I am having trouble distributing my PDF form

I have been creating PDF forms in formscentral and am having trouble distributing them via email. I tried to use the chat support but because I have a free trial they told me I could only get help on the forum

Thats what I tried to do but when the user goes to open it it opens in there web browser instead of Adobe Reader (they do have Adobe Reader XI) and they are not able to fill it out and send back to me

How do you change the default return email when distributing a PDF form

Hello everyone,
I am trying to distrube a pdf form as a customer survey to various client/contact emails. As a test, I chose to distribute the form, filled in the form distribution information and I send the form to myself. However, when I filled it out and chose 'submit form' it prompted me with the return email address that I know is incorrect and want to change.
As the author of the form, I need to change the default return email address, but there is no option to do so when I choose to distribute the pdf form or any new form that I create (only prompted me the very first time I chose to distribute a form).
Does anyone know how to change the return email address and information for form distribution? Can someone please help me with this?

The email address that it uses it what is set in the Identity user preference: Edit > Preferences > Identity > Email Address
so change it there before you distribute.

Thanks CtDave, for the further info. Unfortunately, those suggestions are not working, which is strange.
....Until last week, I used to make multi-page PDFs straight from Photoshop: File > Automate > Make PDF. One simply choses the files, orders them, and creates a PDF. (Resolution doesn't matter; 300 DPI is no problem.) However, my new Photoshop CS5 does not have the option in Automate.
What I've done, seeing as Acrobat is letting me down, is use Bridge (new to me) to create the PDF. It worked without a problem, but seems like more work than the old PS method. I will download a newer version of Acrobat to see if that makes any difference.
.....Also, thanks Test Screen Name: I agree with you that jpeg is irrelevant, and that one can make a PDF from Photoshop (Print > Save As - pdf). But that only works for SINGLE PAGE pdf, not multiple pages as far as I can tell.

I've had better luck converting my PDF forms to WORD documents by first printing to PDF so that I get a "non-form" PDF then saving as try67 noted. The conversion came out much cleaner. In my case it i for folks that need to make edits to the format or data submitted to us via PDF form - the type of edits that would be challenging if done to a PDF.

Hmm, "Use Adobe Reader" should launch the PDF outside of Firefox in the stand-alone Adobe Reader application, so seeing it in a tab is something of a puzzle.
Could you check your version of Adobe Reader? For Windows 7, you normally would have the Reader XI series (Reader 11), which has had several updates. From inside Adobe Reader, you can use Help > Check for Updates to make sure it's current.
In Firefox, could you check your Adobe Acrobat plugin version or possibly versions? You can view that on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins. If you find multiple versions, this can cause problems and may need to be cleaned up manually (post back on that for suggestions).
Sometimes, the settings file which stores those download handler preferences becomes corrupted and there's not much else to do than to rename or remove that file and let Firefox rebuild it.
To do that, open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
* (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
* type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter

Trouble opening a PDF form (getting blank tab)

I'm having an issue in Firefox on Windows 7. My company's intranet has a PDF form that I need to complete but it won't open properly. With the option for PDF files set to "Use Adobe Reader", the PDF opens in a new tab but the error “This PDf document contains forms. This filling of form fields is not supported.” is shown. When I change the option to "Use Adobe Acrobat (In Firefox)", a blank tab is shown. Normally selecting "Use Adobe Acrobat (In Firefox)" works and that is what is set on other computers. I just won't work on this one. I've upgraded from Firefox 29 to 33 and that did not help. Can anyone help me?

Distributing interactive PDF form

I'm creating a PDF form for a client to post to her website. What's not clear to me from the Acrobat Pro 9 EULA is whether I'm allowed to use Acrobat Pro only for creating and distributing my own form or whether I can create them for other people to use. This is important because, obviously, if I'm only allowed to make PDF forms for myself then my client will not be allowed to use this form. Does the EULA allow users to make forms for other people? If not, that seriously limits the usefulness of Acrobat for people in the design business. Thanks.

Please help me to understand the 15.12 section. The way I read it, if I have an interactive PDF that I Reader-enable, I am allowed to distribute that form, and receive unlimited replies from, up to 500 users. I only plan on distributing this form to less than 100 users, btw. In fact, I called Adobe a couple of months ago, and the person in customer service with whom I spoke assured me that I was in compliance. Does anyone dispute my reading of the EULA in this scenario? I'm having trouble syncing my music from my home computer. (It is an older computer) When I plug in my Droid Razr HD, my computer doesn't recinise it. It tell me that It cannot install this hardware. it says that I need a disc which did not come with the phone, They also want to know the location of the software. I'm having trouble converting a Word Form to a PDF form because the table cells are importing incorrectly. How can I fix it?

I am converting a form from Word to PDF. The form includes several tables and the tables are converting with weird lines where the corners meet. I've tried everything. I've even retyped a portion of the form and tried importing it but it still had the weird lines. I'd rather not recreate the form in PDF because it's not short and I already have a perfectly good form to import. Any suggestions?

What version of Word? What version of Acrobat? How exactly are you converting the file?

I am having a problem printing pdf forms from the USDA FSA web site

The forms can be populated and printed but not saved. Each time I populate a form and try to print it the website stops responding. I have try without populating the form, I ve tryed different forms, different printer and system. restarting the computer, flushing my cache. I can print other pdf files, I can populate and print from other website. It only happening to me at the USDA FSA website after selecting an eform such as FSA 2002. Any help out there?

You should be able to right click on the PDF in the site and save the form. Even if you can not, once the form is displayed it is actually saved to the TEMP folder and you could play with that version. You will not be able to save the form with any data included, only the form itself since you are using Reader (by the way, there is a separate forum for Reader that might provide better answers).
To avoid the problems you mention with the web site, I would do the download of the form if at all possible and work directly in Reader on your system. That might solve the printing problem you are having. When I opened it yesterday, there was some linking to the site that I found a bit unusual, but I did not find anything in the PDF that would have done that -- I did not spend a lot of time looking for such things that would be typical of some JavaScript or such.

I have been working on a pdf in Adobe Reader 9.3 on 2007 Microsoft Windows v5.1. The pdf is set up as a form that I can enter data into. Last time I worked on it I saved it, and then when I went to open it the next time I had the following error message: "There was an error opening this document. There was a problem reading this document (14)."
I have tried to recover the pdf by going to www.datanumen.com/apdf but when I try to repair the pdf I get another error message: "Xml parsing error: not well formed (invalid token) (error code 4), line 12874, column 20 of file." The second error message looks like the problem has been pinpointed but I don't know how to fix it.Could you please let me know if there is any way to recover this file?

Could you please also let me know which version of Adobe Reader are you currently using. If you are not using Reader 9.4.6 (which is the latest version of Adobe Reader), can you try updating to the latest released version by
1. Launching Adobe Reader
2. Clicking on Help > Check for Updates
3. When prompted click on Download followed by Install.
This will update Reader to the latest version.
Also, please verify if this issue that you are facing is with a specific PDF alone or is the issue happening with all PDFs that you are trying to print from Win7.
