I am having issues sending and receiving group texts on my iphone 5c

I am having issues sending and receiving group texts on iphone 5c. I may get texts only from the sender or a few of the recipients, but not all. I spoken to Apple. They are working on the problem but it has been almost two months + and the problem seems to be getting worse. Any one have this issue?

ajspurr, sorry to hear that you're still having some troubles here, but we want to figure this out. If you have already cleared the application cache and data and it's still giving you an issue, we may want to reset the device. By resetting the device we can ensure there are no underlying software issues. If you have the device backed up you can take a look here to see how to reset the device http://vz.to/1ucTCmE. Is anyone having issues sending and receiving downloads with messages?

I downloaded messages. But I'm having troubles sending and receiving downloads from others.
My friend has messages as well and we can send small files, like mp3. But when I tried to send him a movie that's 500mb it says that the file is too big.
When I get incoming files to download (doesn't matter if the file is small or large), I click it and my aim automatically logs me off and then back on. So I can't even accept incoming downloads. Anyone have any fixes?

I have one other thread where the person says there Login to AIM gets booted off when they try to accept Files in Messages beta.
Personally I have one Jabber Buddy who I cannot get Files from but they can send me AIM File Transfers.
I need to test with other Jabber Buddies to check this further myself. However I am not booted Off line.
I have sent Picture files in line and as free standing File transfers over AIM before, the largest probably being about 50Mb at a max.
I certainly have not sent a movie that big (I have sent smaller ones)
I have not come across a Limit before.
What do you see if you have the File Transfer window Open as well ?
This tends to show the sideways barbershop pole and a second downward arrow to start the download from there.
Mine fails when I click the arrow in the File Transfer window and until then it says Waiting.
The other thread has also tried Auto Accept with no luck.
At present I have not answers to this.
We have not tried Zipped files in the other thread.

Sending and receiving group texts on galaxy s5

I cannot receive or send group texts. is there a suggestion on what the issue might be?

I want to make sure you can take advantage of group messaging, tlavender. Are you using the default application on the device? Are you attempting to initiate group messages from your phone or is a contact adding you to their group message? Does the group message contain more than 5 contacts? If so, are you able to start a group message with 3 members?

There's an article that Apple has acknowledged this issue. They recommend turning off imessages, reset all settings and then reactivate imessages.
If that doesn't work, you may just have to wait until they release an update, which should be pretty soon.

Wow, 1yerdua. That's far too long to be having this messaging trouble. We want to find the resolution fast! If you turn off your Lumia's WiFi (Menu > Settings > WiFi), are you still able to access data-oriented applications like Internet Explorer? Have you been to other areas of the state/country and experienced the same trouble?

Can't send or receive group texts after 8.1 update

I can't send or receive group texts after I updated my phone. I do get "get media content now" but nothing happens when I click it.

For which phone model is this? Are you referring to the Lumia Cyan software update or the Windows Phone 8.1 Preview for Developer?

Does anyone else have this problem or have a solution to this issue? Has been like this since I got the phone and Apple says it is Verizon AND Verizon says it is Apple! I cannot send or receive a group text! Help!

i have the same issue with AT&T. My phone receives picture and group texts just fine, but responding to group texts fails.
Disabling MMS allows you to send texts to multiple people at the same time but doesn't set up the group chat environment so that responses can be automatically sent to everyone as well. you end up receiving text responses from each recipient in a separate thread.
AT&T has also stated that it is an iPhone issue, but I have yet to ask apple what they think the problem is. Since the issue sounds identical to KKONO's, I'd assume the response would be that I should speak with AT&T about it. :\
It doesn't really make sense that the carrier would be the one at fault since if MMS were really dysfunctional it would have much more widespread affects than just disabling group chat response. Send/Receive picture text and receive group chat should also be disabled. Since the problem is isolated only to responding to group chat, I'd think it's more likely an issue with apple iOS.
Any thoughts?

Hi, I have an iphone 4s with ios 7. I can send and receive picture messages from everyone except for one person. He also has an iphone 4s but for some reason when I try to send him a pic it says not delivered. I try several more times but with the same result. I also don't receive any that he sends to me. I really need your

Hi and thank you for responding. He does have an account (sprint) that includes MMS. I did one time receive one picture from him and that was it. I have not been able to get any pictures to go through. Although I am able to send pictures to every one else and receive. Could there by some setting on my end that isn't right? Previously i had no problems with this until a couple of weeks ago.
There wasn't some event that i am aware of that caused an onset of this.
Now I can only send pictures or group messages to other iPhones.
I have cellular data, MMS and SMS settings on.
Have tried sending picture text and group messages with and without wifi on (as well as switching the others on/off one at a time & testing).
Tried with iMessage on/off.
Tried every combo of Send & Receive phone/email (& off).
Reset network settings.
Wiped phone clean and restored with iCloud backup.
Using AT&T.
Still nothing.

Can send text-only messages to non-iPhones.
Any other ideas out there?

For those new to mail with issues sending and receiving mail

I was surprised that I did not see anyone referring to this amazing and invaluable tool, the Mail Setup Assistant:

This tool get's me through troubleshooting sessions more than anything else. Most problems are due to settings when it comes to Mail. Half the time issues with sending emails is just due to SMTP settings, sometimes you do not need to have Authentication for outgoing mail. Sometimes your password is just incorrect. Use Mail Setup Assistant it is pretty **** accurate I use it on a daily basis.
Sometimes the settings are perfect and sometimes you just have to erase mail completely by doing:
~/library/preferences/com.apple.mail.plist pull.
~ refers to your home folder!

Can i send and receive mobile texts with bb bridge?

I would like to know if its possible to use my t-mobile messaging service using the bridge mode through my playbook.
Do I need to download an app from t-mobile? When I open messages, the file is empty, and there is a load of messages on my phone.

There is an app in appworld called sms bridge for playbook. it is used on the phone. it converts to an email and you can reply and it converts back to txt. there is a small fee but works well.

Cannot send or receive some text messages

I just got the iphone 4s, and am having problems sending and receiving some text messages, it is saying "Message Send Failure"

Same problem persists also here. Have crosschecked with friend, all same settings, have deleted the contacted, created again, still that number does not receive my SMS (no question on iMessage). Can not even reply her message. This problem persists with few numbers, nothing common, different phones, different countries, different operators. All others, with different operators, in different coutries receive my messages. Even other people can send their SMS to her.

Difficulties sending and receiving iMessages

Is anyone else having difficulties sending and receiving iMessages since installing IOS 7? Mine just keep saying "sending..." In the end I am having to send them as text messages to get them through.
I had hoped the recent fix would resolve the issue, but it hasn't. Text messages seem to be ok, the problem is with iMessage.
Any suggestions on how to over come this?

It seems that Apple is aware of the issue and working already on a fix for that that should be released "immediately"
