I am having trouble downloading attachments from email

I have an iPad 2 that has been upgraded to IOS 7.0.4. This was a problem before the update - which is the reason for the update but that's another story.
So for now, iPad 2 IOS 7.0.4 16GB wifi/cell model
I am having trouble downloading attachments. Not all. but some. a movie in particular and some documents.
I would thingk it was the email account but I can open it on my iPhone without issue.
I would've thought the link was bad but I forwarded it one of my other email accounts and it opens fine.
I have restarted, rebooted, deleated the mail account and reloaded it.
Still nothing. I have tried to save the video by clicking the "Save Video" icon when you tap and hold the video but it never saves.
Sometimes it will act like it is going to save because I get a black screen and a rotating flower in the middle of the screen and it says "Loading" but it never does anything. Other times it will just give me a message that says "Can't download attachement".
Any one have any thoughts?

What is your connection via speedtest.net ?
Check istumbler or netstumbler to verify network interference
Make sure DNS is set correctly (settings - general - network - configure DNS - automatic)

If you have not done so already, I recommend updating Final Cut Pro X to 10.0.5.
And if that doesn't work, download the following applicaton (FREE) and use it to convert your footage to Apple ProRes, or another compatible video coded/format...

You need to be a little more specific about what trouble you are having.
ADE2.0 is a load of junk, but it can usually download library books ok.
Some suggestsions meanwhile ....
Have you specifically registered your copy of ADE with your Adobe ID?
Sometimes ADE gets its registration/activation confused and in a semi-authorized state.
Unfortunately, it often then gives misleading error messages about what is wrong.
Try completely removing any authorization using ctrl-shift-D to ADE (cmd-shift-D if on Mac).
Restart ADE, and then reauthorize with your Adobe ID.
There are lots of bugs in ADE2.0. Try replacing ADE2.0 with the older but more reliable v1.7.2.
(You can have them both installed at once if you like.)
Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.

I would like to do this on automator rather than applescript.
I have tried using "get an especific mail item" and then "get attachments", but it does not work.

TS3276 i am having trouble with my exchange emails. I use the latest exchange 2010 and am having trouble downloading all my emails on the macbook

I use a microdost exchange 2010 in my office. I just bought a macbook pro and try to syn my office mail. While it has been set up properlly and it has started downloading some of my older emails, it is taking very long and does not download all the mails especially the new ones. The ones it has downloaded take a long time to load and open.
I bought the laptop to use it on the go. What is the solution? Please help.

Startup your Mac while holding down the Option key. That should prompt the Startup Manager window where you can select the startup disk then click Restart.
If the startup disk is not available from that window, you may be able to repair the disk.

10.8.2 Computer will not download attachments from Email

My email will not let me download any type of file, I belive it is because I stupidly deleted my maildownloads folder. it says:
"Mail was unable to save the attachment “whatever file” to disk. Verify that your downloads folder exists and is writable.
How do I remake this folder or this that not the problem?

Please follow these directions to delete the Mail "sandbox" folder.
Back up all data.
Triple-click the line below to select it, then copy it to the Clipboard (command-C):
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail
Quit Mail.
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return. A Finder window should open with a folder named "com.apple.mail" selected. If it does, move the selected folder — not just its contents — to the Desktop. Leave the Finder window open for now.
Relaunch Mail and test. If the problem is resolved, you'll have to recreate some of your Mail settings. You can then delete the folder you moved and close the Finder window. If you still have the problem, quit Mail again and put the folder back where it was, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Post your results.
Caution: If you change any of the contents of the sandbox, but leave the folder itself in place, Mail may crash or not launch at all. Deleting the whole sandbox will cause it to be rebuilt automatically.

I can't download attachments from emails! Help please!

Lately, I cannot open or download any Word documents or PDFs that have been sent to my email account. I wondered if anyone could help me to rectify this please? I use a MacBook (one of the old white ones - maybe time to invest in a new one????)

I much prefer Firefox to safari! I have an imac and I also use gmail. I tried to send an attachment document from my computer while I was in Firefox from Gmail. It would not do it and I could not close gmail nor close Firefox to try to start over. Tried this 2x. Force Quit and everything. I then started up in Safari and all went well. Is Firefox somehow less compatible with Google and gmail and Apple then Safari? I am assuming Apple and Google are separate companies but sometimes one wonders?? So what can I do to make a smooth attachment from my Imac to gmail attachment in Firefox? I really prefer Firefox it loads better and less spinning wheel. I think a lot of people agree with me. Please help!! We must have alternatives to Safari and Firefox is the best as far as I know...

I'm having trouble downloading docs from icloud

I have prepared many documents on my iPad2 using only Apple apps, Numbers, and Pages. For some reason only some of the documents will upload to the cloud and others won't. I have an interesting problem now where a Numbers document was created on the iPad and when I go into the documents folder in Numbers it just shows a downward facing arrow in the upper right corner. When I tap that document, it won't do anything. I went to my iMac and the document is in the iCloud Numbers folder but won't download. It is just essentially a non functioning icon. To try to correct this, I have gone to iCloud in settings on the iPad and turned the documents off, closed the app and reopened the app and turned the iCloud documents back on. I have not yet deleted the account and reinstalled it as I am afraid to lose the content. I guess I am not sure that it is in the cloud or not. Any suggestions?
