I am getting another's user ID for app updates.

I recently purchased an iMac 27. I have never installed Twitter on this device. And yet an update flag for Twitter has appeared in the App Store. When I click on install the update, I get the panel that asks for the user ID and password. But the user ID has already been filled in and it is an individual I have never heard of.
So I have a new device giving me an update notice on an app I have never installed and the authentication panel already had the user ID of a person I have never heard of filled in.
I have run searches on my iMac for "twitter" and the other person's user ID. Nothin shows up. This is annoying because my App Store icon sits there telling me to do an update.
Any ideas what is causing this?

Dah-veed, you got that one right. Thanks for the tip on Find Any File. That solved the problem. Yes, I downloaded a trial and sure enough, when I deleted it, the update notice went away.

Dear Techies,
We have registered an Extra Information Type as self service OAF page and did some validations using user hook which are working fine. But for some requests EIT creation page is throwing below errors.
1. Encountered an error while getting the ORACLE user account for your concurrent request. Contact your system administrator.
2. An unexpected situation occurred while executing routine FND_DATA_SECURITY.GET_SECURITY_PREDICATE_HELPER.The cause was: The parameter 'p_object_name' cannot be 'GLOBAL'.
System throws these errors whenever user hook suppose to throw our customized validation messages.Since we are at UAT instance, we are bouncing apache and oacore to get rid of these errors every time they appear. But we cannot bounce once it is moved to production.
Kindly share some ideas to fix these errors as we are very close to Go-Live and we are facing this issue with all EIT's and SIT's.

Thanks for reply.
I have gone through the link that you have suggested. But our EIT user hook validations doesn't have any code related to submission of concurrent programs. More over our error is not stable. If we bounce the apache and oacore, the system will work fine without unexpected errors for some time. We are not even able to replicate these errors.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

And are you saying that I will not be able to access any updates for apps that were acquired under the original Apple ID and password?
I am saying that the only way to update apps acquired with the old Apple ID is with the old Apple ID. You cannot update them with a new Apple ID.

Cellular Data for iTunes Match but not for app updates

In iOS7 we can now have App updates downloaded automatically. Great. But if I want to use cellular data to stream songs from my iTunes Match library in iCloud when I'm on the road, but don't want to waste cellular data on App updates how can I do this? It appears that enabling cellular data for iTunes Match also requires using cellular data for any of the four auto download features as well in Settings>iTunes & App Store. Am I seeing this correctly and is there a way to fix this? I don't want to use cellular data for app updates, just for iTunes Match streaming. Any help would be great.

This looks like the same problem I've come across. From what I have been told, they are not separate, ie if you enable use cellular data to stream songs from iTunes Match you also have to download updated apps if you have it set to automatically download them.
I think this should definitely be separated.
The other thing you could do it go to another streaming music provider and then turn cellular downloads off. That's what I'm looking at doing.

I have added an extended attribute to IDM 'prefEmail' and would like to display the value on a page.
The context is: I am logged in as User A, and on one of the pages I wish to display the 'prefEmail' value of another user (i.e. their idmManager).
What call should I be making, I have used getObject to obtain the idmManagers 'fullname', but the returned object does not contain the extended attribute.
And Help out there?

Hi Anthony,
If you have to get the details of any user(say manager) you need to first create an object for that user and then only you will be able to access the attributes.
You have first create the user object for the user 'idmManager'.
For creating the user object you can used the method 'getObjectIfExists' or you can do the way you have initialised for the logged in user.

I did this update just the way I've always done updates and had exactly the same problems: none. Unless you tell us what difficulties you had/are having, we can't really comment knowledgeably.
