I am having trouble downloading a movie with my iPod

I had purched a movie on Feb. 23/14 and I had trouble with the downloading. I had a friend of mine help me with the problem, but now it is taking so many tries to download it. It re-started at least four times now. I wish it could just download already. This movie costed me $19.99 (without taxes) and I would like to have it available so I can watch it. I am asking for help, please.

Delete stuff off of the iPad to make room for it.

What is this all about? When ever I download music or a tv episode on my ipod, it downloads perfectly fine onto my laptop afterwards.

It sounds like you made a purchase on the iTunes Store but it is not showing on your computer as available for purchase, and instead the iTunes Store shows that it needs to be purchased again. I would verify that the purchase was successful with your purchased history in iTunes with this article:

If you see it there, then use this article to download it from iTunes in the Cloud:

Does this involve iPhoto in some way? Perhaps you need the iMovie forum? If you do ask there be sure to include whatever format the Camera is shooting.

I agree. I don't rely on iCloud as a backup, that is what I have my portable hard drive for. Its 500 GB so I can hold my entire iTunes library several times over on it. I have all my movies on my hard drive, but somehow "The Mist" got deleted off of my hard drive, so I figured "Well, the option to redownload an already purchased movie is available through iCloud, I'll just do that!"
And permissions and download availability have nothing to do with it, the movie's still there, it still allows me to redownload it. The only problem is when I click download, I get that message.
And nobody else uses my computer, but I do have multiple accounts authorized on it. Even still though, I am attepmpting to download it through the account I purchased it under. :/
