I am having a small problem ( Or so it seems. )

I have bought a 2.1 I-Trigue L3800 system as well as a I-Trigue 3400 system. On the websites, it says that the L3800 is far better then the 3400. However, it sounds as if the subwoofer on the 3400 was MUCH more powerful then the L3800 ( On bass level 5, it was WAY more loud then the L3800's 5 ). Is my system faulty? Or is it perfectly normal?

I did a fair test, and the 3400 still had more powerful bass. It is due to the possible reason that the L3800 only shows its capabilities at higher volume? Or is it due to the lateral transducer, which makes it surround-like?

Setting up Ex-SATA drive on MBP for FCP....having a small problem

Hi Forum, it's me again... I just got my new MBP and built up my new Firmtech SATA drive for storage.
I've tried this question on the macbookpro forum, but no one wants to seem to answer it.
I'm having a stupid little problem: I can't figure out how to "drag" the file into the Drive window to set up the RAID. The flippin' trackpad (set for dragging and double clicking in Pref's) just highlights the drives in the main image window, and won't allow me to pick up and move the drive to set up the RAID...can anyone advise what I'm doing wrong? I've tried the keeping the finger on the trackpad after second click, just can't seem to get it to drag....and drop.
is this a "finesse" issue?? Thanks..

Let's try two things:
1) Make sure that you are trying to drag the correct drive into the RAID. You should be dragging the drives that are indented slightly in the Disk Utility window. Make sure that you select the "drive" that is your firmtek array, then go to the RAID tab, then drag the drives listed below the Firmtec array in the left window.
2) Sometimes I find it easier to drag using the two handed method. Position the pointer over the drive, click and hold with the button, drag on the pad with your other hand and drop.
Try these and post back.

I'm having a small problem when trying to restore my macbook to the factory settings without the disk

Hey, everyone. Just a quick question. I know that to reset a macbook to it's factory settings without the disk you press the OPTION key during startup; however, when you do so, apparently you see 2 hard drives and one says "recovery." When I do it, I only see one hard drive that does not say recovery. Any one know why this could be? Thanks so much for any help offered.

I have 10.8 installed on this computer...I know it didn't come with it, it came with Snow Leopard....Anyway I've updated it, and when I boot if I press and hold the Option key, it still just boots off the drive. The only way I can get it to spring to life and do anything else is to press and hold Command + R in which case it then goes to the recovery option with the ability to restore OS X...Am I missing something??

Having a small problem with my KA790GX Mobo

Hi guy"s I have recently picked up a KA790GX and when I did the initial build I had installed 4X1gig Crucial Balistix DDR2 1066
The computer would not boot, I tried
1 stick booted fine
2 sticks booted fine
3 sticks booted fine
4 sticks would not boot
I flashed the mobo to the latest BIOS 1.6 with the same result"s.I would like to use all 4 stick"s
Can you help?

Nope...don't think that's the problem. My random ints are only 3 possible nums ...0,1, or 2. I have an if for each possible condition. Therefore, nothing "else" can really happen. No?

Small problem

I am very new to java, and having a small problem:
When i click on a button, i want the buttons name to be displayed
in a text field, saying "You have pressed" then the name of the button.
but i want to do this with multiple buttons and not just one button, so i want to be able to press any button and its name to be displayed in a text field.

Some small problems with my new 3G iPhone

Having some small problems with my new iPhone, nothing major, just annoying.
1. When I plug my iPhone in to charge/sync my Adobe photoshop keeps trying to download the photos on my iPhone, which causes an error message from Adobe that it can't download and it stops all syncing and removes my iPhone from iTunes. I have to unplug and reinsert USB cable and sometimes it works ok and sometimes I have to reinsert again. Also when charging, it will disconnect, reconnect and the samething all over again, photoshop trying to get photos and an error message.
2. Can't send e-mails via 3G? Only can get, have to connected to a WiFi to send e-mails, or is this normal?

When your iPhone includes photos in the Camera Roll, it is also detected as a digital camera when connected to your computer, and whichever app you have selected to import photos will automatically launch to import the photos. If you haven't imported these photos, it is a good idea to do so as with any other digital camera. I import the photos followed by deleting the photos from the iPhone after the import process is complete. If I want any of the imported photos available on my iPhone for viewing, I add the photos to an existing album that is selected to be transferred to my iPhone under the Photos tab for my iPhone sync preferences, or add the photos to a new album followed by selecting the album under the Photos tab followed by a sync.
If your iPhone's Camera Roll does not include any photos that have not been imported, Adobe Photoshop should not launch automatically when your iPhone is connected.
I know how to disable the selected application for photo import from launching automatically regardless with a Mac, but not with Windows.
Regarding the sending email problem, who is the email account provider and does the email account provider have an authenticated SMTP server?
Most ISPs block the use of SMTP servers that are outside of their network or not provided by the ISP being used for your internet connection unless the SMTP server is authenticated. When connected to the internet via AT&T's cellular network, it is no different in this regard. AT&T's SMTP server is included and available by default for use with an email account that does not have an authenticated SMTP server when connected to the internet via AT&T's cellular network, but you probably won't be able to use this SMTP server for sending messages with the account when connected to the internet with your ISP via an available wi-fi network - especially if the email account is provided by your ISP.
I access two email accounts with the iPhone's mail client and both accounts have an authenticated SMTP server. I've never had any problems sending with either account regardless the ISP being used for an available wi-fi network, or when connected via AT&T's cellular network.

