I am having trouble using Firefox as my way to get onto the internet

I just installed some updates from Microsoft, and since I did this I can't get onto Mozilla Firefox using my icon on my desktop..please help me

On my netbook, I installed Firefox 4.0.1 from the Firefox web page. Now The netbook cannot open Firefox and cannot get onto the internet. System restore doesn't work. What can I do?

At the end of the installation process, I received the message that (some applications?) were not compatible with Firefox and should Firefox search for (some applications?) that would be compatible. I answered no. When the netbook restarted only one of the two user icons was showing. The user icon I use all the time was not showing. I did system restore to try to go back to before I did the installation and I got both icons, but Firefox does not open. Firefox does not open with either icon. I am using my old PC to write this message and I will not install the new version of Firefox on this PC until I can once again get onto the Net with my netbook. It is also possible that there is a problem with the files [http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js sessionstore.js] and sessionstore.bak in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder]
Delete the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.<br />
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note).

June 10 2012 Firefox automatically updated itself (no choice) on my Intel Mac/Tiger 10.4.11. I can no longer use Firefox. I have an old version of Firefox on my Mac G4, but am scared to use that machine in case that Firefox also automatically updates itself. How can I transfer a copy of that older version of Firefox (from the G4) to the Intel Mac, and how do I stop both versions from then automatically updating? How do I then remove the updated version of Firefox from the Intel Mac, which I cannot use? Thank you for your help.

How do I switch from"Offline Mode" when using Firefox on an android device connected to the internet via Bluetooth.

I have been using my tf300. Everytime I try to open Firefox on the tablet while using a Bluetooth connection, the only screen that Firefox opens is a generic screen displaying "Offline mode". Is there a way to switch it to online mode or am I only able to use the browser on a wifi signal??

I am one of the individuals who use a third-party app to tether internet connection from my phone for my tablet. When using the stock browser, i have no problems, but when i try to use firefox, all the is displayed is an "Offline Mode" screen. See if the "stable" version released on 30 June is compatible with Firefox 5.0. That page doesn't mention which versions of Firefox it is compatible with, a serious oversight, IMO. <br />

I am having trouble with our Comcast e-mails. Going thtough the internet oprion they are fine, but not through your website.

When using your website to access Comcast and our e-mails the e-mails are disorganized and words above them are out of line. If I access Comcast through internet explorer the inbox and e-mails are normal. I have re-booted the computer countless times and reset the modem to no avail. It appears that the issue is with Firefox.

After years of using firefox, it suddenly will not connect to the internet. Internet Explorer connects with no problem.

I'm having trouble using or uninstalling Adobe Reader, i get a message when the programme has been anitiated which says Adobe Reader has encountered a problem and needs to close, i went on to Adobe's website and it said try uninstalling Adobe Reader and then re-install it as this sometimes works, i tried un-installing it from the Add or Remove programme but that didn't work either as i got another message telling me that the patch package could not be verified and to make sure i have permission.

In the Paths panel, click the flyout menu (in the top right of the panel) and choose Make Selection (this option will only be available if you have a path selected). Reduce the Feather Radius to 0 (zero) and click OK. This setting will be the default even when clicking the Load Path as Selection button.
