I am hacked on all my apple devices. How to solve the issue? Please help!
Hi everyone,
So whenever I open certain websites on Safari, suddenly I am redirected to either a women's health or a doctor's ad. (I am guessing this is called phishing)
1)I've asked my friends if they've had the same problem with those certain sites and they replied no. Does this mean it is about my network? (I am the only one using this network at my home as I live alone)
2)This happens on all my Apple devices including iPad and iPhone (when I tried to open the same website on my İphone while using mobile data, the problem did not happen- when I opened wifi on my phone it happened. same for iPad as well)
Admedic said there were no adware, I have never changed my DNS so it has always stayed the way it always was also. So I am guessing my network is the problem. (I am also guessing that this happened after I tried to watch a movie free online) BUT, this problem does not occur with Google Chrome on the same website. So is this about my network or my safari?
I am now so scared if this person who hacked me gets all my information. What am I supposed to do? Please help!

A few things happened since I've posted this.
1)I've deleted all the history and cookies from my macbook safari and when I opened the website with the issue, the problem did not happen this time.
2)Seeing this, I've deleted my history on iPhone's safari and opened the same website but the problem was there again.
3)The problem does not happen on iPad.
So, I do not have the problem at all on Google Chrome but on Safari (now just on iPhone)
Is this still about my router settings? If so would changing my phone DNS settings would suffice? Or do you think the problem might still remain on my computer as well?
This is so frustrating for a person who does not know anything about technology at all

The "edit in" menu is completely inactive. All plug-ins are visible but in light grey; i.e. not accessible. Any idea how to solve the issue? Fyi: I am using LR 5.7.1 on MacBook with Mawericks.
Jim, that sounds like a good hypothesis. Yes, I am using smart previews. I have my originals on an external drive which is connected. Still, LR can not find them. Do you know how to tell LR where to find the originals? I would like LR to identify the source automatically: if external drive is connected LR should show "original and smart preview" not only "smart preview". Thanks for your help.

Why are all my Apple devices not connecting to the web?
I have an Airport express and has been working fine up until recently. Now none of my Apple devices are connecting to the web. They all find the network no problem and all connect however they will not connect to the internet. The strange thing is that our Windows laptop works fine but absolutly nothing from Apple, this includes a 2011 MacBook pro, iphone 3gs, ipod touch, Apple tv and 2x 2nd gen ipads. I have reset the airport and set up a new network, it worked for one day and is back to how it was. Any advice would be great
I seem to be having a similair issue. I have an AirPort Extreme and my iMac connects fine but now my Kindle and Netflix are unable to connect to the Internet? They see my network but just can't connect to the internet?
I used to have my cable modem connected to a Vonage phone router, which then connected to my Airport. Everything worked fine then. I recently canceled my Vonage service and removed the phone router. Now my cable modem is connected directly to my Airport. Did removing the phone router casue my problem? Do I need to re-set something to get my kindle and Netflix to work again? -
My Apple devices wont download apps anymore. Please help!
I have the iPod Touch 5th generation and iPad 2nd generation. Since about a week ago, I haven't been able to download any apps on either device. In the app store, I'll tap 'Install', it'll ask for my apple ID, the usual. It loads untill it say 'Open' (still in the app store), but when you tap 'Open' nothing happens. When you go to the home screen, you'll see that the app actually didn't download and is no where to be found. Both devices are up to date on software updates (iOS 7.1.2) and iCloud backups. I have tried logging in and out of my iTunes account. I have never had this problem before (I've had my iPod for over a year and the iPad for 6 months). PLEASE help if you can! I really need this fixed as soon as possible. Thanks in advance!
Try the following on one device. If it's successful, do the same for the other.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
You will have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.
No data is lost due to a reset. -
my boyfriend send me an iphone 4s from canada last march 2012. my problem is the wifi button of my 4s doesnt work since May this year. unfortunately here in the philippines there's no apple service center available.help me what to do so that i can use wifi again from my fone. thanks alot!

If those do not help, your iPhone may well need service. You will not be able to get a Canadian iPhone serviced by Apple in the Philippines. You will need to send the iPhone back to your boyfriend or someone else in Canada who can get it serviced there and then send it back to you.

