If you have a serial number, you simply need to enter it into the proper fields.
Since you don't say what version of Lightroom, and what sections are "blocked off", let me guess that you have Lightroom CC, and you need to enter the serial number to turn it into Lightroom 6. If the photos were synced from your computer then with your iPad connected to and selected on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, then on the right-hand side on the Photos tab select an empty folder and sync just that to the iPad and the currently synced photos should be removed from the iPad - that won't affect your iPhone unless you also do the same de-selection when it's connected.
If the photos were taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc then you can copy them off the iPad first (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083) and you can then delete them directly on the iPad in the Photos app via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it

I'm having trouble installing photoshop cc through the creative cloud app. My PC is windows 8, I'm sure that's not a problem, right? It takes a long time to move up every percent and then after 10% it says that it failed to install nothing else. Another time it just said error. I need help please! I need this program ASAP! I could really use Customer Service help. I received Photoshop Elements as a gift for Christmas...I waiting until i got a new laptop so that I could use that as i was having trouble with older computer. However, I am having trouble installing the software...I swear the dvd added the programs, and I saw them in files explorer i think, but then I cannot find or I was not even able to add the serial number to my knowledge, because it was blank...no keystrokes were shown...and i don't see the program anywhere...Could I have down something wrong and it is somewhere in the cloud?

Hi all, hopefully someone can help me with a problem I'm having installing photoshop elements 12 on my vista pc. Basically I have tried downloading the trial via the download assistant but the program will not load or show any signs of working after I download it. I have also attempted to directly download the trial from Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Direct Download Links, Premiere too | ProDesignTools but file 1 only seems to download a 1.5mb file that will not open (similar to the download assistant). File 2 will download but upon unpacking it, the installer program in the download will not respond.
I have tried turning all of my antivirus off, and have been downloading with firefox as opposed to internet explorer. I have not had any error messages pop up as no programs or downloads I have tried even seem to load up.
Any help that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I found several related articles, but none of them could solve my problem. I got a new computer with Windows 8 on it, and I was going to install Photoshop CS6 on it, but then I got this dialogue.
Restarting the machine doesn't do anything; as the dialogue will just reappear. I had this same problem with my last computer too a year ago, but I eventally chose to ignore it then. I was able to install Photoshop successfully but there were features that didn't behave the way they were suppose to. I took record that the layers did not work independently and that the fill tool acted glitchy. When I ignored the dialogue while trying to install Illustrator and InDesign CS6, there were features that do not behave the same with them as well.
Now I really don't want to just ignore the installer this time around. I got a new computer, and I really want everything to work out. I really think that this dialogue is indicating some type of error, and I really want to work it out before I install anything. I don't want to go through the same issues again.

Photoshop has been installed. I'm thinking that there has been a different problem with my previous computer. Before, the dialogue kept popping up. Right now, it looks like everything is working. There was a very long reboot that worried me, but I think it may have been a Windows problem; as someone else with Windows 8 went through the same thing. Thank you.

When downloading Photoshop CC everthing seems to be working fine until it get towards the end of downloading and a screen pops up saying that I'm missing files or something and couldnt be completed and it suggests that i download Adobe Support to see what is missing. Well i do download Adobe Support and it tells me that there is nothing missing or wrong with my computer so i dont see why the screen saying "you missing files" keeps coming up and im hoping to solve this problem soon because I'm using this free trial for a class that way i dont have to always go into the computer room i can just work on my project from home.

Ptreojo74 can you please post a screen shot of the error you are seeing? The error you have described should not occur with the version of Photoshop you are referencing. Also which operating system are you using?

Doesn't matter if you got it on disk or downloaded.
You've purchased a serial number and, in your case, got a disc and box as added extras.
You can always download the trial version from the Adobe website with any browser and activate that with your serial number.

I am bothering to post just to report - in case useful to others - that I was able to get round the same problem as the original poster, like jsm02, by booting into "safe mode with networking". Rebooting the machine and using the f8 key during the boot sequence, to select the alternate startup "safe mode with networking", seemed more straightforward than the instructions at http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/restart-windows-modified-mode-windows.html, which looks like it would involve a certain amount of guessing which services should be disabled / enabled.
The complaints about Microsoft redistributables I got in the install-fail-report were as pasted in below, in case helpful to others seeing same. The report advised double-clicking various packages to retry those parts of the install - or downloading the latest same from Microsoft. I would suggest checking Control Panel -> Programs and Features first, as you may simply find that you already have these C++ redistributables installed (as they were in my case).
And wouldn't it be nice if the Adobe Installer could fail more gracefully - or indeed not even fail at all! - if it finds required components are already installed. For Adobe customers on slow broadband lines, being forced into a second download that takes circa 3 hours (for just one of the CC apps), because of an installer that can't handle items already being installed, is not a great experience - would hope Adobe can iron this out of the installation process.
Hope that this further detail is useful to others facing same problem.
