I am experiencing Popup ads even with popups blocked in preferences and always on initial opening of FF Browser when clicking anywhere on any website?
Is there a fix, a plugin to disable or is this a Firefox default feature or is this related to something else?
I use FF 11.0 on a Mac OS X 10.6.8
Can you help?

Thanks for the reply and add block link. I have used this before but this is a completely different problem that I am experiencing.
I have a suspicion that I have something on the computer that has control.
The advert popups are always for Mac Cleaner.
Any other suggestions?

Apple guys are deleting posts. I have found my posts have been deleted. Apple should MUST let us downgrade at least to previous release from current which was working fine.

1. Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.
    Plug it back to the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all the lights are lit properly. It will take a while.
    Restart the computer.
    Start up in Safe Mode.

    Close all windows and quit all applications.
    Hold "option" key down and click "Go" menu in the Finder menu bar.
    Select "Library" from the dropdown.

    Right click the Caches.db file and select "Move To Trash.
    Close windows and relaunch Safari.
3. Empty Caches
    Safari > Preference > Advanced
    Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
    Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
    Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.
4. Delete Cookies

Background audio ads even with no tabs open

This is driving me nuts. I have searched for answers, but none help.
I get random audio ads even when there is only a new tab open in Firefox 15. Started with "Congratulations, you won", but today for example, I get an ad for Disney World. Its incredibly annoying.
Happens at random. I could have several in 5 minutes or none for a day of browsing.
I auto clean my cache after each session. No proxies. Does not seem related to any plugin. Have created a new profile.
There MUST be a way t stop this. Anyone have good ides?

Try to delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

On the new install with a default Logic Project, kernal_task (activity monitor) shows 600% CPU usage when ideling (no audio or midi playing.

If it's total CPU usage and not Logic itself.. check for a runaway mdworker routine... caused by a spotlight bug thats been longstanding and never totally fixed... Resolve by stopping the MDworker routine and then exclude all drives from spotlight.. and add back in just the system drive. Wait a couple of hours for spotlight to properly reindex the system drive and then test with Logic to see if CPU usage drops down to normal levels...
If it's Logic that is using 600% then something very weird is going on that is specific to your system or install as that simply isn't normal behaviour even with using just the internal hardware and CoreAudio.

Even with DMZ, i cannot connect or find any online servers for gaming or FTP

I did as you suggested about resetting the sync history - I even closed and reopened everything, and tried syncing with Outlook open, and then closed. The only change is it did download (sync) one new calendar event I added to my Outlook calendar and it put it on my iphone calendar, but it did NOT put my new iphone calendar items on my Outlook calendar. Not sure what else to try!

MacBook Pro starts up with blinking folder and question mark in it. Is there a fix to this issue or has the HDD crashed for good?

I startup my mac and I see a white screen background with a folder icon in the center and a question mark blinking in the center. Called Apple and the rep says this is probably a HDD crash. Only solution is to take it into a Apple store and get a replacement HDD which would cost $300 and upwards. This mac book is about 15 months old and cost $1300. Needless to say I'm highly upset. You can't transfer Kindle books to iTunes. Your Kindle books are stored in your Kindle account on amazon.com. You can download them to authorized devices from there and Amazon stores them there for you.

The reason for this is because there was a security breach at Comodo which is an SSL certificate provider recently whereby a number of fraudulent certificates were inadvertently issued. HT1430 i have recovered, reset and restored and i only get the screens that page through with all of the different languages of HELLO. is there another fix?

i'v checked my proxy and its allright and its only firefox that doesnt work google chrome and internet explorer work. this started when i downloaded fire fox 5, i'v checked your help secktion but it didn't work

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
