I am having issues printing from ipad via airprint compatible canon 5230- noairprint found

I just purchased canon mg5230 AirPrint compatible printer. Attepting to print from Keynote and numbers. Message-no airprinters found. Printer does work via wireless laptop. It will print a photo only via Canon app.

Not sure if this is a typo, but the 5230 is not on the list of airprint printers, but the 5320 is.
Here is the list.
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356
If you have the 5320, the from the printer control panel, see if you can update the frimware on the printer.  If you have recently bought it, it was not likely shipped with the current software.

  • User Name & Password for Deskjet J4580 - to print from Ipad via AirPrint

Was able to install the airprint driver on computer.  My Ipad sees my printer but asks me for "user name" and "password" for HP Officejet j4500 series @ zeus".  I have tried all kind of passwords and it will not accept.  Wondering how I  can either obtain user name andpassword or reset them for my printer.

Well, this is strange because this printer does not support AirPrint.  Maybe that is the problem altogether.
I have no idea about the user name and password, it should not have them.

I attempted to download 'handy print' to my iPad2 but received the message, "Safari unable to download." I simply need to send info to a printer which is not AirPrint compatible.

... Can you confirm that a Mac running printopia can announce non-Airprint compatible Printers Airprint-disguised across the network while it is asleep?
Wake on Demand is not related to Printopia in the strictest sense, and it is not as if the Mac announces the presence of its non-AirPrint printers as much as it announces the presence of itself and its available services, which would include Printer Sharing.
    From Printopia's FAQ:
Q: Does Printopia require my Mac to be on?
A: Since Printopia runs on your Mac to share printers to iOS devices, the Mac must be on and logged in for Printopia to function. You may be able to take advantage of Apple's "Wake on Demand" feature if your Mac and your base station meet certain specific requirements. See Apple's Wake on Demand support page for more details on this.
About Wake on Demand: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3774. Read about how it works to understand its capabilities and limitations. Portable Macs, for example, must be plugged in to a charging source.
I could never get WoD to work reliably on earlier releases of OS X, but the feature has been working reliably since at least Lion. The Mac wakes, the print job is sent, and the Mac goes back to sleep according to the settings in Energy Saver.
Wake on Demand requires AirPort Base Stations, anything else may work but is not guaranteed.
Printopia has a trial version so you don't have to spend $20 just to find out.

  • Print from iPad via airbase extreme

Hvordan printer man fra ipad via air extreme?

Most likely yes, if you install an App like Print Central on the iPad.
PrintCentral for iPad on the iTunes App Store
HP might have some new software that would allow this as well. Check their support site to see.

  • How to print from iPad via WiFi

    Hi,
My printer is a HP Photosmart C4680 who's usb cable is connected to a small box or hp print server that connects wirelessly to my Linksys router. I tried Airprint but it didn't work because my printer is not in their list.
Then I tried HP iPrint but this doesn't work either because according to their instructions I have a USB printer that should be connected to an apple airport extreme/express.
So do I get this right, either I buy a new printer that is in the list of supported AirPrint printers
or I buy an apple airport extreme/express, get rid of my hp print server box and linksys router and attach my printer's usb cable to the airport extreme?
Another question is, how is apple airport extreme compared to linksys wrt610n? In other words, what will I loose and what will I gain?
    Thanks in advance

AirPort extreme should indeed solve your problem.
If your Windows PC is on more often than not, you may find it more practical to look at a software solution like http://jaxov.com/2010/11/how-to-enable-airprint-service-on-windows/, this works well with me and in your case won't require a network overhaul by using a new router.

  • I have changed broadband supplier and cannot now print from iPad to airprinter

I have changed broadband supplier and cannot now print to my air printer

Your printer must use the settings (SSID and Password) of your new router.
Currently your printer is no longer on the same network as your iPad.
If it is a HP printer, you have to run the CD again.

