I am having trouble with a photo book when I preview

I am having trouble submitting a photo book because the images are showing up funny when I preview. Can you help me to fix this problem? I spent weeks making this as a gift. Am so disappointed.

Having trouble with iCloud Photo Stream on a Windows Vista 64 machine. Can you tell me why Photo Stream will not stay enabled. When I reboot, it will disable not to mention that it will not get any pushed photos. Is there a 64 bit version?

This section in particluar:
I get an "Unsupported Apple ID" error when I try to sign in to iCloud from my iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
Depending on how you created your Apple ID, you may not be able to create an iCloud account with your current Apple ID. If your Apple ID works in the iTunes Store, App Store, Game Center, FaceTime, or with other Apple Services, your Apple ID should work for iCloud. Also, if you created your Apple ID while you applied for a job at jobs.apple.com, your Apple ID should work for iCloud. If you cannot use your Apple ID with any Apple Services, it might not be compatible with iCloud. Contact iCloud Support for assistance.

Why is iphoto having trouble with rotating photos all of a sudden?

i've been using iphoto for a few years. suddenly it un-rotated all of my auto-rotated photos (which screwed up all of my face tags) and now when i upload new photos, if they auto-rotate during the upload they appear in the preview of a whole event, but if i double-click to see a vertical photo, or try to do a slideshow, i get the triangle with an exclamation point in it, indicating that something's wrong with the file. is anyone else having this trouble? or have any idea what to do?

I've never used the Flickr feature so don't know if that as any bearing on the problem. if you're satisfied with the newly "fixed" library you can delete the copy of the original library that you made.
However, since you're having problems with rotated photos you might try this and see if the new library has the rotated photos displayed correctly:
Start over from scratch with new library
Start over with a new library and import the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from your original library as follows:
1. Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
2. Open the library package like this.

3. Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
4. Drag the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from the iPhoto Library on the desktop into the open iPhoto window.

This will create a new library with the same Events as the original library but will not keep the metadata, albums, books slideshows and other projects.
If the rotated photos display correctly in this new library then the problem lies with the orther libraries being damages somehow. You may want to stay with the new library even though the projects, i.e. books, etc. and keywords are lost.
If you have a lot of keywords in your current library and want to move them to the new library you can by doing this:
1 - open the old library and select one photo.
2 - type Command+K to brinb up the keyword pane.
3 - click on all of the keywords that are not blue so that all of the keywords are blue.
4 - export that photo to the Desktop via the File ➙ Export ➙ File Export menu option. Select Kind=JPEG and check the two check boxes regarding keywords, locations, etc.
5 - open the new library with iPhoto and import the exported photo from the Desktop. That will bring in all of the keywords so that you don't have to recereate them one by one in the new library.

There is also a setting in restrictions - Settings>General>Restrictions>Privacy>Photos and one for Facebook, did you restrict anything in there?

Having troubles with aspect and size when exporting to CD

I would like to export my pics to a CD so i can send them out to be printed in a lab. I'm confused with the aspect ratio when I crop them i know I have to lock the aspect but should I keep it on Original? Also i'm wondering when it comes to export them what size should I be placing if I want to print all sizes. like some 8x10 and some 4x6 and so on. I'm working with Lightroom 3. Thanks in advance : )

The crop aspect lock only comes into play while you are actively resizing the crop boundary. LR always works in a freehand manner, except that if the ratio is locked, adjusting the crop frame is allowed to alter its size and location and angle - but not its shape. If the ratio is not locked, you will be changing the crop shape freely if/when you drag the corner or edge handles around. The rest of the time, the lock makes no difference; and it is just as possible BTW to lock a random freehand aspect ratio, as it is to lock one of the standard preset ones.
If you are uploading an exported copy for printing, you could simply upload a JPG made at the original resolution (as cropped for composition and angle) - that is, unchecking the whole resizing section of the Export dialog - and give the printer instructions as to how large the various prints are to be. Or I suppose, you could resize to the largest of the sizes that you require, but you will then need to negotiate a pixels-per-inch "resolution" setting that will be appropriate - since, when resizing to a page size, this figure governs the pixel content of the file produced.
I would suggest that in the case of an export without resizing, where a generous quantity of pixels are included for the sorts of page sizes mentioned, you will likely not see any discernible printed benefit from setting the highest JPG quality setting for your export, but will be fine with around quality 6 to 8 - which brings the file sizes down significantly. Most often, printing services will presume that you have selected sRGB colourspace for your export, unless something different has been pre-agreed.

HT204264 I am having trouble with the Photos app.

I have a 2011 macbook air with a core i7 and 8 megs of ram and a 512 gb hard drive that has plenty of space left. When I upgraded to 10.10.3, it switched my iPhotos app for Photos. Now when I run the app, it makes my fan go crazy and my processor usage goes through the roof on activity monitor. When I quit, everything goes back to normal. I have about 7000 pics and iPhoto would be slow when I would use it, but not like this. I thought Photos was supposed to be able to handle large photo libraries. I haven't heard of anybody else having this problem online. The only thing I can think of is when I started it up and it was "optimizing" or something, I ignored that message and closed it or something. But now I have let it run overnight and it shows no improvement. Thanks for any help you can offer!

Not to worry, you're not the first to expect Print to finish by returning you to the edit mode. The thing is that Printing is so hit and miss with this version of the app, you will probably want to stay in the Print window for more than one attempt.

Hi, well im quite new to this but im having major problems with deleting pictures. Im able to delete the ones i have took from my ipod but cant delete the ones i have synced from the laptop to my ipod. Also i can view them on the ipod and not on the laptop. Thanks that really helped, well iv got another problem now. When i go on photos im able to see my pictures i put in my ipod through the laptop 'ipod cache photos' which im happy about but iv got another folder called 'photo library' with the exact pictures as 'ipod cache photos'. Now i wanted to know what folder is meant to be there and also how to delete the one thats not meant to be there. Thanks

I have been using this program to create books and submitting them to shutterfly and I have not been able to get through with this last one. Anything going on with Adobe. It says that java is not supporting it or something.

It's not a virus.
You may have inadvertently installed adware. Eradicating it is simple and you don't have to download or install anything to fix it. For an explanation or how this may have occurred, how to avoid it in the future, and for one possible solution read How to install adware.

Is anyone having trouble with people hearing them when they answer the 4s?

When I answer my 4s the other person has a hard time hearing me. Just wondering if there is something wrong with my phone or if others are having the same problem.

I just recently got the Ipad and am having trouble with the location services when ever i am on the verizon wireless router the apps cannot seam to locate me does anyone know why this would happen verizon does not?

IPhoto: trouble with sending photos via gmail.

For some reasons, for about one or two months ago start having troubles with sending photos from iPhoto via gmail.
It used to work perfectly, but now refuses to send photos. Pop up message says that there are some trouble with accessing accounts.
Once I restart my computer it works well again.

Then click the Show Details button & Check again.