My ipod touch will not detect any wifi signals but others devices such as my laptops; do connect without a problem. I restored my ipod and updated it and still no wifi signals are being detected.
Go to your ipod touch wireless settings chose your network and right beside there is button looks like ">" click on that check the dhcp what IP are you getting? do you get any ip? if you do your ipod touch should work with wireless no problem. ThanksDeleting an iCloud account only deletes it from the Device, not from iCloud. In iOS 8, the name of this setting changed to "Sign Out" as that is a better reflection of what actually happens. Your iCloud data remains on the server, available to devices still signed into the account, but the device you sign out of the account on is disconnected from the account, and as a result, the iCloud data from that account is removed from the device. It will redownload to the device should you sign back into the account.
The only issue you'll run into when you switch between accounts is with my photo stream photos older than 30 days. When you delete (or sign out of) and account, your photo stream photos are deleted along with the other data from the account in question. However, unlike other data which remains on the server and can redownload to your device when you sign back in, my photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days. When you sign back in, you will only get back my photo stream photos added in the last 30 days (as older photos are no longer in iCloud to redownload). Like other account data, any my photo stream photos on your other devices signed into the account are unaffected by this. If you want to keep older my photo stream photos on your device as you change iCloud accounts, save them to your camera roll before deleting (signing out of) the account. -
Why do all my other Apple devices not care if the movie I rented from iTunes if it was downloaded directly to that device or not, but the stupid Apple TV won't allow you to play rented movies unless you rented it directly from the Apple TV?
Great, so now I have to airplay it by linking my computer to my Apple TV and then the movie has to buffer! So, all that time I spent downloading the HD video has to technically "download" again by buffering. The more I use Apple TV, the more I feel like this item was not created by Apple. I don't even use it for what I originally purchased it for. If I would have known that anytime I wanted to sync a movie from my computer to Apple TV by using airplay that it would have to buffer the movie, I would have never ever ever ever ever purchased this waste of time device. So the video has to technically play all the way through one time first so Apple TV can "remember" the movie to play it back in real time afterwards.
Am I missing something here? Am I doing something wrong that can be fixing my problem? I should have known that the Apple TV had so many things backwards when simple things like when you are using the remote and you reach the bottom of your list, in order to cycle back to the top of your list you have then press the directional buton back the other way rather than most modern day devices that will automatically cycle you back to the top or to the other side when you reached the bottom or end but keep on pressing the button. That **** annoys me when I am doing a search for a movie and have to type the name in manually and have to cycle back and forth to the letters. It makes me feel like I am using a rotary phone or something!I was told by someone to try and purchase something directly from my Apple TV and that will help authorize my Apple TV. So I picked something that was free and it downloaded.
Then I went back to the Movie that would not work and it played just fine.
So it seemed to work. I will have to try it on other movies and TV shows later. -
I have 3 apple devices and I use the same apple ID for all 3. I would like to create a new I'd for one of my devices, but do not want to loose the apps on that device. Anyone know how I can do this?
Create a new ID:
On the iPod go to
- Settings>Messages>Send and receive and sign out your ID and sign into the other one. Make sure that only her ID email address is listed.
- Settings>FaceTime sign out of your ID and sign into the other one. Make sure that under You can be reached at only the newID email address is listed
- Settings>iCloud and sign out and sign in with the new one
- Settings>iTunes and App Store and sign out your ID and sign in with the new one.
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account. -
My iPad Mini with retina display suddenly will not connect to the Internet. It shows full wifi bars, yet no web pages will load. My Internet is working with all other apple devices in my house. The iPad also no longer works with celluar data. I'm not sure what has happened. It was working fine a few hours ago. I have tried resetting it, ive restarted my browser etc. I tried to erase all data from my Ipad but I can't do that because it needs to sign into my Apple ID and use the Internet!
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

Can I switch all my apple devices to one account ...
and still access songs, books or programs that were purchased with the abandoned accounts?
If I permanently switch accounts on all my apple devices (iPad, MacBook Pro, iPhone, iMac, 2 iPods, Apple TV, Airport Express) to align with one account for iTunes, Mobile me, Apple Store, iCloud, and so on will I still be able to use items (songs, programs, books....) that were purchased under a different or abandoned account?
I understand that for some good reason Apple will not consolidate accounts.I have this same issue. If you have had your Apple ID for a long time, there used to be a setting that indicated the frequency in which it would force a reset. The switch to change that frequency is no longer part of the Apple ID management website. I read online that calling Apple could help - that they would reset it for you. I tried that a couple of months ago last time it happened. They told me that next time I should just put in the same password three times and it would all be over. However, when I tried that tonight, it wouldn't accept a password which had been previously used. Like you, I have a bunch of devices and an Apple TV - painful.

How do I delete my existing iCloud account (across ALL my apple devices), and start over from scratch??
(cant seem to get calendars to ever sync right, on my devices, and across to my wifes'....so want to start with a "clean installation")Settings>icloud, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Delete Account (this disconnects the device from icloud but doesn't delete any data on icloud or on other devices).
If you then want to sign back in using a different ID, do so on the same screen.
I also strongly suggest that you and your wife use different icloud accounts, otherwise all your devices will have the same data on them, same emails, reminders, etc. Most likely not what you want. -
