I am having problem with my push notifications of facebook and other applications on my 3gs ios5.0 device. I have done too many things have updated my facebook application but still it is not showing any push notification. Is there any settings that i need to do for it? Also it is not allowing me to show on mobile in facebook. Any one here can help?

ok for facetime and imessage go into settings turn them off make sure to make an icloud backup and then go to settings general erase all content and settings and then set it up from the backup it should activate your imessage and facetime

Tried to reset network settings however it is still same. Added another gmail account and somehow it is working :S. Checked account settings on gmail and iphone. Settings are correct and imap is enabled. When I tried to check my e-mail it says "username and password don't correct"
Tried to delete account and add again but no change.
I am not sure what is the problem.

I have problems with Icloud push notifications to email subfolders

since ICloud i don't get any push notifications to any Subfolder.
At the mail Webclient i defined some email rules. I get only push notifications at the inbox folder.
Has icloud no support for notifications to subfolder?

i have the same problem on my iphone 4S.
mails gets correctly put in the subfolder i assigned but i dont get any badge notification so hours may pass before i realize i have a new mail in my "very urgent stuff" subfolder! which is quite bad
would love to know if there's a workaround, it's a known issue or i should just disable the rules for a while and moving the mails manually.
notice the rules are applied on the icloud webmail app, but not on my desktop mac

Anyone else have issues with no push notifications for ScoreCenter and CNBC RT?

Ever since updating to the iPhone 5, I have been unable to recieve push notifcations for my team alerts in ScoreCenter, but breaking news alerts work fine. I have tried deleting and reinstalling with no sucess. The same goes for CNB RT. No push notifications since the iPhone 5, even though, like ScoreCenter, it says alerts are on. I do not think this is an iOS 6 problem because both of these problems are non-issues on my iPad running iOS 6. Anyone else having these problems, or have any suggestions? Thanks.

Problem sending Apple Push Notification using Java and REST.

Am using the javapns library to send an Apple Push Notification through a REST based web service...
Here are the steps that I have completed:
iPhone Developer Program Portal (IDPP):
(1) Created the App ID and APNS based SSL Certificate and Keys.
(2) Created and installed the provisioning profile.
(3) Installed the SSL Certificate and Key on the server.
(4) Set up my iPhone app to register for remote notifications.
XCode:
Was able to obtain my device token when I built and deployed my app onto my device.
As soon as my iPhone app deployed, the dialog came up on my iPhone indicating that my app would like to send push notifications and also asked for permission to allow them.
When I invoked my web service, through my Log4J statements, I was able to see that my REST based web service was indeed invoked but I never received a push notification on my iPhone app!

Is anybody else having problems with itunes (10.6.3.25) and ipod touch (5.1.1)?

Lately I've been having a ton of problems with iTunes and my iPod Touch (4th generation). Lots of error messages such as can't connect to itunes store, incompatible application, ipod detected but not identifiable, invalid response received from device, unknown errors [mostly (0xE8000001)], problem with audio configuration, etc. I've done everything I could think of. Uninstalling iTunes (with all the components) then reinstalling with the newest version (10.6.3.25), running diagnostics and such. If it does appear (about 2% of the time) then iTunes freezes and/or it won't sync. I also try to change some info (song title, artist, artwork, etc)(when it DOES come up) and it shows up on itunes but not on my ipod. My ipod appears on my computer but not in iTunes under devices like its supposed to. I've been to all the support threads I can possibly find and NOTHING has helped. I also had the latest version for the ipod touch (5.1.1). And I've never had any issues with iTunes or my iPod touch before. I know I should probably try restoring my ipod but I absolutely do not want to do that unless I have to because i have a lot of music, apps, movies, etc I'm not able to back up. Also, I'm using a Windows 7 computer. Please Please help if you can, I am frustrated because I can't do anything.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT as you start iTunes) then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.

Is anyone having problems with the newest update of ITunes and then trying to update the Iphone 4?

I updated the ITunes on the computer and that went ok, but when i went to go and update the IPhone 4 it went to restore it to the factory settings and then something happened where it wouldn't let it update and now the phone is stuck in Limbo world with the apple symbol showing and a status bar, but nothing else. also the phone is not showing up as being plugged in while in this limbo faze.

Yes. I had problems with Firefox 3.5. The primary problem was very slow or never-ending loading of certain websites (particularly secure sites and sites with many features). I also have had similar, but not as bad, problems with Safari 4. I never had these problems with Safari 2 or Firefox 2. It just seems that with each update, the problems increased for me. I have read the Safari and Firefox forums and tried many fixes with little improvement. I have come to the conclusion that there is some kind of compatibility problem between the latest versions of Safari and Firefox and Shockwave Flash and/or Javascript and OS 10.4, particularly on PPC Macs. I expect there are many who will disagree and I cannot argue or prove the point. This is just my opinion. And I recognize that my problems could be caused by my setup and not by the browsers. By the way, I do not use any add-ons with any of my browsers. Anyway, I got tired of dealing with it and installed the latest version of Camino about 2 weeks ago. I also did a clean install of Firefox 3.0.13. Camino is working out great for me. It is simple and it works. No problems at all. So currently I am using Camino as my primary browser and Firefox 3.0.13 as my backup. I hope this helps.

Problems with initial set up for mail and other things

I am having issues with mail set up and getting printers and other things work with Mac Pro Book, since i am new convert i am feeling really frustrated with these things, anyone out there has experince in mac mail set ups and other instatlations like msn messanger etc.

Sorry you are having problems but you need to provide more detailed information about the problems such as what type of email account are you trying to set up in Mail - .Mac, IMAP or POP and is this account provided by your ISP used for connecting to the internet or by an email account provider?
What happens including error messages provided when trying to create the email account in Mail?

Installing MSN Messenger should be easy. I believe Messenger does not include an installer and is provided as package via a disk image that only requires dragging the application from the mounted disk image to your Applications folder which copies the application package from the mounted disk image to your hard drive.

For about the last 10 days it has been sporadic at best and at times, like right now, it won't even load new messages I know are there using the reload button.
I've tried deleting and re-inputting the account but it doesn't help. And the new OS update didn't change anything either.
Next step would be a full restore but I thought I'd check and see if others were having the same problem - maybe it's just been overloaded.

If you create a Gmail account with the preset configuration you won't be able to "push" and this is a fact. Holding down the center/select button and the menu button will reboot your ipod. See if that helps. Also, I'd recommend something else- I had nothing but trouble with my ipod classic until I spent $20 to get Mac OS Mountain Lion. It did what you said and sometimes wouldnt play, or wouldnt power on...
Try rebooting your ipod and let me know what happens and maybe in the future obtain Mountain Lion to aide your ipod in functionality.

I having problems with it switching on my macbook and then it automatically switches off

i have had Yosemite for a while and it was working perfectly, and the suddenly is froze and automatically shut down. Try booting into Safe Mode. If that is successful, but then a normal reboot fails, you may have some third-party software installed that is preventing boot up. If you have any ideas what it might be, we can help you uninstall it.

The other thing to try is boot into Recovery and use Disk Utility to repair the drive:

Finally, you can try just reinstalling the OS using Recovery. It won't erase any of your data, but you should still have a backup.

It sounds like an app you installed is not functioning correctly. I recommend starting with these steps from the article named:
