I AM HAVIN MANY PROBLEMS WITH MY IPOD PLEASE READ AND HELP

I can't import movies on my iPod or even get it to show up on iTunes please help and respond if you know how to fix this problem.

you may need to convert the videos to a format appropriate for the ipod to see them .which are .mov or .mp4 video files. to do this you will ened to convert the videos using a 3rd party software that is not suported by apple. windows users have had either trouble or success using this software.
To use Videora iPod Convertor to convert movies for use on your iPod, consult these helpful links:

  • IPhone 3GS with iOS 5 and storage space/app problems... Please read and help

I have an iPhone 3GS with iOS 5. Before the update I had a load of apps etc and was left with approx 4gb space left. Since the update removed ALL my apps from my iPhone, I still have the same ammount of space. Why is this?

    Hi,
Are you sure your phone has not been unlocked or jailbroken at some time as the same thing happened to me.
I had the phone secondhand and did not know. Updating to IOS 5 locked the phone back to the original service provider which was AT&T in USA and I am in UK.
    Hope this helps,
    Alan

After you click on "Add a Printer", do you select "Add a Network, Wireless, or Bluetooth Printer"?
If that doesn't work, there should be a way to connect by specifying the IP address of your AirPort Express.

  • ITunes does not detect my iPod-- please read and help?!

I tried all the help Apple told me to do. I reset my iPod(didn't work) and then I downloaded the newest version of iTunes. That didn't work either. My iTunes still does not detect my iPod. The newly downloaded iTunes was at least supposed to tell me that my iPod was "corrupted" but it didn't. So... I'm not sure that it is. But that is the only reason Apple tells you could cause this. So yeah, I'm pretty lost right now! Does anybody know anything to help(by the way, I own a 5th generation iPod nano)? Thanks

Take a look at this web page and see if it helps. Some of the suggestions are ones you say you've already tried, but there are other suggestions, one of which may help:
iPod missing in "My Computer" or in iTunes on Windows
    Good luck.

  • Many Problems with new iPod

It all started out when I got my nice shiny new iPod. I installed the latest 64 bit version of iTunes and connected my new iPod. First thing iTunes told me was that the iPod was corrupt and needed to be restored. I thought no big deal. The iPod is new with nothing on it so I had nothing to lose. The iPod was stuck in restore mode for about 8 hours and I gave up. I rebooted the computer and reconnected the iPod. Now iTunes could not see the iPod.
You may need to know that this computer is a newer Dell Studio XPS running the 64 bit version of Windows 7 Home Premium.
I followed all of the recommended solutions on the page for Windows not seeing an iPod. When it came to reinstall iTunes is when the real challenge started. Lots of problems with not being authorized to write some registry keys and iTunes would roll back the installation. Each time I installed iTunes I installed as Administrator. I had to jump through all of the hoops of deleting these registry keys what would not delete. I installed several times, each time deleting a new registry key that the installer would not overwrite. After 2 days I finally got iTunes reinstalled.
However iTunes would still not see the new iPod. Messed around with this for another few hours.
I have an old computer that I seldom use. This is an older Dell Dimension running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3. It had an old version of iTunes. I thought I would try getting the iPod to work on this computer. This would at least tell me if there was a problem with the iPod itself. I updated the iTunes to the latest version. Connected the iPod. It was seen but said the iPod was corrupt. Did a restore and all appeared to work fine. So this tells me the problem is not with the iPod, but with iTunes on the other computer.
I went to my other computer, the one that I want to use iTunes on, and reconnected the iPod. It was seen this time but iTunes said that the iPod was corrupt and needs to be restored. I started the restore process. It has been restoring for over 10 hours now.
I really don't want to start over with all of the problems I had reinstalling iTunes.
Anyone have some suggestions on what to try next?

Made some progress during my lunch break. I started suspecting a problem with the USB driver for this iPod. I found KB article 1538 which was helpful.
I went to the device manager and deleted anything that looked like an Apple device and deleted all USB mass storage devices. I also deleted the device drivers for these items at the same time. I then scanned for hardware changes and the iPod was found.
The iPod is now seen in Windows Explorer. It still has the name I gave it when it was connected to my other PC. So I suspect the restore that was taking over 10 hours never had a chance to start. From Windows Explorer I was able to access some folders on the iPod.
iTunes would still not see this iPod. However I hope a reboot will solve this.
Ran out of time and needed to go back to work. I will update how this worked.

