I am getting "Connection is Untrusted" on good sites all the time now. Why???
All of a sudden today I am have almost all of the sites I visit coming up as "Connection is Untrusted" messages. Why? To the best of my knowledge, nothing has changed. All was fine last evening and today all I get is this error on site after site after site.

Can't load website with .jsp - get blank page? Doesn't happen all the time
When I try to open American Eagle Outfitters website, I get a blank page and it will not open. The site is ending in index.jsp. I have 3 computers and it does it sporatically on all 3. ie. 1 may open the website, 2 won't or 2 might open website and 1 won't or none of the 3 will open. I know this has to be something simple but it has been doing this for about 3 months and it is driving me nuts because I can't get on there to pay my bill or even shop! Help!!
ThanksI'm having the exact same problem! I've been using the website a lot recently, and then just about a week ago the website just wouldn't load. The page would go white and would say "Done" at the bottom of the screen. I tried googling the website to try and go in through there, and I can only seem to enter the site through "Find a Store Near You". Only this page seems to work, and whenever I click on "Women" or "Clearance" or "WishList" or anything else the page just goes white again and won't load. I've googled "websites won't load" and I've tried all the suggested steps and nothing seems to be working. I order off AE all the time and was ready to place an order, which I now can't do because I can't even sign in to the website.

Getting "Could not complete your request" error all the time
Whenever I try to do anything in Fireworks CS6 (CC desktop version) I get the error message "Could not complete your request. An error occurred". The only exception is when I try to preview an image I get "Could not render the database. An error occurred"
This literally happens with any action, from opening a file to changing any attribute of an object (e.g. colour, position, size). Try to draw a new object - same error. Delete one - same error.
Weirdly it does seem to complete the action after I "Ok" the error message.
Any ideas?
I am running this on Mac OSX 10.9.1 on a pretty new MacBook Pro. I've checked for updates and I'm running the latest version. (I'm running the trial version, as I am trying to decide whether or not to switch over to CC from my desktop apps, but I would hope it is the same as the full commercial version)For me the Fireworks stopped when it got to "Intializing Tab Windows", then a crashed and displayed "Could not complete your request. an error occurred" and would never load. BACKGROUND
Just before this happened, I was trying a new feature from within Dreamweaver. While inside Dreamweaver, I could double-click an image file and it opened in my Fireworks to be edited. I thought . . . Wow, this is really cool. I edited that image and closed it and continued on my work. Since then, that "Connection" between applications has become permanent. Fireworks "THINKS" it is still connected to Dreamweaver. Later Fireworks would NOT open/load at. I would always get the above error.
PARTIAL SOLUTION
BTW: I had to do this twice, because the first time, I missed a file somewhere.
I had to completely uninstall all ADOBE applications. I mean everything! I had CS3 & CS4 and Adobe Readers on my system.
Since I'm on the mac, I went through the "Application Support" both user and system and the "Preferences" for both user and system and deleted everything that had either "adobe" or "macromedia" in it. There was also a file in the "Launch Agent & Daemons".
I emptied the trash and did a power off restart. Then I reinstalled CS6. Now Fireworks at least loads and I can use it again, but it still isn't the same.
OBSERVATION
Fireworks and Dreamweaver are still "Connected". It won't save an existing PNG file as itself, it displays an error, "That file is open in another application", which is NOT true. I have to use the "Save As" option, and use the Finder to rename that file. I also notice an extra file labeled ex:0000056 which looks like the file I tried to save.
So at least I can use my Fireworks again although it is irritating. I don't know how to "CUT" the connection between applications. Uninstalling & reinstalling did NOT reset this, the only option left would be a backup, wipe and fresh install of my entire laptop. I just don't have time to do that right now. Hope that helps someone else.

When asked to input my phone number on some online forms (Yelp, donation), a numeric keyboard comes up on my phone. This keyboard has 0-9 characters, + # symbols, and the words "pause" and "wait.". There is no option for parentheses for area code, no hyphen option, no period option and no space option. As a result, numbers run in a single row. I then get the message "Invalid phone number" or "Invalid Format.". The sites then won't allow me to continue. This numeric keyboard is useless. How do I get either a numeric keyboard with the needed features or, better yet, get the alpha-numeric pad we usually see? This seems so weird on Apple's part.

There is no coverage map as such.
I live in what is considered a rural area and had techs driving 60-70 miles one way to get to me, never an issue.
Obviously, YMMV.
In my not-so-modest experience, both onsite and accidental damage upgrades are worth every penny if one intends to keep their ThinkPads for an extended period of time.