Small problem led to big problem

I had a few contacts that existed on my Centro which did not exist on my desktop. So I contacted the Palm Chat Support. The person who helped me had me perform several things which eventually led to my phone getting stuck in a loop. Things were not getting better so I asked to be transferred to a supervisor. The supervisor told me the only solution was a hard reset. I finally agreed to this. Now when I reinstall any applications (not third-party) such as calendar or address book, my phone won't come on. I can see the calendar or the address book but when I go to turn on the phone, it goes back into the endless loop. A soft reset will not take it out of the loop, only a hard reset. When I do a hard reset, I then have the ability to use the phone again but I have no data in my calendar, address book, etc. So essentially I have either a PDA or a Phone--but I can't have both. This started as a very small problem (a few missing contacts which I could have probably/should have probably just manually entered into the desktop). Now I have a very big problem, simply b/c of what I was directed to do by Support. Is there any hope?

There could be to issues going on here that you are having this result. One thing could be corrupted data such as your contacts or calendar, the other could be corrupted programs that are coming back from a hotsync.
The first I would like to troubleshoot as it is the easiest. To fix this what we need to do is hard reset your device. The instructions to do that is here http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/common/article/887_en.html this tells you how to do all types of resets. Also, what we need to do is rename your backup folder. What this folder is, it hold all your programs from the last time you synced your PC. On your computer go here

My Computer--> C drive --> Program files --> Palm/PalmOne--> your hotsync username
Palm Desktop 6.2.2
My Documents/Documents --> Palm OS Desktop --> your hotsync username
Right click on your backup folder and rename it to "backupOld". Resync your device to the same user name and you will get all your contacts, calendar, tasks, and memos.
You can install the programs again but make sure they are compatible with the device. Also try one program again and wait 24 hours to see if the same thing happens again. This way you know what program is causing the issue.

I'm also had problems with Iphone 5 , it read no sim card, i solved problem by removing sim card and cleaning with alcohol and q-tip and installing back.
Shut down phone.
On the side of phone , you will see a small pin hole, insert paper clip and sim card will come out, be careful to do it over a clean towel as not to let drop on floor, make sure your hands clean while doing this.
Insert sims card back and turn on, it should work again.

iTunes is a mess! It couldn't find it's own libraries and I was forced to create a new one. Now I don't know where my music is or if any's missing.

HT6030 Having major Mail problems since I updated Maverick on my 27" iMac. Delays deleting emails and moving emails to other folders. Anyone else having this issue? If so, any known fixes?

I have an iMac that around 3 years old. Just installed Mavericks when it first was released. I also have a Time Capsule (2TB) that runs my network to my other three Apple devices: iPad2, iPhone 5s and a new Apple TV. Having major Mail issues here. Everything is very delayed and extremely slow. Moving emails to other folders sometimes takes a few minutes and the same goes for deleting emails. Delete them and they don't go into the trash for several minutes. It's getting very frustrating to say the least. Mail also quits very often. Mail also will freeze with the little color ball spinning, therefore I would have to force quit Mail. When the errors occur, it's automatically sent to Apple but there hasn't been an update since 10.9.1 that has fixed it. Apparently, that update was only for gmail issues. Anyone having the same problem? Fixes please?

I have my entire network and all Apple devices setup as IMAP, not POP. If your settings are setup as a POP account on all devices, emails will not erase when deleted on your other devices. Just something to keep in mind. I'm sure you're aware of this but just wanted to throw it out there. Google IMAP vs POP. However, it seems like your having the same issues as I am. I'm going to swing by an Apple store by me and speak to the genius bar and see if they can come up with something or are aware of this issue. Keep you posted.

I will edit, save, and then realize once i've sent it to myself to test the color is WAY off. This only happens in photoshop. I've read some forums and have tried different things, but it seems to be making it worse. PLEASE HELP! Even viewing the saved image on the mac's pic viewer is way off once i've edited in photoshop. I am having to adjust all my colors by emailing myself to test. Its just getting ridiculous.

Check the color space in camera raw, the options are in the link at the bottom of the dialog box. Then when saving make sure you save it to the srgb color space when sending to others. Not all programs understand color space and or will default to srgb. That won't necessarily mean it will be accurate, but it will put it in the ballpark. Using save for web will use the srgb color space.

Sorry, possibly you need a new hard drive or try reformating. First
you can try something like http://www.alsoft.com/diskwarrior/ it has been known to repair disk that DiskUtility could not. YMMV and they don't give it away.
If Disk Warrior can not repair then you need to Reformate the drive. Make sure you have a back-up in place no matter what.
