Hi, I had been having the same problem for over a week, but both my window's HP and my 2011 macbook pro barely could load youtube. What kind of router you have? I was using a belkin play router that was only 8 months old, switched to a new AirPort Extreme Base Station and now everything works perfect.

My Mom's 2011 iMac is having issues loading web pages.

This past week my mother's iMac (2011) began having issues with the internet. She told me that whenever she ties to search for something on the internet, the reload bar in Safari constantly spins and takes forever to load (around 40 seconds).
We are using an Air Port Extreme router (2011 model), and my mom's iMac still has Snow Leopard (Mac OS X [10.6.8]) installed. The other computers in our house (a 2009 HP Touchsmart, a 2011 MacBook Pro, and a 2013 MacBook Pro) have no issue whatsoever. I recently had to restart the AirPort device in June due to issues, but it was fine for the last month up until Sunday, July 20th, 2014. The iMac is connected to the AirPort Wi-Fi network, but it's incredibly slow.
Is this problem happening because she hasn't updated her computer to OS X Mavericks?

Try rebooting the modem and router and her iMac. If that doesn't help create a new network location Using network locations (Mac OS X v10.6 and later)

I'm having issues loading Facebook due to time out error.

I'm on 10.8.2 and using Safari 6.0.1. I've tried everything....clearing cache, resetting Safari...and yet I'm having this issue. Also tried Chrome, Firefox and Opera as well. Sigh.
I've got no issues loading Facebook on my iPad using the same WIFI network. So I'm really puzzled.

i was having the same problem, after a trying all options that genuis bar recommeneded it still didn't work, but what worked was a DFU restore, which was actually recommeneded by a specialist at the Yorkdale apple store, i can't believe all the genuises i spoke to didn't recommend that the first time around after all else had failed... but DFU restore worked for me...

I'm having issue loading a page in Safari.

I'm having an issue loading a page from a wesite in Safari. I only have this issue with this website. I can't figure this out. I have tried resetting Safari, emptying the cache, clearing the cookies, deleting the history, logging on as a guest and everything else I can think of. It worked once but now no matter what I do it won't load. I see the header and footer but all the content in the middle is gone. Any suggestions?

Also, Linc's advice to try another browser is not just a good idea if you have troubles accessing a site, but if Safari is giving you problems, you can use the other browser for downloading any necessary files to repair Safari.

Issue loading metadata into Essbase 11x

Hi All,
I am trying to update metadata into ASO in Essbase 11.1.2 using Oracle Data Integrator 11g (Flat file to Essbase Integration)
Using rule file, I am able to load metadata into ASO, but when I am trying to load from ODI, I am able to load only the members but not the UDAs'.
I have 6 columns in my flat file (.CSV) in which first two columns are parent and child, 3, 4 and 5 were ignored in the rule file and also not mapped in my interface and 6th column is my UDA.
Please suggest with a possible solution if any face such similar problem.

Hi,
to execute maxl script, you need an essbase client on the ODI server.
The environment variable ARBORPATH should contains the path for analytic service, e.g. C:\Hyperion\AS.

[Solved] Having issues loading chrome/chromium/firefox

Hello all
I am new to arch, just installed last week. I installed KDE and have been using konqueror, but wish to use a chrome/firefox derivative. I've installed chrome, chromium. and firefox, but none will start up. When I start the application via the gui it shows up in the task bar, however it does not load, and exits after about 20 seconds.
I apologize for being a noob, I searched this problem on the wiki, google, and forums, but couldn't find anything.

Not doing -Syu leaves you with a broken system.
Using --force on a general -Syu also leaves you with a broken system.
'The mtab conflict' and other such issues are almost always discussed here on the forums, simply running your whole -Syu with --force isn't the best way of dealing with them.

Still having issues loading AS2 movies

I'm loading AS2 movies in a AS3 environment. The AS2 movies
use Tweener (any other tweening engine gives the same results btw).
If I load a AS2 movie the first time, a tween that uses a time and
easing property runs fine. When I load the AS2 movie the second
time... no go (the AS2 movie is removed... loader.unload, and the
loader is nullified, no listeners...). If I remove the time and
easing property on the tween, the 'tween' (it's now simply a new
value for x or y...) runs fine every time.
Is this some sort of cache issue? Broken GC kglad? Anyone
experienced this too or does anyone can shed some light on this?
Ideas maybe what I can try to solve this?