  • Weird Problem With My Ipod. Can you help?

I'm having a weird problem with my ipod and I hope someone here can help. I have a Nano, 4 GB. I got it back in June, so I haven't even had it 6 months yet. Ever since I "updated" the software, it hasn't worked right. It kept freezing on me and saying I had no songs on it. Finally when I reset it through iTunes and loaded brand new songs in it, it froze half way loading. I loaded it for a 3rd time and now it's making a weird alarm sound for no apparant reason. The buttons are stuck and I can't shut it off. It just keeps making this sound and it won't stop. When I reset it by holding menu & select, it resets, is fine for about 20 seconds, then starts back with this alarm. Is there anyone that can help me with this?

    Mine was the similar condition.
When I reset iPod nano by holding menu & select, it resets, is fine for about 20 seconds, then starts back to the screen of black and white state.
    It keeps endless loop.
It happened on the way of iPod nano firmware update to 1.1.1. from 1.0.2.
Instead of completing firmware updated, the above symptom happend in my case.
I could exit the above condition by pressing both of SELECT &
    PLAY button 5-10 seconds long.
    It manually change DISK Mode.
The following subject was useful for me.

  • Many problems with new iPod nano

I had an iPod Mini for a year, and never had any problems with it. Last month, I bought a Nano (4 GB), and I've already had several problems. Has anyone else experienced these issues?
    1. When I jog with it (which is very often), it often skips.
    2. Several times the purchased music has stopped playing altogether. When I try to play purchased songs, they just skip directly to the next song. The problem is temporarily solved when I restore my Nano, but it then resurfaces within 2 or 3 days- and I have to restore it again. Bottom line, it's a recurrent issue.
    3. In the last 3 days, I can't turn off my Nano (it has nothing to do with the "hold" switch being out of place). It operates otherwise normally, but nothing happens when I hold down the "play/pause" button. I tried resetting it and restoring it, but the problem isn't solved.
I can't seem to find any good references in the Troubleshooting tips Apple has posted.
Thanks for any help that you may be able to give me on solving any of these 3 issues.

Numbers 1 and 2 may be related. The iPod nano will not skip just because you are jogging (it does not have a harddrive).

  • If you have problems with your ipod turning off and charging look at this..

I have to send in my 80gb ipod video because I am having problems with the battery,I charge it until it says charged and in ten min it shuts off and when I try to turn it on it says that there is not enough battery life to even turn on so i called it in and they told me that I have short battery life and that I have to send it in and they will fix it...If anybody out there has the same problem call it in and they will replace it...and if you don't have the number here it is:1-800-275-2273

hey man I'm glad they replaced it...but if you look
most of the problems are with the battery or the hard
drive...I know that people make mistakes and I do not
expect it to be perfect, but some people expect for it
to be working perfect...and those people tell other
people that there product was defective, and that's
    how Apple loose customers..I didn't say I was Mad...I
don't know why your getting mad, I'm sorry if I
offended you, I was just trying to give Apple advice
    sorry.
Not true, most problems are with software, then with the earphone jack I quote from a letter that I recieved from a service manager that I worked with several years ago who wrote me two weeks ago and I am quoting. "Although the percentage is small it seems that if I had to put it into words I would say that software glitches seem to be the number one problem with the earphone jack a close second. Although both are not a major percentage. All in all it is a great product." Not mad,and sure that Apple will be far better off with your advice. Maybe they will move up from the number one maker of the number one mp3 player in the world and make some serious money with it now that they have it. But be advised that they do not monitor this for advice. You might want to try here http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipod.html
and I will run out and buy more stock.

  • Problem with new iPod software update and Robi DAB radio

There seems to be a compatability issue between my iPod Classic and my Robi DAB radio attachment. The DAB radio was working just fine until last week, when I downloaded the latest iPod software updates. Since then, the Robi works fine when it is used as a remote control for the iPod, but when it is used in radio mode, the iPod shuts down after a few minutes (as though it does not recognise that the radio is still attached, and thinks that there is no activity) and the Robi closes down too (due to lack of battery power when the iPod is no longer on). It could be a coincidence, but my guess is that the iPod updates are causing a problem.
I have tried to remove the new software updates from the iPod, ie I deleted the latest updates from the iPod software updates file (C/Documents and Settings/user name/Application data/Apple Computer/iTunes/iPod Software updates), unchecked the box labelled "automatically check for software updates", and then tried to restore the iPod using the old software. At that point, a message from iTunes appeared, to the effect that it could not go any further due to no internet connection. I could not find any way of restoring the iPod without letting iTunes download the current sortware updates.
So the question is, does anyone else have a similar compatability problem (with the Robi or anything else) and how can I get the iPod to run on the previous software?
I would be very grateful for any advice, as this is a very frustrating problem.
    Sue

The good news is that I removed the most recent iPod software update, restored the iPod (ie returned it to factory settings and reloaded all 14500 songs) and now I am really pleased to say that the iPod and the Robi are working together again in harmony, which is a huge relief.
    Since I had inadvertently deleted the previous version of the iPod software from my PC, I had to download the files from here;
    http://rapidshare.com/files/73863240/1.0.3.zip.html
I have contacted Roberts Radio about this problem. The recent 1.1 software update must be even more frustrating for them, since they have sold lots of Robi radios.
    If anyone needs help to revert to the previous iPod software, have a look at this thread, where the instructions are printed in red;

  • Still problems with the Ipod Nano 3g and the Nike+ kit??

I thinking about buying an Ipod Nano and the Nike+ kit tomorrow but now I'm a bit unsure due to some of the problems mentioned here in this forum? Do you still have problems with the commuication between the Nano and the sensor? Are there still problems wtih the distance being wrong or only in km? Should I buy - if possible - a Ipod Nano 2G?
    Regards
    Morten

Personally I am very happy with my new iPod Nano. It works great with Nike Plus and I love the video and some of the cool features like stopwatch and more. I have an earlier iPod Nano and I was hesitant to buy the new one but I am so glad I did. I don't have any problems uploading data.

  • Ipod problem... someone anyone please read and help

    Hi all,
I have an older 3rd generation ipod (ipod with dock) 20 GB as well as windows XP. I had an older version of itunes that erased my ipod; however I downloaded the latest version of itunes and updated my ipod software this morning. I plugged the ipod back into my computer and when i checked in "my computer" it still showed that the songs were in the hard drive (~14 GB) so i got excited and when i safely removed the ipod they were not in the display. So i plugged the ipod back in and itunes 7.3.2 created a playlist in my name and loaded surprise surprise a playlistwith 6GB of random songs... So now itunes views my ipod as full and i only see 6GB of music instead of what it should be 14 GB. I hope this doesnt sound crazy. If someone knows what this is please reply. Thank you so much
I tried to reset my ipod and that didnt work..
    THANKS IN ADVANCE

  • Big problem with Flash Player - please read.

So i just got a new computer, and everything's fine. I get Avast, Spyware Terminator, and start going back to my usual.
I then go play a game, and it says I need a plugin, of course, Flash Player.
I click the button and go to install it: In the end, Spyware terminator blocks the downloading process with a warning message: A trojan was discovered in the download process. So everyone, if you have any problems with flash player, lowering your defenses and so on has a high chance of increasing the problem. Avoid downloading it (for now) and try to find an earlier version.

  • Everyone please read and help me with this...

ok so about a year ago i installed iTunes on my computer and had a couple hundred songs downloaded. about half of them were bought out of iTunes. I had them all onto my iPod nano. Then a few weeks later my computer crashed. The hard drive "died" as you can call it. I have recently bought a new computer with Windows XP and we will soon be getting an upgrade to Vista.
    I have two questions...
1). does anyone remember about the online live support we used to get from live apple representatives? it was instant messaging with the representatvies and they would help you with your problems. Does anyone know if that still exists? and if it does could you please give me a link to that site?
2). Is there any possible way for me to take the songs i have on my iPod and put them into my new library?
please everyone i need all the help i can get...ive lately been playing all my songs from a speaker system i bought that would connect with my iPod...i would like them to be on my computer...

  • Problem with replacement iPod - please help!

I just got a new replacement iPod and when I plug it into my computer to transfer my songs, the Updater pops up to restore the iPod, but then it says it can't do anything because the iPod is locked by another program. What can I do? Right now it still says "Do not disconnect."

Do not remove the iPod while do not disconnect shows.
Try using the windows device removal "safely remove hardware" icon in the system tray. If this doesn't work shutdown the PC and when it is powered down remove the iPod and reset it.
start up the PC and run the Updater, do not connect the iPod until the Updater prompts you to do so. If the Updater cannot see the iPod start over, but put the iPod into disk mode before you connect when prompted by the iPod.
