He said that Adobe was not in a globalised world. that me having a USA address, being stationed in China, through an Australian university and having an Australian credit card (those banks make profits rather then sending the world in financial chaos) was bewildering to Adobe who lives in a very 19th century world were each country should be treated differently, despite that software coming off the same servers, having the same call centre, and in my case, the same language. So I set up my account with my USA address and used my credit card and Australian university while living in China to buy Lightroom. The transaction went through. This is the email I received.

1. no where does it object to the mixed countries of my transaction.
2. no where does it ask for me to supply my student ID (past the process to buy this software). ie no 14 days to register a student card as stated by service.
So one, I would like to install this software to fully working on my MacPro, so that i can continue my study, thank so.
two i would buy an adobe subscription for the USA address on my Australian credit card at the price advertised when i started trying.
Three Adobe catch up to the globalised world, it is so much hassle to buy your software, it should be a easy, fair and just (like the USA properganda movies say it is, oh China propaganda has nothing on our good old US of A...).

Statistics technical content activation issue with MD process chain in BI7

Hi,
Let me give you history of the issue first.
I had to activate the Statistics in BI7. I followed the SAP Note 965386 and activated the Technical Content.
Faced activation issues in MD process chain, Content Master Data-0TCT_MD_C_FULL_P01. It dint get activated, Followed the SAP note 1065919, which asked me to remove the below process from RSPC and activate it.
Load data- Process Variant Attribute and
Load data- Process Variant Text.
I did the same and it got activated after removing them.
Issue is. Later knew that manually activating the Process chain from Content would have activated those Infopackages aswell.
Now how should I get those processes into the chain and activate? Based on your suggestions, I can let you know what all I have been trying to fix it?

I have this issue solved. I replicated the data sources, activated those infoPackages manually and then added those variants into the process chain manually. So my MD chain now has all the necessary process.
Now i need to schedule them and see if it runs with out any errors. I will keep this thread open till i run it to take your help if i get any errors while running them.

I am facing an issue with the Payables Open Interface Import...
My Requirement is:
1. Need to upload the PO, Supplier, Invoice #, Invoice Date details to custom table (through web ADi)
2. From custom table storing in the AP invoice interface tables.
3. From Interface table, calling API (Payables Open Interface Import) which wil create the invoive (PO matched)
Now, If user has given wrong data some reasons....Payables Open Interface Import has rejected that entry....user has checked this and corrected later and trying to create the same invoice with the correcte data....As there is a rejected a line exists on the Header interface, line interface...even though if he pass the correct data in the second time it is cosidering that rejected row and not processing the correct row...
Can any one suggest on this...

When processing a record, you can check if another ap_invoice_interface record exists for the same invoice number and
1) Delete the old record and then insert a new one
OR
2) Update the old record instead of creating a new one

My friend is now facing one issue with iPad. He clicked on screenshot (attached with email) with Google mail app (iPad) and the screenshot is now stuck open. He cannot close it using the little X in the upper right which does not respond. So his Gmail app is completely blocked by this open screenshot! tried everything including shutting down and rebotting his iPad.

I use the Gmail app and have never had that problem. But Apple has nothing to do with the Gmail app. If you want to report a bug, report it to Google through the app itself.

Anyone else having issues with Lightroom 4 crashing constantly?

I'm having an issue with Lightroom 4 crashing constantly. It happens with 4.3 and 4.4 (I was hoping the upgrade to 4.4 would fix the problem but no...) I'm running Windows 8, 16 GbRAM an AMD FX-8120 processor (not sure if that helps or not) an NVIDIA GeForce GT 620 Graphics card. Not sure if any other info would help. I've tried deleting/moving the preferences file, creating a new catalogue and all the usual fixes I could think of but to no avail. There doesn't seem to be any particular trigger. I could be in the develop module or the Library Module. It just either gives me the blue screen (sometimes with the error "CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED which is a somewhat disturbing but unhelpful error) and reboots itself or the screen just goes blank and I have to manually reboot it. I am totally hamstrung without Lightroom and I have clients waiting for their photos. I am at a total loss.. Can someone please help?!?!?!

