I am having problems composing and replying to messages in gmail

Firefox just updated to 3.6.12 today, and after that, my gmail stopped working normally. I can no longer compose or reply to messages following this update, however, I can use gmail on my iPhone, so I assume this is an FF issue. I had Buzz disabled for months, which can be an issue, but obviously it had been working with it offline, so I don't think that is an issue in this case. Gmail does appear to work okay in Basic HTML form, following my switching back to that, but I hope this can be resolved so I can use the standard new Gmail as I had with no problem for years. This is the first problem I have ever had with Firefox updates, again, assuming that is the cause. Maybe it's not, but if/when anyone has any info, please reply.

I have had about:config >dom.storage.enabled, set at false for a week or so now. There were no problems until the ff 3.6.12 update yesterday morning when I began having the same problems as all of you. I allowed all scripts, problem persisted so I went back to about:config, toggled dom storage to true and voila, chat and compose started working. Just to check, I switched it back to false and it stopped working. You can use the add-on betterprivacy to autodelete dom storage cookies but it looks like google will no longer allow you to disable them completely.

I have also been having another problem - with BBC iPlayer and other video streaming not working due to insufficient bandwidth, despite my overall download speed being consistently around 50Gb. This is also affecting AppleTV downloads
I am using Virgin Media as my ISP, and was wondering whether you do as well. This might be the common thread.

You need to give a lot more information about the media specifications and the project properties you're using in the different projects.

Email recipients having problems receiving and opening attachments after iOS7 update. Help!

I use my iPad for work, and often send emails with multiple PDF attachments via the GoodReader app. Since updating to iOS7, people are having problems receiving and/or opening my attachments. All available updates have been installed for both the iPad and GoodReader apps.
My emails either show up with NO attachments, or with a box marked with an "X".
I Googled and learned others are having the same issue, especially when sending single page PDFs.
The email address/account I am using is through the Microsoft Exchange. I will say, however, when I try sending the attachments from my iCloud email account, I have no problems. I also had no problems with iOS6.
Someone is probably going to tell me this is a Microsoft problem and not an Apple problem. Regardless, I need a solution. This is very frustrating. I'm ready to go back to using my Windows-based laptop. HELP!

Solution for me was changing the "Load Remote Images" setting, shutting down and restarting the phone. The old messages with problems reloaded with all attachments accessible.
Background: I began having this problem recently with PDF, jpeg,vcf files and apparently now, all attachments as well as email with html links are coming through with no attachment or as empty email. This was a new problem for me. I have been backing up to the cloud, but not using a cloud email account. I have multiple accounts on the phone, six of them actually and have been set up this way for over a year without problem. Some are imap, some pop, none are through exchange.

Are you using dial-up, cable, or DSL? Do you have a slow or fast connection? The former is likely to make it difficult to get a reliable download of a 4 GB file.

Having problems finding and importing actions I recorded in CS5 :(

Hi. I've recently upgraded from CS5 to CC but I'm now having problems finding and importing actions that I previously had recorded in CS5. Where do I need to look to locate these actions, as they are still in CS5 when I open it.

You export them using the flyout menu in the top right corner of the actions palette. Conversely, you load them the same way in the new version.

In reference to Lynley Stanley, I too am having the exact problem. I downloaded as for my class of Animation and Visual Effects at the Academy of Art University while waiting for my software to come in the mail from Academic Superstore. I am so frustrated about this that such an issue has caused so much madness. In the process of trying to remove Adobe Photoshop CS3 from my Windows Vista I was searching for info on how to uninstall as I was in a hurry to uninstall the program because my 4th week into class started using the program as students are expected to follow along having their own for assignments. Well, now I'm behind and I don't want to fail because of something that is causing the problem as I'd like to call intentional. In the process of trying to figure a way to uninstall fast as not to fall behind and fail in class I downloaded Perfect Uninstaller but I don't know how it will work. Now in reference of trying to quickly uninstall just to keep up with class, that will not be possible, so now I had to take time to look online knowing I'm falling more and more behind because of this difficult matter I finally found this and hopefully I'll be going somewhere as to have the problem corrected. I should have explained further. The game opens in a new window over to the upper left of my screen, leaving the original page underneath. I tried minimizing it so that I could get to my toolbar and did the View > Zoom > Reset. This has no effect. The lower portion of the game is still not showing. Using other browsers the window or frame of the game is much larger, therefore everything shows.

