I am having a problem with ICLOUD. Help!
I am having a problem with my icloud. So here is the story. I had iphone 4. My contacts were backed. Someone stole my iphone. I got a new iphone 4s. My contacts did not sync from my previous iphone 4. so someone told me to restore to iphone 4 backup. I did. And wow! i got all my contacts back. I want all my contacts to be saved. And i don't want to lose them, it took me a while to build this list properly. With email and number and address.
Here is what i tried so far, i backed up from itunes to computer, then backup to icloud, then I did from my phone, i turned the contact switch on also, and the swtich on to back up to icloud. When I go to icloud.com. it's not there. If anyone can help me with this issue I would appreciate it. because i have a lot of contacts, and I need to save them in a way, I won't ever lose them.
You would need to backup into icloud again also if you have enough room to backup. If not purchase more icloud backup or backup to itunes. Sync your contacts back to your email where they will always be.

I'm having a problem with iCloud and mail.
My account says I've used up my free 5gb. 2.1 gb was in mail. I went into my iCloud account online and deleted all of the email message as I don't use it for my mail. It still shows this as 2.1 gb of used space within mail. I have no idea how to fix this. Anyone have any ideas?

Uhm... set it up? I have had this iCloud mail account for years and I've been using Mail as the app nearly as long. This mail account was MobileMe before iCloud and something else before that. All I did today was update my OS from Snow Leopard to Mt. Lion.
IAC, what I ended up doing was: (1) disable the iCloud account in the accounts list of the Mail app and then (2) set up a new account in the Mail app with all the same values, and (3) delete the old/disabled account.
I don't know what it was unhappy with before that -- everything I set up in the 'new' account was exactly the same as the old one — but it seems to have worked. -
I changed my apple I'd but the App Store and iCloud are still using my old ID. What do I do to get them to use my new Id?
An iCloud acount is tied to the Apple ID, if you have created a new Apple ID then you will need to create a new iCloud account.

All content that you bought using the old Apple ID is forever tied to that ID can only be redownloaded, updated and access using that Apple ID. Apple does not transfer content from one ID to another and Apple does not merge Apple IDs.

this is all greek to me. WHAT IS STARTTLS? On the first page of Apple set up there is a TLS certificate and it is marked NONE- should I change it to the long APPLE CERT option? The next page under ADVANCED: THERE IS A BOX SSL MARKED. Then IMAP Path Prefix - I put stmp.gmail.com.. is that right? Port 993 can use this one? as 456 doesn't work and 587 said it wasn't safe. Under AUTHENTICATION I used PASSWORD. Should I have used external client cert TLS?

I am having major problems with my track pad on my macbook pro. Even though my settings haven't changed...my trackpad is no longer responding as it did before. The left hand corner no longer clicks when I press it and my personal commands which I set up in preferences no longer seem to be workin. Please help!
Some websites have an internal mute or volume setting. If that's not the issue, see below.
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data...
and confirm. Close the window. Then select
▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced ▹ Delete All...
In the sheet that opens, check the box marked
Delete All Site Data and Settings
then click Delete Data. Close the preference pane. -

My daughter's older Ipod Touch is having a problem with images becoming pixilated when taken from an e-mail and placed into her camera roll. ( She wants to put on Instagram ) Any help?
I think that may be a consequence of the email provider she is using. Some services (AOL is one example) inspect and modify email attachments, particularly photos, resulting in reduced resolution compared to the email that was sent.
The iPod does not do this. The resolution of the picture in the email she receives will be identical to what is imported. -

Have you tried the restart/reset/restore troubleshooting path? That would be the best initial set of steps to take, particularly in a situation like this.