Hi wilsonsn! Receiving email while on the go has become so important, whether it be for business or just to stay in closer touch with friends and family. I'm happy to help, and would like to start with some questions, as well as a troubleshooting step.
Is this a new issue? If so, do you notice if there was something that was done right before it started, that may have caused it (i.e., an application or any change in settings)?
To troubleshoot, I recommend uninstalling your email application, then reinstalling it. Depending on the model Droid you have, the steps can be different. Here is a link to our support page, just enter "Email" and then the model of your device. vzw.com/support

Firefox 11 beta is having issues loading Flash and HTML content, shows plain text instead of images

I'm not sure what is causing the problem but it has been happening since beta 10 and now its also in beta 11. Randomly when I load any web page the page is displayed in plain text leaving all the HTML or flash content blank. Yes I have the most recent version of flash installed along with Java just in case it was looking for that mess as well. Sometimes the pages load fine, and sometimes they don't, it's like playing lotto with the internet. The only fix I know of is to either keep refreshing the page and "hope" it catches it on the reload, or closing Firefox and running CCleaner. Some times FF will load some of the visual data and leave gaps but usually its just basic text mode. I'm at a loss as to whether the problem is from Firefox or my ISP being a douche, either way its annoying that Firefox is not showing internet pages like it used to.
Hate to see it happening but it looks like Firefox is on its way to being just another Internet Explorer clone (failure). Should have stayed with your original team, all the new folks you have hired are really mucking up the whole project and its goal of a free and open internet. Not to mention writing bad code and costing you money and more importantly the user base.
(Update, now it's not doing it go figure, but I'm sure it will do it again at some point, perhaps its not Firefox and something else, I'll keep my eye on it and try to report any findings)

If you use extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extension) like Adblock Plus or NoScript or Flash Block that can block content then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I'm currently using Windows 7 and I'm having Issues playing or loading music on any websites online when I use Firefox. I would really like to use Firefox over the other browsers but it's having issues loading any kind of music on every website I tried.

I am using A Toshiba with Window 7 and cannot load or play music from the internet on any website. I have no problems with other browsers playing music such as Internet Explorer or Google Chrome, just FireFox.

Right-click on your main iTunes folder and click Properties, then go to the Security tab and click Advanced. If necessary grant your account and system full control to this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to replace permissions on child objects which will repair permissions throughout the library. This is the XP dialog but Windows 7 shouldn't be too different.

Firefox 3.6.8 still having problems loading heavy Flash websites

Upgraded to latest 3.6.8 Firefox version and noting it is still having issues loading heavy flash websites. Takes 5 to 6 times longer to load a webpage if there is Flash on it. I do have the latest version of Flash installed according to Adobe's website so that's not the culprit. Will be uninstalling this latest version and rolling back to the copy of 3.6.3 version I kept which worked great with all flash websites. Waiting for the problem to get fixed before I update again...hoping they can fix this. I noticed this problem starting back with version 3.6.6 and still hasn't been fixed with 3.6.8...

The strange thing is that whenever I load the page with Firebug activated for this page, it renders the Flash instantly. But hardly ever (it does happen now and then, but mostly not) when I'm not using Firebug. I have tried disabling all plugins, running in Safe Mode, but it didn't help. I use Mac OS X 10.6.4 64-bit, FF 3.6.8. Ideas, anyone?

Having issues with localStorage

Hi Guys,
Apparently we are having issues with returning saved data from localStorage. Currently, we are able to store some data in the localStorage.
However, when we close out of the DPS app and restart it, localStorage seems not to be loading the saved data/entires.
We currently have the onAppear event in our code, to trigger storing and loading of localStorage data... maybe this event is causing some sort of issue with localStorage? Any suggestions?
Does anyone know which events are currently working with localStorage without issues?
It would be great if someone could provide a small working localStorage snippet as an example, this would really help us.
