I am having trouble with xfinity e mail using browser, SAFARI

I too had this issue. I was recently an employee and user of Comcast and they do not support Safari. Some functions work, many don't. I used Firefox and had no issues. I also set up my mail using MAC MAIL and didn't have any issues with that.

I have an iPad 3, iPad Mini and iPhone 5S and they are all sluggish on capitalisation using shift keys. I hope that Apple will solve the problem because it is driving me crazy.
I find using a Microsoft Surface and Windows 8 phone, which I also have, work as well as all the ios devices before the ios 7 upgrade.
It has something to do with the length of time that you need to hold the shift key down. The shift key needs to be held longer than the letter key for the capitalisation to work. For some reason, this is a major change in the way we have learnt to touch type on computers. I am having to relearn how to type!

Having trouble with First Class mail

I'm trying to use my email at school (Benito Juarez Community Academy) and also set up Gradespeed but having trouble with both.
In composing mail, the screen will only accept a line or so and no more. I can mail that but message is incomplete. Also, can't get into Gradespeed. All I get is a multicolored pinwheel that is a security check but never stops spinning.

In mail, if you click on window, then connection doctor, what does it tell you about your mail accounts? If there's an issue, the receive and/or send status will be red .. green if OK.

HT5361 I am having trouble with closing the mail app so that I can shut off my laptop. the menu bar under file doesn't give me the option to quit. that option is lister, but it is faded. command Q will not close mail either.

I am unable to shut off my laptop because I can not close the mail app. Command Q doesn't work. While "quit mail" shows up under FILE on the menu bar, it is faded and not a working option. Mail appears to be frozen. I also can not pull up the mail page despite the app being open. Clicking on the mail icon does nothing and there are no available options under the menu bar. Help, please! Try force-quitting (command-option-esc).

Anyone having trouble with the proximity sensor using the otterbox defender case?

When I have the otterbox case on my proximity sensor is not working at all making it difficult talking on the phone I keep hitting mute etc with my cheek if I take the case off it works fine so its not the phone itself but I need the Case for protection any suggestions?

Hi I had this problem with my wifes case, my defender worked fine, turned out it was her white inner case. Did you get the Pink on white one? If so, I've been told you can color in the proximity sensor area of the defender with a black sharpie (on the white part) and that shouold fix your problem.
I just tried that as I have her case here still and coloring the proximity sensor area black worked.

I am having trouble with rendereing my project using a windows computer

Whenever I try to render my project as I make changes or add new clips and hit the render button it will close the program and say there was an error. Any ideas??

Trouble with work e-mail using Outlook 2007

I am trying to add a work email to outlook 2007, using web access with a https://company address here/ the company provided me with, I have been googling this for some time and can't seem to find any relevant answer to this. this closest I have found
is that it may be a configuration problem with Outlook 2007, but there is no mention of a fix.

Please can someone shed any light on where i'm going wrong.
I have a pdf form that uses a drop down menu for the SubBrand and a series of checkboxes for the Location.
the following code is placed as a custom calculation script in an address text field and what im after is dynamically setting the address based on the subbrand and location.
However whats happening is the address only changes based on the location and not the subbrand.
Does anyone please have any advice on this.

Thanks for the tip GIlad I've amended my code but am still experiencing the issue, im at a loss as to what is preventing the address field from changing when the subbrand changes.
Can you suggest anything else that may be preventing this from happening?

I recently bought a macbook for college, and I am having trouble with my e-mail. I have an account on outlook express that works well, and i just wanted to know if there is any way that I could access it from this laptop.
I am going to college and they send me important stuff, so I need that address. If it is not possible then what kind of e-mail address should i make (yahoo, etc.)

OK, from the sound of your post, you have a limited knowledge about email. Let me see if I can help. I would guess that you have a Windows machine that you have used in the past. Your email address must be a "pop" address. That means that your internet service provider has a server where your mail is sent. This is different than a web mail address, that is accessed remotely with a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari. You must then be using an email program, such as Outlook Express, to go get the email onto your local machine. Any email program can do this. Open up the accounts tab in Outlook Express, and write down the settings. There will be one for the incoming server, and one for the outgoing server. Now, on your Mac, you can use the email program provided, such as Mac Mail, and put the settings in there. You can now send and receive to your Mac using your supplied email address. You can use another program such as Thunderbird to do this if you want. You don't have to use Mac Mail.
Getting your old email off of the Windows computer is a bit harder, so hopefully you don't need to do that. But if you do, I can direct you on how to do that also.

Trouble getting Comcast e-mail on Droid 2

Considering returning my newly purchased Droid 2 (and switching to AT&T to get latest Blackberry) because it does not consistently get my Comcast acct emails. I worked with Verizon tech today and downloaded K-9 Mail app which worked beautifully for about 15 minutes. The e-mail app that came on the Droid worked okay for a few days and then it didn't. I've seen posts in non-Verizon groups recounting problems that others are having with Droid and Comcast e-mail, but none of them seem to have found solutions that last. Anybody have success with Comcast e-mail and Droid 2?

I've been having trouble with Comcast mail on my wife's Droid 1 as well. Pehaps we need to follow up with comcast on this issue as well.
In her case the problem is that she marks stuff as read and then a few minutes later she get's a notification telling her that there is new email. The ones that she just marked as read.
She also had a set of emails (8 or so) that no matter what, the phone kept insisting were unread. We marked them as read on the phone. Sync'd and they'd be ok for a bit, but then later would come back as unread. Marked them unread in the browser. Phone would still notify us that they were unread.

I'm having problems with my touch screen in Safari

Shortly after downloading iOS 8.0, I started having trouble with my touchscreen when in Safari. Note: I am not necessarily attributing the problem to iOS 8.0--just stating when it began to occur.
Touch commands began to not work with certain buttons on certain websites. Often, the websites seemed to freeze up. I could sometimes get the touch commands to work again if I refreshed the page.
My most frustrating encounter happened this evening, when I tried to make a purchase from a retail website I use frequently. I could use the touchscreen to accomplish all the steps in the shopping process but one: I could not get the "cart" button to work, so I could not get to the checkout screen. I refreshed and rebooted. I even downloaded iOS 8.1 and tried it again. Nothing worked. Finally, I used my wife's iPad Mini to place the order. My wife has not downloaded the new iOS 8 (neither 8.0 nor 8.1). Again, I am not necessarily implying it worked on her iPad Mini because she had not downloaded the new operating system--just stating that she had not done so.
Any idea what might be causing this? It does not appear to be a hardware problem, as my touchscreen seems to work fine in other applications.

DId you try clearing Safari, force close it and then reset the iPad?
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History and Website Data
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

In mail, I am having trouble with my cursor. It doesn't "land" where I think I'm putting it. It usually "lands" somewhere below where I "click" it to be.

Having Trouble With E-mails That Involve Animation

This is too weird. When I receive an e-mail that has animation in it it comes through freeze framed in Mail. It does not matter if it is in my .Mac account or Verizon account. Just for the heck of it I forwarded it to myself using the Verizon account and opened it in Safari. I also did the same thing with my .mac account. I opened it on the web. Bingo, I had animation. I am also having trouble with WMV's. Why can I not get any animation in Mail? Is there something I am doing wrong? any way to correct this?
