I have recently restored my iPod touch by computer and am having trouble signing in to my Apple ID for messages and Facetime. I enter the correct email and password but keeps saying that it is a network error.

Are you trying to sign in with App Store Apple ID or, another ID that isn't associated with your device?

Clear Safari, close Safari and reboot the iPad. Then try again.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data.
Tap the home button once. Then tap the home button twice and the recents tray will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the Safari icon. Tap the home button twice.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
Tried to open a pdf document with Acrobat XI Pro Trial and sign in popped up , I keyed in my username and password but it doesnt respond its like grey with the four dots rotating forever. Any solution Please ?????

How are you connected to the internet? Are you behind a particularly secure corporate firewall? Are you on Mac or Windows? Do you have any anti-malware software running on your machine that may be preventing applications other than your browser from connecting to the internet?
You may try to follow the steps below:
1.Close the Creative Cloud application.
2.Navigate to the OOBE folder.
Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
Mac OS: /Users/[user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE folder
3.Delete the opm.db file.
4.Launch Creative Cloud.

It does not have to be your iCloud ID.
It can be any Apple ID that has had any email verified.
This issue can arise if the computer has had a Logic board replaced and the Serial number not put back on it.
Use the Apple Menu top left > About this Mac
Click twice on the line that currently tell you the OS version.
Is the Serial Number present ?

I am trying to create rules that would copy the incoming email to a cloud folder ( depending on sender ) and move the actual email from the inbox to a local folder on my laptop.
The problem i seem to be having is the first rule ( regardless of whether it is copy or move ) shows ok but when i press the + button it does not bring up a new filter window as it used to.
Totally confused on this one, can anyone help?

Oh, latest versions of everything!!!!I'm having difficulty visualizing what is wrong but try some basic steps first:
Launch Safari while holding a Shift key - this will start Safari with just your Home page
If you can see Reset Safari from the Safari menu, try that.
In addition to downloading and installing Safari again, try reapplying just the Snow Leopard Combo Update: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399 There is no need to uninstall Safari first.
Lastly try deleting Safari's Preferences file: ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist -

Are you getting any messages about date and time.
Have you tried restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Are you connected to the network correctly. -

Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.

I have just got a new password and my partner has my old one. I loaded several apps onto my new Ipad. I now have an update on my Oxford Dictionary App. It will not update using my new ID and password and will not update using my former ID and password. All I get is "cannot connect to Itune Store. If I delete App and reinstall under new name - no problem with other apps- but I don't want to pay another $59.00 for the Dictionary. How do I get Itune store to allow the update?
Purchases are tied to the Apple ID they were purchased with. If you use a new ID, you have to buy again.

aI have a new email and password for my Icloud account and have a HP Pavillon laptop. Cnt sign into Icloud/ It says connection error! I had Icloud on my HP Pavillon before.
I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option? -

I am having trouble signing into the App Store to purchase an app for the Mac (Facetime for Mac). I have an Apple ID that works perfect with iTunes, additionally I used the same Apple ID to login to this support forum, again, no problems. However when I attempt to use it for the App Store, I get a message that reads, your password is invalid, it must have upper case, and lower case, and numbers etc. I am a single user, one person with one Apple ID on one iMac. Thank you for your time and help.
Thank you. My Apple ID does NOT contain an upper case letter, and yet it works fine when signing into iTunes, and this help forum. But again, the App Store wants a PW with an upper, lower case and number. Perhaps I will have to make that minor change. Thank you again.