  • Printing from iPad mini

I Have no problem printing from my iPhone 5s to my HP
officejet pro 8610.  Why can't I print from my iPad mini?

    Hey Jayessgee,
If you are having issues printing from your iPad mini, take a look at the suggestions below to get that working.
    About AirPrint
    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201311
    If you're unable to print
Check these things if you are unable to print, or if you see the message "No AirPrint Printers Found."
Make sure your printer has paper, and enough ink or toner installed.
Make sure your printer is connected to the same network as your Mac or iOS device.
Make sure your printer has power and is turned on. Try turning your printer off and then back on again to see if it resolves the issue.
Check to see if your printer has any error lights or indicators. Check the documentation that came with your printer to clear any errors displayed.
Check with your printer's manufacturer to see if any firmware updates are available for your printer. Check your printer's documentation or contact the printer vendor for more information. A firmware update may be available, even if you just bought your printer.
    Take care,
    -Norm G.

  • I cant find my pdf/ibooks on computer after backing up my iPad (they are on my iPad).   Also, I'm having issues with my Ipad turning off about every 2 minutes so I want to restore it.  Dont want to lose my files from my iPad.

Actually I have 2 problems:  I cant find my pdf/ibooks on computer after backing up my iPad (they are on my iPad).  I looked under Ipad, I Books, PDFs, and it doesn't show them on the computer. How do I manually transfer these files?
Also, I'm having issues with my Ipad turning off about every 2 minutes, and I want to restore it.  I want to make sure all of the files are backed up before I restore.  My trouble started when I was trying to update my IPad but it was taking too long (internet was scetchy) so I powered off...now Im having problems.  I haven't tried to update again since this problem. Any suggestions?  Should I restore? Should I update to 7.0.6?  (currently 7.0.3).

Bought a new 2540 to use with iPad, printing direct from wireless direct to printer and missing lines, tried copying and everything is working/printing ok. It just appears to be when printing from iPad. I have tried powering down printer and rebooting but still the same.
    Any help appreciated.

Hey ,  Welcome to the HP Support Forum.  I see that you're having what sounds like AirPrint quality issues with your HP Deskjet 2540 All-in-One Printer. I would like to assist.  Your 2540 is AirPrint compatible, but not all app content and file formats are AirPrint friendly. I recommend installing the HP ePrint app. (I'm assuming you don't have WiFi if you're a wireless direct user. If that's the case try and visit a public space with WiFi and install the app there. Once installed you can use it within a wireless direct setup).  Let me know if this helps. Thanks for reaching out and have a great day!

  • Canon IR Copiers printing from iPad

So I deployed the iPrint Appliance 1.0.1.69 to solve our "Can't print from iPad" problem and now am getting stuck at the printer/copier. We're getting a PDL IMG DATA INVALID error on our Canon IR 4075.

Exactly my point: it's not a problem of not having the right printer, it's a matter of iOS not allowing it because Air Print is blocking it, probably because of a deal with HP.
But, I've solved the problem so now I can print from my iMac, my Mac Air, my iPhone and my iPad. No thanks to the folks at Apple who purposely blocked that functionality.
Can you print from your iPad directly to the printer without involving an intervening computer, yes or no.

  • HP Premium "air printer" is not printing from iPad, but iPhone printing is fine

    Greetings
I have the problem that no printouts are showing at my HP premium if printed from iPad. The iPad can see the printer, box is saying that the print is getting prepared and then sent to the printer, but it never arrives. Printerque stays empty. Printing from my MacBook via Wi-Fi is working fine as well as printing from my iPhone.
iPad 2 with iOS7, iPhone5 IoS 7, HP premium photosmart C410, MacBook Pro with Mavericks, New Air Timecapsule a/c and n wireless.
    Things I tried without success:
    - Use printer wired (to Timecapsule) as well as wireless
    - Reset Printer to Manufacturer default
    - Turn off iPad, turn off Printer, Turn off Air Timecapsule