Sadly my research since having the problem agrees that the AMD FX are not good for what I am doing which thoroughly annoys me as it was recommended by so called professionals when the build was done in Nov last year. These so called professionals also failed to see the need for cooling fans in the box which I believe is definitely contributing to the problem especially when the temp in NZ gets up to 30 deg C I am definitely looking at getting some fans in there ASAP as well. Thanks for the confirmations of the inadequacy of the proc and the heat issues.

It seems that the link for this kb is not available. So the real issue is that which kind of issue you get, and then check whether this issue has been resolved by the latest VS version. Like the above report, maybe the new VS version would be better for
certain limitations for old versions.

I am facing one issue while reading interface information for "BAPI_EMPLOYEE_GETDATA", from SAP ECC6 server while using "librfc32u.dll".
The "librfc32u.dll" and "librfc32.dll", used are the one that get installed with SAP GUI client 7.10. File version is "7100.3.125.5937".
I am getting this error while using unicode RFCSDK dll (librfc32u.dll) only, If I carry out this operation using non unicode DLL (librfc32.dll) I am not getting this error.
While using unicode RFCSDK, I am using code page "4103", and operating system is Windows XP SP2.
We have a program which does data exchange with SAP using RFCSDK. In this program first we try to read the interface info of a BAPI using RFC_GET_FUNCTION_INTERFACE.

Once we read all the required info we release the table handle, mentioned above using following code

To troubleshoot this what I did is as soon as I execute "RFC_GET_FUNCTION_INTERFACE" and get table handle. I immediately tried to release this handle without doing any further oprations in the code. I am still getting the same error.
I have observed this error with this BAPI (BAPI_EMPOYEE_GETDATA) only. The operation works fine with other RFCs and BAPIs
Could you please suggest how I could resolve this error? I have gone through the different threads listed in the forum for this error however they did not help to resolve the issue.

Facing intermittent issue with findByAltKey api

We are facing an intermittent issue with findByAltKey while invoking from service in out code and so we want to understand the expected behavior of this api
the issue is we have an unposted row in the cache which we need to retrieve.So we are doing a findByAltKey and based on the alternate keys it should return the row,but it fails sometimes.
We noticed while debugging that one of the alternate key attributes that we have defined on our EO is "Name" and the value of name in the EntityCache is sometimes becoming null.As a result of this the alternatekey attributes we pass doesnt match the EO.getAltKey(index) and it in turn doesnt fetch the row.
This attribute "Name" is present both in the base table and the translation table and there is a view link from parent VO to the TL(translation) VO.
What we want to understand here is when we do a findByAltKey based on name ,from where does it gets the name from the base vo or translation vo? And is it because of this sometimes this value in the cache is null?
Can anyone please explain the above issue.

OS 10.7.4 compatibility issues with lightroom 3

i use lightroom 3. i just had to get a new computer and got a macbook pro with os 10.7.4. lightroom is saying it does not recognize the images on the camera, so it will not import them now. the settings on the camera are still in RAW, so that is no different than it was with my old computer. I'm wondering if it is a compatilbilty issue with the new OS and Lightroom 3?

it says " the following files were not imported because they could not be read" and then says items 1-325, which is all of the images. i am able to view all of the thumbnail images when I go to Import, but it won't acutally import them. The camera is set to RAW only, no JPGS.

Slideshow issues with Lightroom vers 3.1

I tried to create a slideshow for a client using my previous version of Lightroom (2.7) but had issues with the selection of music to play in the background. Since I needed this slideshow asap I decided to go ahead and purchase the latest version (3.1) upgrading my older one. Well, to my dismal disappointment I spent the money and although I can now select the specific song..... when I playback the songs plays at 1/4 th speed ,,, just AWFUL !!! I know this issue has been talked about but I could not see if a solution so such was ever found ?? What is Adobe doing about it ?

Issue with Lightroom CC 2015's before and after (\) - Windows 7

Okay, I downloaded Lr CC 2015 and everything is working great except for one thing - before and after. I edit an image then move to another (settings synced but needs a few refinements). I finish the edit and hit \ to take a look at where it started. When I do so, Lr decides to go back to the previous image, thinks about it, then shows me the before of the correct image. After the first time pressing \ it doesn't happen again, unless you move to another image. A little irritating, but something I can put up with. Is anyone having the same issue? Everything is up to date; graphics, OS, etc. Also worth noting, this does not happen with Lr 5.7.
Any ideas, or should I post a bug report over on feedback.photoshop.com?
