I am having .dmg files issues can someone help?
I have mds loaded on my macbook air. I had no problems downloading dmg files until I upgraded to Lion. Here is the error:
"MDS DWNLDA WOODGRAIN STAMP BRUSH Installer" is damaged and can't be opened. You should eject the disk image.
in smaller letts and grayed out it says:
"MDS DWNLDA WOODGRAIN STAMP BRUSH Installer" is on the disk image "MDS DWNLDA WOODGRAIN STAMP BRUSH.dmg". Safari downloaded this disk image today at 10:17pm from ec2-50-112-2-55.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com
cannel or eject disk image.
I have been using mds and downloading art work since I have had my macbook air for 2 years, it is not an amazon file so I am not sure why amazon is showing up. Please help as I don't know what to do and I know for a fact that the file is not damaged. I have downloaded and loaded this file in the past. I get this error no matter what I am trying to load that is a .dmg

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

In Addition, I have deleted the old epubs that I had before I upgraded to mountain lion but the epub books still shows in the Kitabu Menu although it will not open them. When I open the books they are all blank.

I have migrated 6i to 10g and need to start the application in new window. I have setup formsweb.cfg, in lookandfeel=Genric and separateframe=true. When i go to the start url, it opens new window but doesnt close the parent window. How can I close the first window?
ThanksYou can't. As soon as you close this window, the forms-session will also close. What you could do is to move the window to some position outside the screen using java-script.

I have a Mac mini (bought in 2013) and the LG 20EN33 screen. I tried filing with the monitor's settings as well as the ones in display but the screen is stretched and the font is quite big. I saw a thread about Switch Res X so downloaded the app, but have no idea where to start to use it to correct issue. can someone help me please?

With Switch-X you want to change the resolution to match your monitor's resolution.
You have an old monitor and it may be best to get a new one that support the the now standard 1080p (1920X1080) resolution.
I have not ideal how Switch-X works since I use the free version of Display Menu fro the Mac App Store -

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account") -

I've encountered this error myself upon occasion. If I remember correctly, it was a permissions/ownership issue with the some of the files I was copying. -
As stated above - I am having a really big problem with the iTunes 10.6 installer.
First tells me 2 DLL files are missing and then that a program needed for the install isn't there.
I never had a problem withiTunes last year when I had an iPad.
I deleted the iTunes from then because I found the iPad to heavy - I have very severe arthritis
in my wrists. I might as well send my iPhone back to the retailer I got it from if this issue can't be solved.
I'm using Windows XP Pro with SP3 so it should work.
Please can someone help?

You do not use a WEP password but wpa/wpa2 on router and equipment.
All equipment connects to WiFi, but for your iPad.
Even with all other equipment WiFi off, you cannot connect your iPad.
Your iPad connects to other WiFi nets correctly.
All resets etc done on iPad and Router.
Still I am not sure it is your router for sure, frustrating...
I want to test 2 other things:
1. in your iPad, set everything OFF in Settings/Cellular, turn off/then/on your WiFi, and see whether it will still not connect...
2. If that does not do it: disconnect the router as well as the modem from the power, for 15 seconds, then reconnect the modem, let it fully start, then reconnect the routet let it fully start, turn of your WiFi in iPad, then on, and see whether it will connect. -

Hi, I had been having the same problem for over a week, but both my window's HP and my 2011 macbook pro barely could load youtube. What kind of router you have? I was using a belkin play router that was only 8 months old, switched to a new AirPort Extreme Base Station and now everything works perfect.

if you notice that it seems that there is another background
on top of the

Having CD data disc problems, can someone help?
I have a power mac G4 dual 1.25 GHz running OS X 10.3.9. It has a Toshiba DVD-ROM SD-R1312.
For about the last week or so I haven't been able to burn back-up data discs. They seem to be burning fine, but I get an error message during verifying, saying the disc could not be verified. If I then mount the disc, some of the files open, but most not.
To complicate matters, I seem to be able to burn music Cd's just fine, as many as I need to. And I am able to burn one, sometimes two, data discs upon start-up in the morning, then any more fail to verify. Incidentally, the discs that fail to verify won't load at all, seeming to be ruined.
Oh, by the way, I'm using Verbatim CD-Rs, I have tried others with no change (Maxell).
Can someone help? Is there a firmware update for the Toshiba burner? I can't find one.
I would appreciate any information greatly.

It may well not be the burner, esp. if Audio CD's are OK.
Dust on the lens can also cause quirky issues, so you may want to try a DVD lens cleaning disc.
You may want to invest in TechToolPro4 or similar app, so you can check & repair your file system/directories as needed. It sounds more like a data corruption issue.
At the very least, you can use Disc Utility to repair permissions & verify your HDD. -
I am trying to print a PDF file to a legal size paper and I would like for it to fill up the page. How do I do this? I went into the settings and changed it from letter to legal, but it's still printing out the same size. Can someone help me, please?