I am having a terrible problem trying to get a player to loop and play all the time. Please help

Actually there are two things I use a lot that are not compatible with Firefox 5. I did switch to it and discovered the big problem, so I had to go back to my previous Firefox. One of them that I use constantly for my passwords is Roboform -- I don't remember which one but one of the most recent. I get a box in the middle of my computer about once an hour saying that I should switch to Firefox 5. It is driving me CRAZY. How can I make it stop?
Also, who has to make Roboform and Firefox 5 compatible?Every add-on developer is responsible for updating their add-on as Mozilla releases new versions of Firefox. Check with Roboform for an update for their Firefox add-on.

ACR has worked with every 4.0 extension that I have tried it with on Firefox 5.0 - but there may be some add-ons where it won't work, and the add-on has to actually be modified by the original developer. -

How do I get rid of blurred text happens all the time now in Firefox web browser?
Even when I was registering for this forum the text was blurred and multicolored sometimes. Its very annoying and hard to see. This is all the time with Firexfox. Chrome and IE I have no such issues.
Also when I was taking an assessment test for a job application none of the answers took and I was told by the program that it was probably my browser. I used to use IE and never had any of these issues but changed to Firefox as I was informed that the security was better. All these issues have been frustrating to say the least.

I am so upset because i didn't research enough before upgrading to Lion. I can't use a lot of my pograms i used all the time now. I want to go back to where i was before Lion. Is there a way to do it without costing me more money?
I didn't say the price was necessarily a drawback; just thought I'd throw my two cents in if the OP didn't want to purchase more software (as he/she alluded to in the first post). Even if it's a small cost (in your opinion), the OP said they didn't want to spend any more money. I didn't think about buying it on ebay; but that's a good idea. Just keep in mind that the Parallels free phone support is only good for the first few months after purchasing a new copy, so if you're buying a used copy, you won't get free phone tech support. I think they have per-incident support once the free period is over, though. And they probably have forums you can use to troubleshoot any issues.
Parallels can also cause a slow/laggy OS, which could be seen as a drawback. Of course, you could always purchase more RAM if the computer does lag, but there's another cost. I'm sure it doesn't happen to everyone, but it can happen, that I've seen. Especially if the computer you install it on is an older one that barely meets the Lion system requirements to begin with.
I agree with you; I purchase hardware and software for the future. If my new iMac won't run software from 2004-2008, I guess I'm upgrading. I understand when people don't want to upgrade, but after so many years, it's not really a choice.
I prefer the dual-boot method; it's cleaner (in my experience) than a virtual machine software program, and causes fewer issues with the main OS installation. It's really just preference, though. The OP can try both ways and decide which is preferable for him/her.
What I posted was (as I said in my first post) just my suggestion. I wasn't trying to override what you said about Parallels being the answer; just adding a new answer that I didn't yet see in this thread, in case the OP wanted an alternative. Maybe I mis-read the defensive attitude in your post, and if so, I apologize. But you seemed to be defending something that I wasn't truly even attacking to begin with. I feel that the best choices are the most informed ones, and with more options, the OP can find the best answer for him/her.

Games are very CPU/GPU intensive applications and will heat up the MBP. That will result in the fans increasing speed in order to dissipate the heat. This actually is an expected result and for the type of application, is 'normal'.
I you plan to play a lot of games, consider getting a cooling pad twhich will tend to mitigate the heating.

This "Untrusted Connection" is coming up when I try to access my on-line banking site which I use all the time. I also get a OpenDNS message about Phishing and I'm not sure why or what that is. The same thing is happening on my laptop which has Windows 7.

How are you trying to transfer them? Via Bluetooth? If so, that will not work.
You need to get the contacts from the Casio phone into a supported contact manager on your computer (Address Book/Contacts on a Mac or Outlook on a PC) then sync them to the iPhone via iTunes or iCloud. -

I have a theory. You don’t want to controll your car, you want to controll somebody who is driving the car. Volvo XC 60 is a nice family car, usually used by married men between age of 35-45, probably with small children, so it’s very unlikely that you want to controll your teanage kid, mainly because probably even if you would give him/her to drive the car in the neighborhoud, I don’t think that he/she would be „several hundred miles away”… If your child is not young teneage anymore, and he/she has his/her own life, but you want to control him/her, that is sick… So I am convinced that you want to controll your husband who probably travelling often!
