I am having using my mail accounts on multiple computers

I have all of my email accounts (mostly gmail) setup on my Mail application on my iMac, Macbook, and iPod touch. I am having trouble with receiving all my mail. Some emails show on one computer and never show up anywhere else. Does anyone know if there is a setting or something I am doing wrong which is causes a less than seemless integration among my different mail applications? Help I am tired of having to go online to all of my accounts to get all of my emails.

this happens because you are using gmail POP. I strongly recommend you switch to gmail IMAP. unlike POP IMAP syncs local mailboxes with the server and there will never be a issue of having different messages not showing up on some computers.
Use gmail help pages on how to set up gmail IMAP in Mail:

  • Using same mail certificate on multiple computers

I have a MacPro and a MacBookPro. I could just retrieve my Thawte email certificate on both and they would be usable to encryption and signing on both computers. This renewal though only the requesting computer (the MacPro) shows them up in the 'My Certificate' section with both the public and the private key - downloading the certificate with the MBP just adds it to the 'Certificates' section with just the public so I can't sign or encrypt from there.
How is it keying them to the particular machine? I of course want what I previously had: a signed email account not tied to a particular originating machine.
Is it something simple? Do I need to transfer Thawte certificates too?

    Hi,
This is what i did for installing wildcard certificates:
On the OS of the sap server, log in with the sapadm account.
    Open a command prompt:
make a backup of your sec directory in drive:\usr\sap\<SID>DVEBMGS00\  (just to be sure)
    cd to drive:\usr\sap\<SID>DVEBMGS00\exe
    >sapgenpse.exe import_p12 =p SAPSSLS.PSE location\to\the\certfile.pfx
It will ask you for the pin, and to overwrite the file, answer yes.
Now copy the new SAPSSLS.PSE to a desktop that has sapgui
Login with the sapgui and run transaction strust
Select import from the PSE menu and open the SAPSSLS.PSE
Then again goto PSE menu  and select Save As
I saved it twice, once in System PSE  and then again in SSL Server
For me SSL is now working without problems on a couple of servers.
    -small update-
You can check internal servers using the certificate utility from digicert https://www.digicert.com/util/
It has the option to specify port numbers, usefull for internal web services.

  • Iphone5 - lost my contacts when moving from BT Yahoo to BT Mail. I do not back up to iCloud and I did not use my mail account for contacts.  Can anyone help to find and restore my contacts?

IPhone5. I have lost my contacts when moving from BT Yahoo to BT Mail. I do not backup to iCloud and do not use my mail account to store contacts.  Can anyone help find the contacts on my phone and restore them?

Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service like Gmail, iCloud, or an Exchange server.
Have you failed to use the device as designed?

New to Apple products (finally) - can I use my Itunes account with multiple products e.g. Iphone and Ipad?

Oh yes! Apple will be happy for you to buy as many Apple products as you can afford.
As and when needed, each can be given its own selections of content to sync with.

  • Can I use one itunes account for multiple users and multiple devices

Can I use one itunes account for multiple users and multiple devices?

The iTunes EULA, as I understand it (I'm not an attorney )for Apps is basically that one person can use an App multiple devices, or multiple people can use an App one device..so one to many or many to one, but not many to many....

I can use the same account on two computers?

You can use the same serial number on two computers, given the conditions in the end-user license agreement (You cannot have Lightroom using the same serial number in use on two computers at the same time, and both installations must be for your own personal use.)

  • Now that iCloud has done away with galleries, how can we share as I did with MobileMe? How can we sync non-Apple email accounts across multiple computers?

Now that iCloud has done away with galleries, how can we share as I did with MobileMe? How can we sync non-Apple email accounts across multiple computers?

You will need to find a third party solution for online storage in order to share things like photos with others. Some popular solutions to this are dropbox and sugarsync.
You cannot sync non-iCloud email accounts across your iOS devices and computers unless they are IMAP accounts like iCloud. If they are IMAP accounts, you will do it in the same way as you have always done.

  • Using the same library with multiple computers over a network Use Aperture

Hi Everyone. I am researching some cataloguing/editing programs to recommend one to my boss, and I was wondering if it was possible to use the same library between multiple computers on a network. Does anyone know if this is possible? This may be what makes or breaks the decision on whether or not to go with Aperture as we need a program that can access a large database of photos on multiple computers.
    Thank you.

    Welcome to the forum.
    You can do it, but...
    It's not supported by Apple.
Performance won't be great unless you're running a really fast network.
If more than one person tries to access the Library at one time you're likely to end up with a corrupted database, and there's no code in Aperture to limit access to one person at a time.
The Library must be stored on an HFS+ volume - don't even try putting it on a FAT32-formatted drive.
If you want 'proper' multi-concurrent-user network-enabled cataloguing software you're looking into a whole different level of investment than the low price of Aperture - think more in terms of thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars.

  • Can I access my itunes account from multiple computers?

Can I access my itunes account on multiple computers?

    What do you mean access?
You can certainly sign into your account from any computer with itunes.
Your content will only be where you put it.  You can put it/copy it wherever you like.
In some countries you can redownload some itunes purchased content:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • Trouble using Yahoo mail accounts on iPad

    Hello,
I posted to another community as well, and we are working on this with no luck so far:
I have yahoo based e-mail accounts.  I have them set to keep e-mails on server until I manually delete.  This works on my computer and iPhone, but not on the iPad mini.
If I first open the e-mails on the iPhone or computer, then I can still see them on both of those devices, and the iPad.  BUT if I open them first on the iPad, they never arrive on the iPhone or the computer.
The iPad is automatically set up with IMAP.  I'd like to skip using iCloud if possible.
    Any suggestions?

so the pad is using the yahoo account as an i map account.  And yahoo is an imap service.  Sounds like you have they phone and computer set up to use it as a pop account.  I think you need to go one way or the other.
try this - write down all of your yahoo settings on the pad for furutre use.  then delete the account from the pad.
Add a new account, but do not use the yahoo button, use the other button.  Enter your yahoo credentials, and I believe at some point it will ask you if you want imap or pop.  Choose pop, if that is what you want.

  • How to use 2 MAIL account on one iPad?

I have set 2 MAIL account but I can only see one. How can I get MAIL incoming to my second MAIL account?

If you did create two email accounts on your iPad, when you tap the mail icon and it opens, tap the mail button to take you back to inboxes, where you'll see both accounts.

  • How can I create additional IDs but use one iTunes account on multiple devices to purchase music?

Is it possible to have a "family" iTunes account that we all share but have a different Apple ID for 2 daughter's iPods and a different Apple ID for mom's iPhone?

Only iTunes running on a computer can be authorized to use more than one Apple ID. I don't know what the limit is if there is one.
iOS devices* can only be configured to use one Apple ID for use with the iTunes Store. (However, a separate Apple ID can be used for iCloud services like mail, calendar, contacts etc., but that is a separate issue.)
Home Sharing can only be configured to use one Apple ID at a time so if you want to use Home Sharing to connect an iOS device to an iTunes library or to connect multiple computers to an iTunes library you can only do it with one Apple ID.
So, with all that in mind, yes you can create separate Apple IDs for everyone but it will affect what you can do with the apps and media you purchase from iTunes. If everyone shares a family account then there will be no restriction on who can play, install or share the media or apps. If you create separate accounts there will be restrictions on what can be shared or installed on the various devices.
A family will benefit from sharing a family account that everyone has access to. If you have parental concerns about restricting access to certain apps/media for younger children than a separate account shared by the children may be the answer.
*iOS devices are iPod Touchs, iPads, iPhones and Apple TVs.
