanks

It seems that it does not work unless I delete the songs from my library first so they are only available on icloud. Then I move the songs to the playlist. After I am done adding the songs to the playlist, I press the cloud next to the playlist and the songs are downloaded to my iphone. If I press sync first, I end up with the old playlist back on my computer minus the deletions and new songs.
I am now having problems getting my new purchases to transfer to my library. If anyone knows how to get Itunes 12.1 to do this automatically, please let me know. -

I tried upgrading to leopard, even bought the software and brought it home but it wouldn't let me. So i went back to apple, gave them the specifications of the machine and been told my machine is simply too old for leopard. This is incredible to me because it really isn't THAT old (i think just a little over 6 years maybe) and yet i'm left out on the curb when it comes to using newer apple products. I understand technology moves on but the mindset that i am supposed to dump a perfectly working machine after a couple of years or face not being able to use any other apple product is counter to what thought apple was about. -
