I am having issues with the contrast on my macbook screen.

i have an older mac book purchased in 09' and when i am editing photos, they are extremely darker on my mac, then what they are on my camera, or other computers or my iphone. but if i reset my computer. say the background photo, it will look like it should for about 5 seconds, than it will change and go extremly dark. its almost like the contrast in the photo is increased. it isnt the brightness of my screen ive tried that. but it really is like the contrast has been increased on my screen its like that on web sites. photos, videos no matter what editing program i am in it is effected. it isnt constant either. i have times where it is completly normal for a while. and it will suddenly go dark again. and suggestions on how i can fix this?

Please boot in safe mode and test. Same problem?

I am still having issues with the TOC pictures. I got several chapter/section photos to show up, but can't seem to repeat this success. It is some mystery that happened during a time that I had practically given up. This should be such a simple thing. Drag and place a picture into the placeholder and it shows up in the TOC....right? Help, help help! want to get this thing done and it's taken two days of work just get some of the photos to show up. I am going to have to publish this ibook with no photos in several sections.....why can't this be simple? I have even had someone else spend hours trying to figure this out. This software is such a GREAT idea....come on...help with this little part of it.

I had the same problem myself. I got to the point where I couldn't replace the photo, of a new chapter, in the TOC. What I did was to duplicate an existing chapter that was working and was able to replace it's TOC's photo. I also found that if you try different areas of the photo you can sometimes get it to replace correctly. For example, instead of dragging the new photo to the middle of an existing photo, try dragging it to the right top corner.

I just started having this yesterday. It's only happened twice, but it's annoying. My wife texted me that she was coming home last night, and it showed up immediately on my iPod Touch but not my iPhone. I opened my iPhone and it soon updated. Worked fine after that. Then just a moment ago today my wife texted me and the same thing happened. I heard my iMac and iPod Touch receive the message but it didn't display on my phone until I opened the phone and it showed up again a little bit thereafter. I suppose I'll send Apple some feedback on this issue.

Hi, just got off the phone from BT Business. It is the Business 2wire hub that has the issue. The girl from technical talked through a direct modem to Mac connection and my download took 20 minutes. If you are on Fibre broadband this is the only current fix or a new router if non fibre customer. Hope that helps.

CS3 is too old to run on a new Macintosh laptop, sorry. You'll have to purchase CS6 or a Creative Cloud subscription.

Take your iPhone to an Apple Store or authorized service center in the country where you purchased the iPhone and they will look at it and replace it under warranty if applicable.
If you cannot take it person contact them to determine how to send them your phone.
You can't expect them to replace your iPhone without first examining it.

I had this problem as well. This is what I found by searching online. I tried the fix on my nano 7th gen and it worked. I hope this helps you. Make sure to use two fingers for sliding and double-click the icons to get into settings. Good luck.

I tried to search through the community, but with the sheer volume of posts, I didn't find anything that seemed like the same issue.
My iPad 4 just started having issues with the volume. On either Bluetooth or the iPad Speaker, anything I'm watching or listening to drops the sound to just barely hearing it and then, about 2 seconds later, it comes back.
I haven't tried wired ear phones, but I am sure they'll be the same way.
It's very random, but consistent enough to happen several times per day.

I have restarted it and also did a Hard Reboot and it didn't help.

Well there you go, when you advertise it just be sure to say that you can't even see the scratches at half brightness and see how it goes.
Of course you are saying you want $500 for one with many scratches on the screen, has been dropped, but the scratches aren't visible at half brightness, and has no warranty. I wouldn't pay more than $300 for a used model with your specs in perfect condition. But yours is far from perfect. I think your high point is $250 which is why I said 50%.

I TOOK MY FIRST PHONE BACK TO THE STORE BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS DEFECTIVE BUT THEN MY REPLACEMENT DID THE SAME THING. GLOBAL MODE IS WHAT THE PHONE IS SET TO USE OUT OF THE BOX. I SWITCHED IT TO LTE/CDMA AND NOW IT WORKS FLAWLESSLY. AWESOME

I'm glad you had luck with this. I have the same issue, and i've replaced the droid turbo 4 times. I've tried it on 4 or 5 different wifi networks and it doesn't give me any type of speed at all.

For some reason, I have encountered two issues already.. Whenever I'm exporting my galleries as web pages, nothing happens! It creates a null folder that I specify but then doesn't export any photos or html pages.. If I delete the folder and do it again, the exact same way, for some miracle it then begins to export.. There is no logical explanation and its clear that its a bug..
Also, when exporting multiple images into CS2, that also fails for me.. It only opens up one picture and even though the others are selected, it doesn't seem to do the trick.. Its not my computer because i have a brand new quad w/ 4 gigs of memory.. I didn't encounter either of these issues with the older version..
Anybody else??

I tried both, and was successfull both times.
External Edit:
1. I selected 2 images (D200 RAW images).
2. Right clicked to get the contextual menu and selected Open with External Editor (I have my prefs set up for Photoshop).
3. Both images opened in Photoshop.
I can't image it being system specific. What camera and file type are you using?

iTouch is bombing out & not restoring, but before that I was getting a message I needed iTunes 7.7.1 (which I have) then it was not able to update to 2.1 on the iTouch. Maybe it's a good thing I have to wait till Friday, my iPhone I need for work, my iTouch is a toy. "Bricking" it I can wait on Apple, "Bricking" my iPhone customers can't call me... Dooah!

Sadly, I would bet money that it is. I know I'll be holding off the iPhone upgrade until I see how many phones it bricks.

What is wrong with the colors on my Macbook screen?

I was watching YouTube on my Macbook Pro 13 inch with retina display last night and all of the sudden the color scheme became strange: the colors are all faded and "off", almost infrared. Occasionally the colors will flicker and return to normal but will revert back to the strange colors within another minute. I haven't dropped it anytime recently and when connected to my tv via HDMI chord the colors display normal on the television screen. Does anyone know what might be the problem and possibly how to fix it? I got the laptop new a year and one month ago.

Probably the display connection is loose. If you have the issue with the internal display and external display you
have an issue with the graphics card on your system board. In either case your Mac should be checked out at
an Apple dealer.