I think you have to turn off Private Browsing.
Tap "Private" on Safari Screen to disable Private Browsing. When top of screen is white, Private Browsing is off.

Having problem joining and hosting games

I have a WRT54G wireless route and since I installed it I am having trouble joining and hosting multilayer games. Please help if you need anymore info I'll be glad too give more

You can do a few things to fix this. One, you can set your computer as a DMZ from with in your router. Two, you can find out what ports your games use and open those ports and direct them to your computers IP. Joining games that other poeple are hosting is a whole new ball game and depends on many factors. What internet connection you have, the hosts internet connection, are you connecting multiple computers from your connection? This is a good place to start to figure out your problem.

I believe you can specify italics by putting a slash before and after the text, bold is done using asterisks before and after text, and underline is done using the underline character before and after text.

When you sign up with an e mail address, apple will send an e mail to that address to verify it is really your, and that you are the one setting up whatever you are doing. The same process happens if you change your e mail, or add an additional e mial.
So watch you in box in that e mail account for an e mail from apple. You need to respond to it to confirm the set up.
If your provider has a spam filter, check in there. Some aggresive spam filters block the apple e mail.
Lastly, some report that they never get the email, cannot respond, therefore cannot set up whatever they are trying to set up. If that happens, try an alternate e mail address if you have one.

Having problems erasing and reinstalling Mac os x on 2007 MBP 15in

I am having some problems here and was hoping for some help.
Just recently here, I decided to erase and reinstall Mac Os X on my sister's 2007 MBP. She just recently got a new 15in MBP and wanted most of her content on the 2007 to be erased. Well... I did some reading around and found that the easiest way to do so was with the os X DVD that came with the thing. Problem is....I can't seem to find it for the 2007 MBP. So I decided to try the 2010 version. Went into the disk, ran disk utility, wiping the hard drive, did all the right steps according to Apple, and then rebooted to try get a clean version of OS X on. Well, problem is, it would come to the language select screen, but after that selection, it would come up with this error:
"Mac OS X can't be installed on this computer
If you want to restore your system from a Time Machine backup, click "Restore from Backup"
I've tried reformatting the HD several times and even tried restoring, but it wouldn't display my system restores...
So my quesiton is, is it becuase I have the wrong DVD that its not working or is there something else I"m missing?
Any help would be vastly appreacited (especially since its not my computer!)

The install disks that come with a model of a Mac have certain hardware drivers for the computer and video card, you can't use another Mac's install disk.
However you can use the $29 Snow Leopard install disk, but it doesn't come with iLife, that's extra.

If in a, Press release there are links I need to research to make sure they are correct, copying and pasting the url from word to firefox doesn't work. I just purchased more icloud space and I ham having problems backing up icloud on my iphone 5. The message says,"the last backup could not be completed." Anyone know why this is happening.

This may be caused by a corrupt existing backup that needs to be deleted, or by data on your device that is causing the backup to fail. To troubleshoot these, try deleting your last iCloud backup (if you have one) by going to Settings>iCloud>Storage>Manage Storage, tap your device under Backups, then tap Delete Backup and choose Turn Off & Delete at the prompt. Then go to Settings>iCloud>Backup and turn iCloud Backup back on and try backing up again.
If it still won't back up, you may have an app or something in your camera roll that is causing the backup to fail. To locate which one, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, under Backup Options tap Show All Apps, then turn them all to Off (including camera roll) and try backing up again. If the backup is successful, then the camera roll and/or one of your apps is causing the backup to fail and you'll have to located by process of elimination. Turn the camera roll On and try backing up again. If it succeeds, turn some of your apps to On and try backing up again. If it succeeds again, turn some more apps to On then try again; repeat this process until it fails. Eventually you'll be able to locate the problem app and exclude it from your backup.
