I am getting the message: There is not enough available storage to take a photo. You can manage your storage in Settings. I don't know what to change without losing data, videos or photos. What do I do?
And in general. keep an eye on your storage in Settings => General => About.
Delete old emails when you can, especially those with attachments. Delete old text messages, again especially those with attachments.
Dump old programs that you don't use.
Like razmee said, move pics and videos off your phone when you can. Delete those bad pictures in your camera roll that are just taking up space.
Look for programs like PhoneClean that you can use on your computer that will go in and delete all the cruft that gets left behind by apps that don't close properly.
This will also help your phone run better as well.

The storage you purchased is in the cloud, and doesn't do anything with your pad. Your problem is simply that you have too much content on your pad. Go to settings, general, usage, and it will show you how much space you have avaliable on your pad. If you let the screen sit for a while, all the apps will be displayed, and you can see how much stuff you have associated with each.
You have to no option but to delete some of the content on your pad. Videos, comics, pitcures and some music files use a lot of space. The cloud allows you to leave stuff there, so you can get it when you need it. -
i guess i'm trying to find out how to Back up all my Photos manually ( or other ways ) as i use the camera and videos everyday and many , many ......i don't understand the concept of " Backup to icloud " but i think i could free space in iCloud by just moving pix and vids ???? and i have already purchased more iCloud space.....help ....i'm sinking here ......and please & thank U
You should be importing your pics/videos to your computer as you would a digital camera.

Well, if you don't have enough space, then there's nothing wrong, right?
You can check available space under Settings> General> About or by plugging it into iTunes and looking at the color-coded bar. -

I have the new 16 gb iPhone 3G and am running in to several issues. When I push the camera icon I get the message, "There is not enough room to take additional pictures. Please delete some existing photos." I have removed all of my albums as well as reset the device. I just did a full restore and am still having the same problem.
I have also had a problem with apps shutting down unexpectedly. This happens 1 out of every 3 times I open Safari as well as with a plethora of other programs.
The handset has restarted unexpectedly several times with no warning whatsoever.
Every now and then the on screen keyboard will run absurdly slow. It will take 2 to 3 seconds from the time I push a key for it to show on the screen.
I am also running slow when trying to scroll on a web page as well as when viewing photos, selecting applications, viewing photos, etc.
Have there been any known bugs in the new software/hardware. I am getting a bit frustrated with my new toy. It is embarrassing to show off a new app and then to have it shut down for no reason. Any advice?The Lens/Restart trick doesn't work for me. I tried this and many more hints but the camera stays shut, saying "There is not enough room to take additional pictures. Please delete some existing photos." In German "Kein Platz mehr für die Aufnahme weiterer Bilder. Bitte löschen Sie einige der vorhandenen Fotos." This started when I had the first pictures sychronized from iPhone. Before that, the camera worked just fine. After having some external pictures on my phone, the camera quit working.

From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:

If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again. -
I am trying to install the latest version of itunes and when the install begins I get the message "There is a problem with this Windows installer package. A program required for this install could not be opened. contact your support personnel or product vendor". I ran a troubleshooting diagnostic on my computer and nothing flagged as a problem. I uninstalled iTunes and tried again and now I don't have any way to sync my ipod touch. Please help with any suggestions!!!

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe, and select "Extract to iTunesSetup". WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup".

(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi again.)

Repair your Apple software update.
Go to START > ALL PROGRAMS > Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install
If you don't find ASU, go to Control Panel:
START > CONTROL PANEL/ > Add n Remove Programs, highlight ASU and click CHANGE then REPAIR -

To download/install an app directly to the iPod you need available storage equal to about three times the file download size. Syncing the app to the iPod requires a lot less. Thus you either have to free up more storage or sync the app from your computer.
