In reference to Lynley Stanley, I too am having the exact problem. I downloaded as for my class of Animation and Visual Effects at the Academy of Art University while waiting for my software to come in the mail from Academic Superstore. I am so frustrated about this that such an issue has caused so much madness. In the process of trying to remove Adobe Photoshop CS3 from my Windows Vista I was searching for info on how to uninstall as I was in a hurry to uninstall the program because my 4th week into class started using the program as students are expected to follow along having their own for assignments. Well, now I'm behind and I don't want to fail because of something that is causing the problem as I'd like to call intentional. In the process of trying to figure a way to uninstall fast as not to fall behind and fail in class I downloaded Perfect Uninstaller but I don't know how it will work. Now in reference of trying to quickly uninstall just to keep up with class, that will not be possible, so now I had to take time to look online knowing I'm falling more and more behind because of this difficult matter I finally found this and hopefully I'll be going somewhere as to have the problem corrected. Mac or Windows?
Have you actually installed it, or just downloaded your purchased copy? If just downloaded then you need to double-click the downloaded file from wherever you saved it to. This will run the installer and ask you to enter your serial number (which you should NEVER post in a public forum such as this).
If you have installed it, and if you're using Windows, it should have placed shortcuts on the desktop. But if not click Start and type 'photo' without the quotes and you should see an entry for PSE.

Having problem installing Win7 using Bootcamp on Mac Mini 2011

I'm trying to install Win7 using bootcamp on my new Mac Mini 2011. I first partitionned the disc using Bootcamp assistant. Then during Win7 installation I select Partition 4 BOOTCAMP, format it to NTFS, then when I try to select the drive, it says that the drive is not compatible for the installation.
Is there anything I missed???

I had a similar problem when I selected upgrade instead of complete install. I want to make sure your aware that you should click the complete option instead of upgrade when you reach that portion of the win7 install. Then you need to select part ion 4 like you have stated and format it to ntfs.
But it seems that you've already done all of that. My advice would be to go back to the Mac side, restore the partition using bootcamp and again partition it. You need at least 25gb of space for 64 bit. I would recommend using at least 40gb. Just trying to help. I apologize if I misunderstood your problems. But make sure you click on the opposite choice of upgrade, I did my mini last night lol but I can't remember the exact name of the option I think it's complete, then select part 4 and click format....

I have tried rebooting, signing in and signing out, installing Java and even testing the Java to make sure it's running properly (and it is), and nothing is working.

Did you reinstall CS3 after CC?
For that matter, doing an in-place upgrade on the OS is always a gamble with Adobe programs. Reinstalling all the versions you need, in order, would probably solve your problem.
And you shouldn't need to save as IDML after opening the .inx in CC.

Broblems installing and using PS Elements 11

I have installed PSE 11, shop bought and boxed.
Installed o.k
When you go to launch the program from the desktop, the organiser screen pops up. Press accept and it pops up again, it wont go past this.
I have clicked on a picture, this brings up the elements screen, accept that and it goes to a PSE 11 trial screen. I have even filled in my serial and the tick appears, click continue........ back to elements screen and the cycle repeats.
I have used cheaper non adobe products and free ones, I don't expect this sort of trouble from a brand name leader.

IPhoto 6 Problem when editing using Photoshop Elements 3.0

Please can someone help. If I edit a photo in photoshop elements 3.0 from iPhoto and then click the save button I get an option box that requires the quality and save settings. I've selected the best quality but I then have a choice of saving in base standard, base optimised or progressive. If I choose any of these options, when I go back into iPhoto the skin tones etc. have changed (they have a more reddish look about them)on that picture. Please can someone advise me how to save without it altering the colour of my photos. Editing in iPhoto doesn't effect the colour at all.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. It's not that setting (I use Base Standard) but the fact that PE3 may be adding a color profile to the file that is different to what was there originally. Go to the Photoshop Elements menu and select Color Settings... option. There you can set it to have "No color management". (I'm running PE2 so the menu selections may be different than PE3). Then see if that will make a difference.
