Help!!!!!! My wife's iPad will not start up. I updated two nights ago to the latest IOS and today it will not do anything. It is charged and I've tried to access it through itunes to no avail.

Not matter what I do, Firefox 3.6 still will not start

firefox was installing an update and i accidently hit the power button and so it shut down in the middle of the update. after i started my computer again, firefox would not start up. i tried to download it hoping the update would complete but it still would not start up when i clicked on the icon. so i tried to delete it and it would not delete said it was open, so i shut down and restarted the computer. then it deleted using the control panel remove program option. after that i logged onto IE to mozilla.org and downloaded it, afterward it still would not open up or connect to the internet.

It sounds like you've tried to do the right thing- by uninstalling and then reinstalling. I'm hoping that you can look over the steps I usually suggest and see if there is anything different that may help you get a fresh version of Firefox installed.

* Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version.
* Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
* Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

Finder folder with question mark, now will not start at all!!!
Hey guys, I was working in Avid and i opened up Quicktime, all of a sudden i got a crash log. So i restarted, upon restart i got the finder folder with the blinking question mark. I tried restarting with the OS9 cd by holding down the C button, no luck there. So i moved onto the next step, resetting the PRAM, no luck there (just sat on black for numerous minutes until i let up, then the folder came back). Then I moved onto resetting th PMU, now it will not start up at all. I restart, and all i see is a black screen, nothing. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

1)system crashed restarted and got the folder with the ?
2) tried to boot from the OS 9 CD no luck? it did not boot?
3)reset pram and still the flashing ?
4) Reset the PMU chip and the mac is dead won't start up at all?
a couple of ideas too...
did you press the pmu button more than once?
Check to make sure the power cord is plugged in correctly etc.
Check the Pram battery to see if it might be dead it should read between 3.3v and 3.7v
also try to restart the computer without other devices plugged into it (USB Firewire, keyboard, even monitor.

I have tried restoring the ipod on different computers, one Vista, and one 7. On both, the restore process seems to complete just as it should, until the point where it says "your IPOD will now restart and will appear in listed devices. This IPOD never restarts. The Apple logo just stays on for approximately 30 seconds and then the screen turns off for five or ten seconds and the logo comes back on, over and over for approximately forty five minutes or so, Occasionally the "connect to USB" will come back on, but that is rare. When that does happen, the I-Tunes recognizes it again as an IPOD that needs to complete the restore process. VERRRRRY AGGRAVATING!!!
Time for an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. It appears you have a hardware problem.

My itunes is making me crazy. I have updated to IOS 6 on my phone from my friends computer. Then I had to also restore it. I tried re connecting to my computer but the itunes just says that it is not compatable. I tried turning the phone on and off. Restarting it and the computer. I am planning to replace my 3+ year old MacBook Pro with a new MacBook Pro, Retina display... I have been told by "chat" on the Apple site that I can transfer my data wirelessly... on my network.. Is is a good option? I don't want to invest in cables if I can help it... since the old machine has firewire and the new one has thunderbolt! Will the wireless transfer take forever... as in 30-50 hours??? I've been hearing these horror stories...

Have you looked at the settings in iTunes. Is music syncing manual or automatic. More info please. I would try removing all restrictions as an initial test.
