I am having trouble with mail, yahoo has started to have a problem sending, slow or not at all started before latest update, help

I noticed this at one point and what I did, which worked, was to delete the mailbox from my iPad, then reinstall it.  Give it a try and see if it helps you as well.

Any chance you use two step verification on your Yahoo account? If you've ever had to enter a code that was text messaged to you when you log into your Yahoo account on a new computer, then two step verification is probably on.
If that is the case, you'll have to generate an app specific password in the Yahoo web mail page and enter that as your password on your Apple Device instead of your standard password in Mail Settings.

  • Is anyone having problems with Yahoo mail please ?

    Hi,
I am having problems with yahoo mail.  I have to log in and out a few times before the inbox will open.  Having eventually got in, it fails to delete.
So I'm asking if others are experiencing similar problems please ?
    Best regards,
    dfenceman

    Hi,
This problem seems intermittent.  It was working OK earlier this morning but now I can't open emails, I'm getting the following error message "We’re sorry, but there appears to be a problem loading the email".
If I try forwarding the message to an alternative email address, as suggested on the Yahoo community forum, I get this error message "Yahoo Mail is having a problem retrieving the original email for reply or forward."
Has anyone got a fix, or even a workaround please ?
Can the mods help with this ?
    Best regards,
    dfenceman

  • Having trouble with Yahoo home page sign in. Some time it brings up my wife's Yahoo log in instead of my log in how can I fix this?

When I open Firefox it is suppose to take me to my Yahoo home page. But it opens up showing my wifes Yahoo sigh in page in stead of mine. Having trouble with Yahoo home page sign in. Some time it brings up my wife's Yahoo log in instead of my log in how can I fix this?

Did your wife tick the box on the Yahoo sign in page to remember her for two weeks?
It would be best two have two separate Firefox profile folders, one for each of you to prevent such problems.<br />
Then you also do not have problems with deleting or changing bookmarks.

  • Having trouble with my screen becoming larger than the phone supports.  Can this be fixed easily?

Having trouble with my screen becoming larger than my phone supports.  Can this be corrected without taking the phone to an Apple store?

The sign on screen (where the current time and the slide to unlock) and if I can get it to open, the next screen that show all the apps.  Have been unable to get any further that that second screen.  The screen contents appear to be about twice the size they should be.  I have been able to "reset" the phone by turning it off, but the problem happening several times a day and now occasioanally the reset does not work.  This just started happening about 3 days ago and is increasing in frequency.  I have had this phone about 14 months.

  • Having trouble with e-mail

I recently bought a macbook for college, and I am having trouble with my e-mail. I have an account on outlook express that works well, and i just wanted to know if there is any way that I could access it from this laptop.
I am going to college and they send me important stuff, so I need that address. If it is not possible then what kind of e-mail address should i make (yahoo, etc.)

OK, from the sound of your post, you have a limited knowledge about email. Let me see if I can help. I would guess that you have a Windows machine that you have used in the past. Your email address must be a "pop" address. That means that your internet service provider has a server where your mail is sent. This is different than a web mail address, that is accessed remotely with a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari. You must then be using an email program, such as Outlook Express, to go get the email onto your local machine. Any email program can do this. Open up the accounts tab in Outlook Express, and write down the settings. There will be one for the incoming server, and one for the outgoing server. Now, on your Mac, you can use the email program provided, such as Mac Mail, and put the settings in there. You can now send and receive to your Mac using your supplied email address. You can use another program such as Thunderbird to do this if you want. You don't have to use Mac Mail.
Getting your old email off of the Windows computer is a bit harder, so hopefully you don't need to do that. But if you do, I can direct you on how to do that also.

