I am getting the following message when I try to connect to iMessage on my Macbook Pro: Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again.
Hello,
I am not sure what is going on but I am unable to sign into my iMessage. I am trying to sign in but I keep getting the message: "Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again." I can log into iTunes and all other things that request my Apple ID except the iMessage. I hope someone can help me out.

Having difficulty connecting my Ipad to FaceTime and messages. I've updated the latest software and have WI-FI/3G coverage but it keeps saying: "could not sign in, please check your network connection." Can anyone help?
Have you tried a reset? Hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go.

I have used iMessage on both my iPad and iPhone for successfully, using the same Apple ID. However since I upgraded to IOS 7.0 .4 on my iPhone recently, it has turned off iMessage. When I try to turn it back on again and login with my Apple ID, The message "could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again" appears. I have tried again numerous times. I have tried switching off iMessage on my iPad as well then try and switch on them both back on my iPad works but my iPhone does not. Can anyone help
-Deactivate iMessage on your iPhone
- Reset phone by holding both Home and Sleep buttons for about 10 seconds until Apple logo appears.
- If you have wifi where you are, temporarily disable it.
- Activate iMessage.
Tell us what happens next. -
When I try to activate iMessage it says: could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again.
- Make sure that Settings>General>Date&Time is set to Automatic
- Go to Settings>wifi>the connected network and change the DNS to Google's 8.8.8.8 -
I have checked connectivity via the iPod by using YouTube and Yahoo mail but it still gives me the error message.
Change your DNS to 8.8.8.8 and then re-connect. After having registered, be sure to switch your DNS to the original value or you will find that your internect connection will be very slow ,

Hello like the question says i need help.. i cant log into my imessage..
Imessage, Facetime, Itunes, App Store, Notifications. Nothign on my iPad is working right. I did a Reset of all settings, I changed my DNS as suggested in a post. I tried everything. My iPhone 5 is working perfectly. All the news outlets were surprised that they were releasing the iPad version at the same time. Most said it would be delayed till Oct but Apple said it was ready. I tend to disagree as the problems I have having are isolated to my iPad 3 and NOT my iPhone 5. Real tiresome.

Am from India. when i tried to turn on face time the error displayed is" Could not sign in. Check your network connection and try again". how can it be resolved?
If you are using someone else's WiFi they may have restrictions in place.
(cofee shop, etc..)
Have you tried connecting using at least more than one particular WiFi network ?
You might want to try googling for a bandwidth test site
verify you have reasonable throughput..
1 megabit up and 1 megabit down..
(bandwidthplace.com is what I typically use..) -
when i try to update Ipad 2 the iTunes update server could not be contracted . please check your internet connection or try again later
Let's try the following document with that one.
iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
(If the "Automatically detect settings" checkbox is already checked, try unchecking and rechecking it and clicking OK.) -
