I am getting no sound from iPod, although works when on dock and when headphones are in. Please help

Does Ford say it will work with the 4G iPod?
Contact them.
Sometimes this works:
- Reset the car system
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
It just may not be compatible.

Hello gokulaan, '''try Firefox Safe Mode''' to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)''
    * You can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * Or open the Help menu and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.
''Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"''
'''''If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode''''', your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article for that.
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.''
''When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help other users who have the same problem.''
    Thank you.

  • I can't get any sounds from my ipod, only through earphones

I can't get any sounds from my itouch. I can only hear through my headphones. I completely reset my itouch and still nothing

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem. I do not know what you meant by "completely reset my itouch".

  • I can't get Buffalo external harddrive (HDS-PH16OU2-US) to work on my new macbook...please help

I do have the new OS X Lion, but the product didn't work on the snow leapard either.  The product manual says it's compatible with mac, but when i install everything, it's still does not work!?!
    Please help
    Thanks
        Matt

This is from the user forums on Buffalo's site:
"The Secure Disk Tool relies on Rosetta which isn't installed by default in Snow Leopard. The kexts are also only available up through 10.5 so there is no way for this to work in 10.6 without an update."
You need to contact Buffalo to find out when (or if) they are going to update their firmware

You have your mute button on.  In Settings check to see if you have Lock Orientation checked or Mute checked on the right hand side.  If you have Mute checked, all you need to do is click the mute button above the volume control buttons on the upper right hand side of your iPad.  If you have Lock Orientation checked in settings, you double click your home button and the most recent apps will appear.  Swipe your finger to the right until the Mute icon appears on the left side.  Touch it and you will unmute system sounds.

How do I get the music from my iPod classic onto my computer if it came from a different iTunes account?

    Hello JLGBone,
It sounds like you are needing to transfer your music from your iPod classic to your computer. The following article will help you transfer your iTunes Store purchases:
iTunes Store: Transfer purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
Any items that are not purchased from the iTunes Store will need to be re imported to the iTunes library manually.

  • Piu...piu....piu...sound from my ipod

I am in big trouble... this is not my own ipod..a friend told me to put songs into the ipod for her. her ipod is a 40gb click wheel.
    here's what happened.
    1. i just formatted my computer, and i need to install itune and the ipod updater from the ipod cd.
    2. when going thru the installation, there's a part where i was told to connect my ipod and initialize it. and i did...
    3. the installation screen freezes...with my computer. i was not able to press anything, there's no response even by pressing altctrldelete trying to get the task manager out. Under this condition, i have to restart my computer by turning off the whole thing..
    4. i unpluged the ipod from the usb.. (i know i am not suppose to do this, but if i don't remove ipod from usb, i can't load into windows)
    5. when i try to connect my ipod back to the usb, there's no response either from my pc or the itune thing.
I tried: uninstalling itune, installing it back again,
trying to restore the ipod, but the ipod updater does not reconize ipod.. and i also tried using a different usb port. nothing worked..
and now.. there's this soft.. "piu...piu...piu..." sound coming out from the ipod.~!!!
please help... this is not my own ipod.. it's my friend, i would probably get killed if i can't fix this.
btw, everything worked fine with my own ipod!

If your own iPod is still recognised it looks like the problem is with the iPod. I assume you have tried resetting the iPod itself.
Put the iPod into forced disk mode and run chkdsk on the drive letter windows allocated to the iPod. If the letter allocated to the iPod is in the range A: - D: (or any other drive letter which is also used by any other device) try changing it to a more sensible drive letter (e.g. I:) in Disk Management.
If the PC cannot recognise the iPod in forced disk mode then it is probably a hardware fault. You could get your friend to try it on their machine just case it is some weird problem with your configuration.
I'd not worry about your friend, they asked you to do this (it's at their risk, not yours).