I haven't been able to download on my iPhone 4 since yesterday morning, but it works fine on my PC or accessing via Safari. • PC T'bird users having trouble with my Mail e-mail with attachments

Lately a couple of co-workers have had bizarre troubles with e-mail I've sent them with attachments. I'm using Mail on a Mac (10.5.8), they're using Thunderbird on PCs. When I've sent them attachments ("Windows-friendly," attached at end of e-mail), they haven't been able to e-mail me via Reply . . . their font is changed to white on white. Occasionally their whole application will hang, and one person had to do a hard reboot. Only other relevant detail I have is that the mail I send them originates as Stationery, and some of the text is colored. I'm currently working to narrow down the variables, but if that "white on white" issue rings a bell immediately to anyone, I'd be very curious to hear about it.
    Mucho thanko.
    Rob

After a series of tests with the Thunderbird users, we've established the problem was not:
    Mail/Thunderbird incompatibility
    related to Mail's stationery
    related to styled text
    only because of attachments
    only because of PDF attachments
Both users had the trouble after I forwarded PDFs to them from two different outside suppliers. So far, my theory is that there was something about those particular files. After five run-throughs where the co-workers had no problems with e-mail from me, I now want to replicate the problem, but (understandably) they're not eager to lose their work time to do it. I'll post more as I learn more.
Thanks, BDAqua for the ideas about blank lines around the attachment.

  • Having Trouble With E-mails That Involve Animation

This is too weird. When I receive an e-mail that has animation in it it comes through freeze framed in Mail. It does not matter if it is in my .Mac account or Verizon account. Just for the heck of it I forwarded it to myself using the Verizon account and opened it in Safari. I also did the same thing with my .mac account. I opened it on the web. Bingo, I had animation. I am also having trouble with WMV's. Why can I not get any animation in Mail? Is there something I am doing wrong? any way to correct this?

  • Having issues with Yahoo mail on ios4 on a 3GS

Is anyone else experiencing issues with Yahoo mail on their 3GS after the upgrade to ios4?? Keep getting an imap server error, but gmail works fine.

Same problem. I have two Yahoo! Mail accounts. One stopped sending mail, while the other was fine. (Both could receive, however.) To solve that, I deleted the problematic account from the phone and reinstalled it. It worked... until I synced by iPhone with iTunes. Now both Yahoo! Mail accounts will not work, and deleting them and reinstalling them does nothing.
Apple had better fix this. (Or I'll whine louder.)

  • Trouble with Yahoo Mail in setting up new computer

    Hi.
I'm having this issue getting a new Mac set up with a Yahoo account. I already have another machine set up with a yahoo account in the Mail app working just fine. Then, I'm setting up a new laptop and I used Mobile Me to sync the new computer with the old computer's Mail accounts. One of them is a Yahoo account. When, after a long time setting up, the new machine can only get Yahoo mail up to a certain date. Any new mails will not be downloaded to the new machine. I can't figure out how to get these newer messages onto the new machine. I have Yahoo set to keep all messages. This is the first time I've had this issue. I'm afraid to delete the account on the new machine for fear of Mobile Me syncing to the older machine and deleting the account on it.
    Anyone have any thoughts?
    Antonio

Since a Yahoo account can be created and accessed as a POP account only with the Mail.app on your Mac, it shouldn't matter if you delete and manually recreate the account with the Mail.app on your new Mac. This will not affect all received messages that remain on the server even if the account is deleted with the Mail.app on your other Mac, which I don't beleive it will. You can temporarily disable syncing with your MobileMe account on the other Mac before deleting and manually recreating the account with the Mail.app on your new Mac and then re-enable syncing with MobileMe on the other Mac after doing so.

  • Anyone else having trouble with push mail?

Yahoo and Outlook mail push have not worked the past several days. Yahoo mail has been stuck on 'downloading message 1 of 70' and sticks and Outlook mail is functioning more like manual fetch. I have deleted and reinstalled both accounts, restored from a previous backup, hard reset, etc. without any luck.
    Any advice?

    You're welcome.
If you are accessing your work email account with the iPhone's mail client, unless the account is an Exchange account being accessed via ActiveSync with the iPhone's mail client - created by selecting the Exchange account preset when creating the account, you are not accessing your work email account via push with the iPhone's mail client. Push access with the iPhone's mail client is supported with a MobileMe account, an Exchange account, a Yahoo account, and with a Gmail account, which can now be accessed as an Exchange account with the iPhone's mail client.
If an iPhone reset, deleting and manually recreating the accounts with the iPhone's mail client, restoring the iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup, and restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup does not resolve it, I suggest giving Yahoo technical support a call. Unless your work account is an Exchange account, I wouldn't call anyone since Push access isn't supported with the account unless you are accessing the account as an IMAP account and your company has incorporated Push access at their company server, which I doubt is likely.
