I am having trouble changing the Apple ID on icloud? How do I do it?

I recently got an Iphone 5s....changed my Itunes ID and now the icloud on the phone does not recognized the new ID. How do I change this?

You can't simply change the details.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)

When you go into iCloud there is an option to delete the account. The help desk advised me that using this option only deletes it on the phone and not the actual Apple ID. If you delete it you are given an option to keep content associated with this ID on the phone, which may be a good idea unless you want to completely refresh your phone.
Once you delete the account, you can then enter a new Apple ID.
I've just done it and it worked fine, leaving the original Apple ID intact and working on another phone.

Unfortunately, you cannot do very much with your phone unless you get assistance from the previous owner, they should either provide you with the password to unlock it or remove their account from the phone entirely remotely through iCloud.com > Find My Phone.

I recently updated my apple ID and password. However, my iCloud on my MacBook Pro and my iPhone 4S don't recognize that either have changed, so I keep getting locked out of my iCloud. You have to sign out completely and then sign back in on all your devices.
On a Mac, System Preferences>iCloud and click 'Sign Out'
On an iOS device, Settings>iCloud and click 'Delete Account' (this will not delete the account from the server).

Does it show a Delete Account option at the bottom of Settings > iCloud? What happens if you hit that?

I have changed my Apple ID. It works on all aspects of my phone except iCloud where I cannot change the Apple ID. It keeps asking for the password for my old ID and will not allow me to change the ID for iCloud in my phone. I have logged out using my Apple ID in settings and signed in again. This did not change it in iCloud.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
When you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the other ID. When you delete the account it will prompt you about what to do with the iCloud data. If you need to migrate it and merge it with the data in the new account choose Keep on My iDevice; then choose Merge to upload the data and merge it with the new account. If your data is already in the other account and you don't need to migrate it to the other account, choose Delete from My iDevice.

How do I change an iPad's iCloud Apple ID without deleting that entire iCloud account? When I go to Settings>iCloud on this iPad, the Apple ID email address is not an active field, so I cannot enter the new Apple ID. I had a similar issue with my iPad, it was asking for what essentially was a username - back before you needed an actual email address, god knows why, so I ignored it during the setup process and once the home screen loaded up it asked my for my details and hey presto it was fine.
If you don't get asked for your details right away you can add them by going to Settings>iTunes & App Store
